My Own Unique Armor

I walked down the left hallway until I made it to an archway that led into a massive open room. the floor was made out of stone but unlike the ruins it did not seem to have much age on it like it was kept in prime condition. the room was at least forty feet high and had lanterns along the side walls every four feet or so. due to the dimness that the lanterns created I was barely able to see what was more than six feet in front of me. on the other side of the room I saw another doorway, but in between myself and the door I saw a group of five goblin assassins.

each of the assassins had on light leather armor and wore a mask to cover their faces. their weapons varied between them one of them carried dual daggers. another one of them carried a short sword in one hand and a dagger in the other. the third one had a utility belt with a mixture of different potions. the fourth one used throwing axes. the final one had a miniature crossbow as his weapon of choice.

I then opened my grimoire to prepare my spell but as I opened it the goblin assassin with the miniature crossbow started shooting a barrage of miniature bolts at me. I quickly closed my grimoire and tried to sidestep to my right in order to dodge the bolts.

"keep on your toes and watch out for any incoming projectiles" my companion told me as it flew around the room.

my companion began to scream a sonar beam out of its mouth in order to knock the enemies back away from me. the first two shots were completely dodged by the goblin that was sniping at me with the miniature crossbow but the third one hit, and caused the goblin to drop its miniature crossbow.

I took advantage of this brief moment and open my grimoire to instantly cast an ice spell. "ice wave" I said and a wave of ice shot at the goblin that was disarmed and killed it.

then as the first goblin died the goblin that had potions threw one of them at me. I began to try to dodge but my companion shot a quick and sharp sonar attack at the canister which made it explode before it could make contact with my body.

"ice mine" I said a few times while I was running around placing mines of ice that would explode on contact while my companion kept shooting it's sonar attacks at the goblins that were left.

the goblin that had the dagger and short sword began to rush at me and swing it's weapons in a cross formation sweeping side to side and then up to down in constant repeat as he closed the distance between us.

then he stepped on one of my ice mines and he was frozen solid due to the intense flash freeze that the ice mine had created around him.

I created another ice wave to sever his head off and it began to roll in a circular motion until it hit the left wall. after that I activated my ice sickle barrage. the icicles pinned two of them on the floor and my companion used another intense sonar blast to blow their heads up.

finally as the last two tried to avoid my companions blast they got trapped in two of the ice mines I had placed. so I did the same thing again and created an ice wave to sever their heads completely off.

after all of the goblins were slain I walked to the end of the room and avoided the few ice mines that I had placed. the door that I walked through to get out of this room and into the next one was small and metal.

as I walked through the door my bat companion landed on my left shoulder and began to speak to me telepathically.

"do you understand that I will not be able to use my basic sonar attack forever it drains a good amount of my stamina. just make sure that you are careful from now on since I will not be able to use it as frequently as I did during the last fight."

"all right thanks for the warning. I will do my best to pay attention to my surroundings and see what the enemies have in store for me before I take a direct approach to taking them down."

when I made it through the door I noticed at the end of this massive room that had six stone columns supporting the ceiling there was a massive door that was made out of dark oak and it also had a blue barrier over it. so I turned around and made my way back to the point where we all split up because I did not have any anti-magic or any dispelling skills.

I sat around for about forty minutes waiting for the other party members to come back. the whole group made it back to the center, and when they did we all discussed what we had found in each of the areas that we went to. apparently everyone had found a mixture of enemies to fight but the area I was supposed to search had the main treasury room where this ancient city put all of the items that were of great valuable.

so everyone followed me back to where the magical barrier that was keeping us from getting to all the valuables from this ancient city. when we passed by the dead goblins everybody except for James complimented me when they saw how the goblins had been slaughtered.

James began to ring his different bells to detect where on the door the traps were and where the off switches were for the multi-layer barrier that was around the door were located. it took him a few moments to detect and disarm all of the traps that were on the barrier and then disable it so we could gain access to the door.

after the barrier and traps were disabled James and I pushed the door open with a great amount of force.

"okay everybody look around and see what you can find remember the rule that we set before we started this mission. no member of this party is going to become massively greedy under my watch" Sarah said as she started to walk deeper into the treasury hall of the dungeon.

this area was very bright and lit up unlike the rest of the dungeon. I saw a massive amount of gold and jewels of many kinds. then I noticed a large number of scrolls and books that were on the left wall. finally I saw a large variety of weapons and armor that were against the rear wall. I knew that this treasure hall would hold either items of great importance to me or items that would be worth a large amount of money.

we all spent a good amount of time searching the area for valuables. I saw Alex grab a few small bags and begin to put a lot of the items inside of it. the bag must have been a magical bag of some kind or it would not have been able to fit all of the weapons, armor, books, and scrolls that were in the room inside of it without being torn. finally Alex grabbed his backpack and put the small piles of jewels inside of it and sealed it shut so that he could keep the items in there safely.

next we all met back in the center of the treasury with bags full of items and jewels.

we all walked out of the dungeon excited about what we were going to do with these new items that we had found on our adventure. it took us a few minutes to go through everything and then a few extra minutes to decide who was going to get what.

I ended up getting the scrolls that were in the library and a few of the rubies to take with me and do with as I please. when everything was divvied up we all walked back to the city to turn in the quest and get our money for completing the assignment that we had taken after the adventures guild got to collect their thirty percent fee.

everyone went their separate way whenever we made it through the gate of the city. the first thing that I did was go to a jeweler and trade these jewels for money. each of the rubies I was given were worth twenty gold pieces. next I went to the magic store and sold all of the scrolls that did not have any ice related spells. finally, I went from the magic item store to the town's elite blacksmith.

the blacksmith looked at me and began asking me what it was that I required his services for.

"I came here in order to see if you could make me mages armor?" I asked him while I saw him pounding his hammer against steel.

"yes I can make that for you. do you have the materials that are required for me to make magic armor for you?" the blacksmith asked me as he stopped hitting his hammer against the iron.

"no I do not have any kind of materials in hand. I will pay you extra if you have the materials to spare".

"I have all of the materials but there is one part that only you possess that is needed for this magic armor you were requesting me to make for you. I am going to get my magic jar and I will need you to pour as much of your own raw mana into it that you can".

the blacksmith grabbed a massive jar that was under one of his tables and it had some ancient writing on the side of it as well as a seal. he then put it down on the table that was between us for me to put my mana into.

I poured my light blue colored mana from my hands into the jar in small shards of ice until the jar was completely full.

after I stopped pouring manna into the jar the blacksmith sealed it with a metal lid and then put the seal over the top and it caused the ice to morph into just raw mana.

"since you have not done this before I will give you some more information about why I needed your physical mana to complete this for you. the main reason is because of the fact that the armor Auto adjusts to your size no matter how small or large you are since your physical mana is constantly running through this armor. also I do want to know what kind of magic you use so that I can embed a few magical stones into the armor".

"I cast ice magic" I told the blacksmith as I showed him my grimoire as proof so that he did not think that I was bluffing about my magic type.

"it will cost you fourteen gold pieces so that I can complete this for you and it will be done within four days."

I handed him the money and then left him to his work and found myself a room in the local inn to get the rest I needed. I truly cannot wait until the magic armor is done because I know that it will be unique and something that will have a personal place in my heart.
