As the ex-heroine of a novel, all I've become is a stepping stone for the "villainess" to seem more heroic than me.

My "destined soulmate"?

Stolen.

My "loyal companion"?

Stolen.

My "doting family"?

Stolen.

Everything that has ever belonged to me was given to her. But of course, whenever I try to act out of role, I get criticized for using dark magic and witchery.

This life of mine is just repeated, each future changing as the "villainess" picks a road.

In the end, I'm met with a sword in my heart from "my" beloved.

Or maybe a sliced throat from my "loyal" companion

Or getting exiled by my "doting" older brother and getting ambushed by assassins on the way.

Or perhaps a public execution? Maybe getting hung, drowned, burned, stoned, eaten, or beheaded alive.

As the men fawn over their dear Carol, Lily gets painfully dragged and thrown into a prison cell.

"She's fortunate the Lady was forgiving enough stop us from torturing her."

"It's so sad seeing the Lady bend over backwards to help her, yet all she does is act like an ungrateful whore."

"I hope she gets hung." One said.

"A witch like her deserves to be burned alive." Another snorted as their voices got further and further.
