" Why didn't you say no to Alisha and Gena's unnecessary demands? " I asked
"Are you telling me that the lady of the house can't spoil her friends? " he replied
"It was not my money... " I hesitated
"Everything I own is yours " he replied
"It's not and it can't be " I protested
"Why? " he curiously leaned forward
" why not? It's all just a contract and I am paying the debt of my father " I replied
" I see, 𝒎𝒐𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕," he said pushing back my hair stands
" you are not listening," I said
" I simply don't care " he replied
" bossy," I said
" maybe " he replied with a smile forming on his delicate face.
" I should go to bed," I said
" yes, you should " he replied looking right into my eyes

" Good night,𝒎𝒐𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 " he replied with a slight sadness spilling from his eyes or maybe I was dreaming. Something about this guy was just so weird and just did not sit right with me or maybe I was just too cautious.

" Good morning, serenity" greeted rose
" good morning, princess " greeted Jina, mocking me on the daily basis
" good morning " I greeted them back
"How was the weekend," Jina asked
" it was fine, what about you both " I replied adjusting the pile of files on my desk
" I went to the beach, what about you Jina" replied Rose
"Just the usual, taking care of my siblings " she replied shrugging her shoulders
"Poor souls must have been bullied a lot," I asked with mockery
" True, R.I.P to the Almighty Jina's siblings," said Rose joining me in
"Oh I'm planning to babysit you both too " Jina replied
"Oh no! Save us from the war Lord! " I said dramatically while both of them were giggling like tiny babies
" What's bugging you my child? " said an unfamiliar voice from the back which made me jump from the sudden shock
"Who are you, sir? " asked Rose while I turned red from the embarrassment
" Jose, little one " he replied
" Mr. Jose Myers! I'm sorry for the inconvenience, please just go in Mr.Myers will be here soon " Rose replied.
" he won't " I interrupted
"Huh? "
" Mr. Myers caught a slight cold so he is resting at home. I'm sorry for the inconvenience we have caused you today sir" I went ahead ignoring Rose and explained
"It's fine, I will visit him later " replied Mr.Jose
" thank you for understanding, have a great day" I greeted Mr. Jose
" how come you know Mr.Myers catch a cold," asked Jina
" oh well..."
‧͙⁺˚*･༓☾𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐞☽༓･*˚⁺‧͙
" Sera, are you ready? " asked Mr.Moreau outside of my room
" almost" I replied
"Okay," said Mr.Moreau
" where is Val? " I asked
" Young master is downstairs" he replied
" oh okay! Thank you" I said opening the door
" have a good day, sera," said Mr.Moreau handing me my coat.
" you too" I replied.
When I got downstairs I found Val sitting on the sofa, half asleep. I gently tapped his shoulder but he didn't respond.
" Val," I said tapping on his shoulder again
"Oh, you are ready? He asked waking up
"Yes, you don't look so well," I said
" I'm perfectly fine " he replied
But that reply just didn't sit right with me, I checked his forehead and it was burning.
" you have a fever " I panicked
" I do not— *achoo* " Before he could complete his sentence he sneezed
" yes, you do. You are going to rest now, Mr.Moreau cancel all his plans for today till he gets better" I said
" as you wish, 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘦 " he replied
" I said I'm fine, 𝒎𝒐𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕" Val protested
" sit down," I said looking him right in the eyes.
I don't know from where I got the courage to talk him back like that but he didn't mind it either. He sat back without protesting further. The rest of the day he stayed quiet and obedient, like a little quiet kid. That day I discovered he had more than the world ever witnessed. Mr.Moreau and I had trouble feeding him his medication but in the end, it was all worth it.

"Well, you see, Mr.Moreau and I ran into each other in the pharmacy and he told me that Mr. Myers is sick" I replied
" how come do you know Mr.Moreau," asked Rose
" I once saw him with Mr. Myers so I assumed he is someone close to him" I lied
" oh makes sense," said Jina
"Why don't we take a day off early and hit the beach today? " said Rose
"Sounds great, are you in Serenity?" replied Jina
" Sure " I replied without thinking twice
" that's settled then, let's finish work early and take the day off," said Rose going back to her desk
" I don't have a swimming suit," I said
" neither do I " added Jina
" then let's go shopping too " replied Rose
"Sure, you will be paying for it " replied Jina, leaning on her chair
" boohooo!!! not fun!!! " said Rose making funny faces which made me chuckle too
" let's finish the office work first, shall we? " I suggested
" As her royal highness says " replied Jina
" silly," I said smiling beneath my numb face of mine.
For some reason these two never felt new to me, somehow they were always familiar and comfortable maybe because they were always Jina and Rose, nothing more or less. Just two girls in their 20s having fun. After somewhat an hour Rose went ahead to grab coffee for us, she was our coffee expert, and she always knew what we needed without asking.
" So, how do you like the place so far," asked Jina while completely focused on typing
" it's great " I replied while going through the recent company production data
"That's good to hear " she replied
After a few minutes, Rose came back with fresh hot coffee and we all took a break to refresh ourselves. time went by in the blink of an eye and it was already noon but we were done with the day's work. we all applied for an early leave and were on our way
" So, let's go? " asked Rose
"Sure! " replied Jina
"Of course" I replied with a smile across my face.
