Library Visit

"Thanks. Hope things go better for you all." Vladis received everything and left. Stepping outside the moonlight caught him and the fairies. "Ahh, fresh night air." Slowly the natural essences from the surroundings wrapped around him. A reflex of his pulling it into his body mentally out of habit. "Oops!"

Cutting the flow off, he relaxed. The magical cultivation technique he started to use would cause problems in this time frame. It was not released in-game until a few years from now. Even more so, he wished to head to the library to get a few more things under his built to help explain how he knew to do certain stuff.

No need to get held up on matters from a developer or the Help Desk slowing progress down with an investigation.

The varios Fairies' eyes lit up in understanding. They were sure that Vladis was a User to pay attention to even more so now. The first fairy, Noin thought knowingly about some things that concerned this particular User. Her eyes flashing as she made sure the Game Logs recorded nothing unusual or something to look closer into what he does.

'It is good I made contact so soon. I will have to hide some of his "Personal Code" for a while. The others will think he is just a fairly interesting User. I can not let them know he is from the future like the other one.' Noin ruffled his hair a little more as she made a pillow. 'Need to make a quick move to help guide him to the correct cultivation manual to mask behavior and traits.'

"Really nice." A black-clothed fairy said. She flew from his hair to his front shirt pocket. Wanting to see more locations on the same level as Vladis. "Where are we going?"

"Huh? What do you mean we? I figure you all would be bored and take off by now." Vladis expected them to shoot off for a bit and then come back. But they stood and helped around in the building while chatting.

"Nope." Noin said. "Your hair is comfy and you are not that bad of a guy. Maybe when you go out and fight monsters, we might leave."

"Yeah, you are so weak we might all get eaten." The red fairy said from his ear in partial jest. "You should go train fist. Wait, you said you wanted to go to the library."

"Yeah, I need info." Vladis voiced while walking the streets. Eyes taking in everything as he finally noticed a few small changes. 'More Nucs are out and it seems livelier. Food for thought.'

"Then go to the library first. I know a few books to grab." Noin said hurriedly.

"Ohhh study party!" The green fairy said. She flew out ahead of everyone. "I am gonna get some drinks to take with! Especially if we are going to be there awhile!"

"I am coming to. If not you will buy all the same thing. We need variety!" The red fairy added. "What do you want Vladis?"

"Suprise me." Vladis walked off again after the two disappeared. After walking down a few streets then pulling up the map, he felt better. 'Need to change these settings, This is way to obvious!'

The map was crystal blue and glowed. Pulling it out was noticeable especially in darkness. Even with the street lights. Opening his settings, a few tweaks while he walked and it was done.

The map was now a dull gray with nothing special about it. Standard quests now showed in gold. Any active ones he took were in green.

After picking up the few night quests, Vladis finally found his way to the library. He was happy it was open 24 hours. Going in, he slid his Id into the check in.

Any book he wanted to check out, would be recorded and display a timer for how long he had it for. And for how long it could remain without charging him late fees. He was allowed to have them for 1 day before fees started gathering in the beginning. Exactly 24 hours till his reputation with the library increased.

"I need books on the surrounding area, myths & legends, plant life, monsters, and the most important, basic cultivations."

"You want our Fairy one?" Noin asked floating in front. She thought she hid it well, but Vladis caught the look in her eye. She was seeing if he would take the "easy" way out. "Only a slight cost to do so."

"Nah, I do not think it would suit me. Besides, I have the feeling it comes with some trouble." Vladis shook his head firmly no. 'I have a lot of information and a good way to build myself already. I may be a Mental Mage class wise, but the Vampire sub-race will allow me to go the same route as my previous route melee wise.'

"Well... yeah it does. You would be turned into a fairy." The black clothed fairy said.

"Yeah... no. I like my height. As well as like the things I can do now. I rather expand than limit, no offense to you all." Vladis spoke with practice ease. This was the response he had for anyone that would offer their Manual to him that he didn't know anything about or generally heard bad things about. "But thank you very much. Still travel companions?"

"Yes!" The four fairies said together. They did a little twirl and danced around happily. Vladis just stared in shock.

'Not on my life!' Vladis declined after weighing the pros and cons. It not only made the announcement on this server, but on all of them. The one thing the developers agree on was to not force people to share that info. 'I rather go at my own pace.'

Vladis accepted with ease. He had no plans on dealing with the little critters in the first place. The biggest reason, is that they steal and lied with every other sentence. No way would he deal with them in this life if he could help it.

"Well let's get started shall we." Smiling he went searching using the "Book Help" option. Not forgetting to put the ring on, he was not surprised to feel it bound to him. The silver band felt cool on his finger. He could feel the clear gem absorb stray loose essences. 'So low it is not noticeable. That is good. I need to check on that later if it can help hide my natural pull in mentally. First time I received something like this. Surprise no stat bonuses.'

The fairies found a room and occupied it. Then went to get various books. While going through, Vladis noticed a few of the books they had grab.

It confirmed that they were Users. To be specific, controlled by them. The books were things for certain classes and races. A few specific for Females and Hermadophites. None were ghosting as a male. At least at this time anyway. He would not knock people from trying to improve themselves while at work.

Especially when it did not affect him negatively.

After grabbing over a 100 books, he sat down. The fairies had about 25 each themselves.

The two that went to get drinks had returned and spread out. They grabbed three books themselves. A lot of the books the others grabbed were what they were looking for.

"Here you go Vladis." The Red fairy passed over a red beverage. "You are a member of the Nightfolk so RedMoon drink should be up your alley."

"Thank you. Here you go as well. It is just Basic cookies but better than nothing." He pulled it from his inventory and sat it on the table. "Eat up."

"Sweet!" The basic cookies were something each User had. It increased Essences' gained by 0.5 for one hour. She started digging in instantly. "So yummy." Also really delicious to help the User Synchro rating to rise up.

The reason why he was sharing, because it was not a big deal. Eating one himself would allow the essences bar to rise faster. But seeing the fairy so ecstatic was worth it. She did after all get him a Red Moon drink.

While reading, Vladis checked over the items in his inventory.

'Equip.' Mentally saying the command his clothes swirled and changed in an instant.

The Vest was ash gray as well as the pants. They fit him perfectly.

"Nice clothes. Quite bold to change in front of people like that." The green fairy said. She had a cinnamon roll in her mouth as she eyed Vladis. "Should have done it the old-fashioned way all slow like." Her eyebrows wiggled suggestively.

"Haha." Vladis chuckled closing the book he was reading halfway. Thumb holding the position still. "Well if I have a room to myself and you want me to do so, no problem. But not everyone wants to see me like that. The body is quite pasty!"

He gave her a full tooth smile. The green fairy cheeks went red at the thought. She licked her lips absently. "I will hold you to it! You will make a good model for me to draw!"

"Ehem!" Noin interrupted cheeks puffed. "We are here to learn!"

"We are learning." Vladis said. "I just learn she likes to draw. No reason to get upset." He looked back down and started reading again. A few minutes went by with no problem. The atmosphere was very comfortable to him. 'Reminds me of my first Party before things happened.'

Good thing he needed to study as those terrible thoughts caused anger to surface a little.
