A Bully's Resignation

The crowd looks at both of them, pointing their blades at each other's heads. Zeth is already taking his stance while Cerios remained calm without even putting his blades up.

"For you, I only need one blade to kill you. You may repent here and now or continue and suffer the consequences.", Cerios says to Zeth.

"Seriously, I don't even remember offending someone like you. I don't know who you are but this is our duel, he'll be seen as a coward if hides behind somebody's back.", Zeth smirks at Cerios.

'This guy... I can't fight him. My instincts are telling me that he's dangerous.', Zeth says in his mind.

'Shit! Shit!, how did it come to this!? I unconsciously accepted a duel with him! There has to be a way to turn the tables around once I fight him.', Angel says in his mind.

[You have sufficient gold to do a summon, would you like to summon? Yes or no?]

'Huh? How is summoning units will even help me in this situation?', Angel asks in his mind.

'Whatever, yes I will be doing a summoning.', Angel says in his mind.

[The user has answered yes. Automatic summoning will commence.]

'Huh? There's no special effects that happened like last time. There's usually a magic circle that appears on the ground whenever a summoning happens.', Angel says in his mind.

[You have successfully summoned 'Basic Swordsmanship'(E)(Type: Passive)]

'Wait, you can also summon skills as well!?', Angel says in his mind.

[System has detected that you have successfully two of the same summon. 'Merge' has been unlocked, you are now able to merge two of the same summon to obtain a stronger version of it. Would you like to merge?]

'Yes!', Angel shouts in his mind.

"Mister, get out of my way before I decide to slice you down.", Zeth says with a serious face.

"Try if you can!", Cerios says with a smile on his face.

As Cerios was about to unsheathe his sword, Angel grabbed his shoulder.

"Cerios, step back for now and lend me one of your blade.", Angel says confidently.

Without asking why, Cerios simply nodded and gave Angel his blade. The crowd was already livestreaming the event.

"Zeth, I'll end your bullying here right now.", Angel seriously says to Zeth.

[System has detected that user is holding a blade, 'Advanced Swordsmanship' will activate.]

[You will be more proficient with the blade, advanced blade techniques will be automatically learnt.]

As the gust of wind went past them, both of their swords clashed. It was a continuous series of defense and offense and not one of them was showing any signs going down. Zeth's swordmanship is on par with Angel's advanced swordmanship but their is one difference they have, weapon. Both of them are holding weapons, Zeth is holding a long sword while Angel is holding a musashi katana. The difference is that Zeth's longsword is only infused with mana but Cerios blade contains deadly skills.

Angel gripped Cerios blade and waved it in the air, Zeth felt confused but he could feel something, two wind slashes appeared in the air, aimed at him. Zeth tried to block it with his sword but his sword got cut to half instead. 

"What the? My sword got cut?", Zeth says in frustration.

"Its over Zeth, don't come seeing me with your damn attitude.", Angel seriously says.

"You... what did you do!? You weren't this dangerous earlier, yet why is it that your presence has gotten deadlier!?", Zeth asks in frustration.

"Its my ability Zeth, I have nothing to do with you anymore. Lets go Cerios!", Angel says.

Cerios disappeared as Angel shouted the command. Through the livestream from the crowd, multiple guilds has watched Angel's skills which made Angel another target of scouters. As Angel walks home, he remembers the time of him being only a porter, used to carry the bags and supplies of the defenders but now he's a defender himself, he received a responsibility which will determine the human race's survival.

Angel returned home at evening, tired due to the duel with Zeth. 

"I still have a long way to go. If it weren't for Cerios moon blade's skills, my chances of winning against him would even be less than 50 percent.", Angel says as he places a pillow on his head.

The sun moon has risen and Angel had fallen to a deep sleep. 

[A unit has unconditionally summoned itself.]

 'I'm sorry master, I can't let a bastard who disrespected you continue to live. No being shall see the light of day who points their blade at my master.", Cerios says to himself as he looks at Angel sleeping on his bed.

Cerios went out of the house swiftly moved, trying to search for Zeth's location. After a bit of time, Cerios found him, he found him at a pub drinking to his liking. Before moving, Cerios wore mask and sat beside him.

"Hehe, who are you supposed to be, wearing a mask and all that, wait huh... that outfit-", Before Zeth can even finish his sentence, Cerios pierced his throat with a small blade hidden under his sleeve, a quiet kill. The system detected that a unit summoning itself is considered as an error as it cannot happen.

[Error detected, troubleshooting error, error has been fixed.]

Cerios returned back to the system unit inventory and left Zeth's corpse inside the pub. The sun had risen and as soon Angel woke up, he was bombarded by multiple messages from the system.

[Multiple gods has taken notice of your existence.]

[Some gods has decided to watch you.]

[Minister of the dead kingdom watches you]

[Beholder of the thundering clouds watches you]

[The seer of the east watches you]

[Ruler of the Four seas watches you]

"Seriously, this system really doesn't talk anything like how an A.I does, but gods huh. A new goal is now ahead of me.", Angel says as he readies for challenging his first dungeon as a defender.
