War Against the Dumont Dukedom (3)

Everyone on Gar's side was mad so this time, they sent a guy named Tyboldt to get a victory for their team.

The guy named Tyboldt is extremely tall and muscular, someone who looks like he has the bloodline of a giant.

"Now let's see how your pathetic lot will deal with Tyboldt"

Gar muttered to himself as he stared daggers at Blanc's group.

"Eden, you're up."

Eden slowly walked towards the middle of the dueling grounds. As soon as he revealed himself, the remaining members of Gar's group started laughing including Gar himself.

"Hahahahaha look at how small this guy is compared to Tyboldt. He's probably gonna snap like a twig!"

Gar remarked loudly.

Blanc smiled upon hearing that Eden was being underestimated. This guy right here is a ranger which is on par with a Swordmaster.

If physique alone can win fights then there would be no sense in training in weapon mastery.

A few moments later, the two fighters met eye to eye and Tyboldt was the first to speak.

"So you're the one fighting me? How boring. I could snap you in half right now."

Eden didn't say anything and just stared at Tyboldt.

"Hahahahaha look! The guy is shaking in his boots!" Gar exclaimed.

A few more moments later, the battle finally began.

"ARRRRRGHHHH!"

*CLANG*

Tyboldt slashed at Eden. As expected by Gar's group, Eden was sent sliding four meters back.

"Hahahaha how weak! Tyboldt! Destroy this guy immediately and show them the difference between the Dukedom and their delusional backwater city!"

A few exchanges were made and Eden was getting pushed back each time.

Gar arrogantly looked at Blanc's party and his brows furrowed upon seeing that no one seemed to be panicking.

If anything, the bitch that argued with him earlier is yawning.

Gar is starting to get annoyed again. He has never suffered such setbacks in his life. He is used to winning all the time.

From the time he enrolled in the Dukedom's swordsmanship academy to the time that he was granted a special unit status, he has never once suffered any setbacks.

Today, however, he seems to be suffering humiliation after humiliation so he was dying to get revenge even in the smallest way possible.

If Tyboldt wins here, then he will get some face back.

*CLANG*

After another clash, Eden was sent sliding back even farther this time.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! You're no match for me little pipsqueak, just give up!"

However, Eden suddenly threw his sword away and unequipped his iron equipment as if he was "quitting" the match.

Gar was puzzled so he couldn't help but exclaim

"Hey! Are you stupid? Didn't you hear that this is a fight to the death? There's no such thing as "I quit" here!"

Eden didn't pay any attention to him and continued removing his heavy iron equipment.

After a while, a light leather armor was revealed underneath the iron equipment. In addition to this, Eden drew his bow.

"HAHAHAHAHA! Absolutely stupid! You think fighting as an archer when you're this close to each other is gonna work?!"

Gar taunted.

However, Eden didn't respond and pulled on his bowstrings. Tyboldt didn't care at all since he could take an arrow or two in exchange for his enemy's life.

Unfortunately for him, Eden wasn't a simple archer.

Eden coated his arrows in a green light that seemed to come from his fingertips.

After a few milliseconds, the arrow is already fully covered in green light.

This happened so fast that Tyboldt was unable to react.

The arrow left Eden's bow as he released the bowstrings.

*THWACK* *SPURT*

"AHHHHHH!!"

Tyboldt exclaimed in horror after realizing that his right hand was gone.

Before he even recovered from his shock, another arrow shot right through his left shoulder and his entire left arm fell to the ground.

"Oh? I thought you were sturdy?"

Eden said with a mocking tone.

"STOP!! STOP THE MATCH!! YOU'RE CHEATING AGAIN!!"

Gar Grayleaf hurriedly protested to stop the match. However, he was too late because Eden's final arrow flew right through Tyboldt's skull and his head popped like a watermelon.

His brain matter splashed everywhere and one eyeball rolled towards the direction of Gar's team.

Gar couldn't take it anymore and charged straight at Eden while he was walking back towards Blanc and the others.

Fortunately, Alexander responded quickly.

*CLANG*

Alexander and Gar's swords clashed.

"You want to prevent me from killing that cheating bastard? Fine! You can die as well!"

Gar angrily said.

"Being an archer is cheating? How idiotic! Return to your side! We still have four more matches!"

Alexander retorted.

"Fuck the remaining matches! Warriors of the Dumont Dukedom! Attack!"

Gar has gone crazy after being humiliated twice and chose to break the six versus six agreement.

After hearing Gar's orders, the Dumont Dukedom army started to attack again.

Seeing that the war was about to start again, Blanc's team of six retreated.

Although Alexander had a bit of trouble retreating since he was being bugged by Gar, in the end, he made it back in time before the enemy army arrived.

After a few more moments, the war began again.

*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*

This time, however, it wasn't only the soldiers, the battalion commanders also joined in.

Alexander was the one dueling against Gar while Sabre and the others fought against Gar's commanders.

Unfortunately for them, Resonance City had more commanders and the free commanders were slaying both elite and ordinary soldiers left and right.

"You're pretty good, however, you'll still fall before me. After I kill you, let's see who can stop me while I'm massacring your entire army"

Gar knows that his army is losing against the enemy army but he believes that as long as he kills all of Resonance City's elites, they will be able to turn the tides and he will be in the spotlight again.

Alexander didn't respond to Gar's taunts and just continued clashing with him.

"I'm the best here? What a joke. You're lucky that our general Helena isn't rushing to finish you off!"

Alexander thought to himself.

Unbeknownst to Gar, a large army of 3,000 soldiers was already marching behind them.
