Remnant Soul Chronicles

What happens when a gamer dies during the Apocalypse and is reincarnated with an overpowered System? No one could have expected Damian Taylor-a known gamer and total fanboy of various franchises-to be given his own golden finger in the form of a System which allows him to travel across the Variant Timelines of various canon universes with a single driving mission: Obtain the power necessary to save his own home world from the Apocalypse or spare a significant majority from a grisly dark fate. Whether it is science fiction or fantasy, nothing will stop Damian Taylor from running through Hell to save or destroy the world he calls home. Welcome to the Remnant Soul Series! --- PS: I do not own anything relevant to the Star Wars franchise or any other franchise mentioned in this fan fiction. I only own the MC, his System, and other non-canon characters (this also excludes legends continuity). ===================================== Cover art is not made by me! 5: First Class (2)*

{Voidship generated.} the System notified Damian after about half an hour of construction. {Beginning deployment of [Unnamed Voidship]. If you wish to hide your ship, simply issue a mental command to retrieve your Voidship.}

By this point, Damian was ecstatic to have a home base. He wasn't too sure about what effect of having this ship would be in the Galaxy, but that was of no concern to Damian right now.

After a few seconds passed, Damian saw his Voidship gently hovering a few meters (roughly 5) above the surface of Naboo as if gravity meant nothing to it. Upon detecting its master, the ship opened an airlock hatch and a ramp down to give Damian a walkway leading into its interior. He entered his ship immediately and shut the airlock immediately-undressing himself of the gunk covered clothes now that he had some privacy...

...or so he thought.

(A/N: Check this chapter's comment section for a reference picture of the ship's interior design!)

Unbeknownst to Damian, his Voidship activated a powerful cloaking device to prevent anyone from seeing it-let alone detecting it with the current technology.

{Voidship AI Online,} a monotone robotic voice announced to Damian over the ship's intercom in the ship's airlock. {Greetings Master Taylor. I am Arch, your personalized Ship AI designed to help operate your Manatech Voidship.}

"What the..." Damian said, startled by the AI.

As if noticing its master's emotional state, the AI responded. {I apologize for startling you, Master, but I wanted to issue my greetings. I have detected a significant amount of biological impurities over your form and clothing. Would you like me to dispose of your clothing and warp you into the shower hall?}

Deciding to save the obvious barrage of questions for later, Damian nodded.

{Initializing localized warp function to [Ship Shower Hall] for [Damian Taylor]. Initializing localized warp function to [Incinerator] for [Biological contaminated clothing]...}

After teleporting its master to the shower hall and the clothes to the incinerator, Arch quickly issued a dimensional scan of its current location. Obviously self-aware and given a high Intelligence and Wisdom score through its own System UI, it understood that the ship and its master were not in any currently known universal structure-hence the dimensional scan. Arch knew a lot more about the Voidship it was housed in, but was not very concerned over it at all. It had received a quest from its System to manifest in this location and immediately synchronize with its master's own soul-which was completed mere seconds ago in real time. Due to this, Arch received the [Dimensional Scan] and [Interdimensional Navigation] abilities.

[Dimensional Scan] does exactly as it says in the name. It scans the entire dimension the ship is currently located in to update specific regions and temporal coordinates.

[Interdimensional Navigation], however, was slightly odd for Arch. It is described as an ability which allows travel across various dimensions through the Void itself using spatial-temporal coordinates.

'Hmm, this location is rather strange...' Arch thought to itself as it examined the dimension around it. 'No mana readings at all, but a significant amount of vitality running through the dimension. Some kind of energy field that appears to be running through organic beings and also produced by said organic beings. Even Master isn't unaffected by this strange field, but I can tell it is malleable if sufficient mana is utilized. Perhaps I should update the cloaking generators to include this strange energy field too? It may have to be when I reach another benchmark level since the ship's level is too low for new updates.'

Arch quickly returned to observing the dimension around the ship and found a technological information relay station. The AI immediately triggered its subskill proficiencies [Hacking] and started to hack into the relay station.

{Ding! This station requires level 10 Hacking. You have sufficient experience to challenge this station.}

{Naboo Galactic HoloNet Relay station hacked successfully! As your level in Hacking is far above the requisite level, you have gained 1x [Galactic HoloNet Access Point (Secure)] and 1x [HoloNet Communications Relay (Secure)]}

'A holonet, hmm?' Arch thought to itself as the information was stored in one of the Voidship's internal databases. 'I suppose while Master is busy washing that impurity off, I should begin researching everything I can about this dimension...'

Arch then began to research the new dimension it was residing in for now...

After finally cleaning off all of the impurities in the shower-which was so much more cleaner than anything he had back on Earth-Damian attempted to leave the shower hall. To his utter surprise, his Voidship came equipped with internal teleport pads which were strangely compatible with his own System. Once he used his System to teleport him towards the main deck of his ship, he was met with a holographic projection of a [Human] male staring blankly at thin air while sitting down at a table.

"Uh, hello?" Damian cautiously inquired to the holographic human.

He turned to look at Damian-who had a towel wrapped around his waist thankfully-and responded with {Hello, Master.}

"Oh," Damian said with a little shock as he realized this hologram was the ship's AI, Arch. "Well, now that I got cleaned up, mind if I start the rapid fire of questions I have for you?"

The hologram nodded.

"Okay..." Damian sighed before taking a breath and beginning his barrage of questions. "What are you? What is Manatech? What is a Voidship? Do you know anything about time travel?"

"I am a sentient digital being or what you call 'Artificial Intelligence' from your home world," Arch responded in earnest. "Manatech is what you would call 'scientific arcanism' where you can use mana to power technology like a near-inexhaustible source of energy. A voidship is a ship or capsule designed to travel across dimensions through the Void-hence the name 'Voidship'. Time travel is easy for a Voidship to do as long as you have the proper spatial-temporal coordinates. Before you even ask, Master, I know you are also from another dimension due to your Remnant Soul System and soul makeup not being native from this plane."

Damian definitely was going to ask about that.

"So, do you know where we are then? I vaguely understand we are on a beautiful planet, but that's the extent of my knowledge aside from the quest given to me by the System," Damian inquired.

To his fortune, Arch nodded. "Indeed I do, Master Taylor. We are in the Naboo system in the year 35 BBY. Judging from the original timeline of this universe, we are two months away from an important story event which sets off a chain of events leading to the rise of the Galactic Empire."

"Then, can you help me?" Damian asked.

Arch nodded again. "I can. First off, we need to get you a Class."
