I didn't know how to feel staring at the house before me. I've always wanted a family, yet staring at the house of the people that could possibly have my blood, I felt nothing but fear and anxiety. I thought I'd be elated at the sight of their home, but clearly that hadn't been the case.

"You're shaking.." Damian pointed out before reaching for my hand. "I'm sure they'll be nice, there's nothing for you to fear." He whispered before giving me a light kiss on the forehead.

Damian was probably right, but them being rude wasn't exactly what I was afraid of. I was scared of being rejected, being repudiated by the only people whom I share the same blood with. It wasn't the first time I'd be getting rejected, in fact I was already used to that. However, standing here in front of the house, I just couldn't help but shake in fear.
