Chapter 5

As the morning came, the sun rose to the sky. A boy was cleaning with a broom in his hand in the courtyard in an open space between the main structure of the castle and the gates.

A soldier came by and said, "Oh, you're early today aster~ doing some cleaning today are you?" 

Aster heard it he smiled and before replying back" Haha, mister soldier. the same goes for you too."

The soldier laughed when he heard it and walked with a sword in his waist.

Aster turned around, looked at the inside of the castle bustling with a maid and butler preparing for something and thought of the date today and said." System, what date, month and year is today?"

{System date} > Monday, December 22, 1822. 

Looking at the date, he remembered Elsa's fifth birthday today.

Anna's birthday came on June 21, 1821. 

And now that it's December 22. It really means that it's Elsa's birthday today! 

" Is that why Elsa didn't bother me today? Is it because she's preparing for her birthday? Hmm… sounds like it." Aster thought while cleaning with his broom on the ground. 

Almost everyday he was always bothered by Elsa that she wanted to play tag like always! Experiencing those things that he didn't do when he's still a child in the past. He least feels excited, and happy doing what a kid's do. But sometimes he doesn't feel like doing it because of his past age. 

"It's her birthday today, so do I have to give something? Like a gift or anything considered as present? " Aster was lost in thought; he didn't do anything like giving a gift to someone before or experiencing it. 

And suddenly he remembered" Oh? At that time, Victoria said happy birthday to me in the past. And she gave me that sword and told me how to use it! "

" Is that the kind of present I should give to a little girl? " Aster was pondering, until he shook his head. 

A weapon that can kill a Protagonist? Why would he give something like that? And he doesn't have that kind of weapon either since after reincarnating all of his past equipment has disappeared and the only thing he has is the system and some decent item who can do some menial task.

" Then should I give her a gift that can increase mana capacity for her magic? No, not that either." he thought but quickly rejected that idea. 

"oh! Instead of asking myself here I should probably go and ask Butler Kai instead! I think he knows something like that! " Aster reached a conclusion and immediately realised and quickly finished cleaning in the courtyard. 

Although he did clean he didn't really clean all the courtyard floor, only half because it's so big for a child to do this alone. And Aster is not a butler or a cleaner; he just feels like doing it. 

Now that he's done he immediately runs to the castle.

Inside the castle, Aster was running and asking where Kai was. A maid knew where Kai was and talked to Aster. Before running, Aster thanked the maid. The maid gave a smile then walked away with a plate in her hand. 

Running and going around where Butler Kai was. Before going there he immediately stopped in the staircase of the ballroom and saw a few maids and butlers preparing, assigning the food, cake, and many other things. 

Aster stops running or else he'll bump into someone causing trouble as he keeps looking for butler Kai without bothering the others. He later finds Kai and sees him beside the king. 

Aster walked and went in their direction without bumping into someone.

King Agnarr and Butler kai were carefully checking the decor until they saw a boy wearing a black clothes. The same colour of his hair that matches well. 

" What are you doing here Aster? You're awake already? It's still morning and just so you know you're not a butler. But a personal friend of my birthday girl. Alright? " King Agnarr chuckled and still remembers something about what Aster told them that year. 

Aster heard the king chuckle which almost caused him to bump into someone while walking in their direction. Luckily he avoided it. 

Aster was standing near a couple of metres to the king and butler Kai  . Before, he gave formal greetings to them. " you're highness, Mr. Butler kai." 

Hearing Aster formal greetings  Agnarr nodded at Aster greetings almost like a butler formal greetings actually and the king asked again" So Aster, what are you doing here? I did tell you that you are not a butler. Right?"

After hearing the king's words he responded" I know your highness, I'm just here to ask Butler Kai about something…can i? "

Hearing what he says, he smiles gently and stares at Aster while saying " so that's what you came here for, Go ahead "

The king didn't bother them anymore and looked at the decorations inside and outside the ballroom. 

During that time, butler Kai was standing still near the corner before the king left,seemingly emotionless as ever. 

Aster reached over his pants and tugged it with his hand. "Butler Kai, I need to ask you something!" 

Butler Kai was looking at the king when the king left and felt something under his pants and he also heard a child's voice over his pants. 

"Oh Aster, what do you want to ask me for? Is it important? " he responded to Aster even though he was somewhat emotionless like without care but he still heard their conversation at the start.

" ah, it is important!" Aster urgently said. 

"Okay, then tell me what is that important thing you want to ask? " Butler Kai asked. 

Aster then said everything he's thinking about: how to buy a birthday present and how to present a gift to someone well that is literally all.

A minute later, Aster had told all about what he's thinking and looked at Butler Kai's response. 

After Butler Kai heard everything clearly. He gently looked at Aster thinking that Aster hadn't had a birthday before he came here. It's all because he had amnesia and he doesn't remember everything like his parents, birthday, or where he came from and that is a tragedy that boy had. Thinking about it, He felt somewhat sad and said to Aster properly" Aster, the present that you want to buy solely goes into yourself. You need to know what she likes and what makes her happy the most. Or you can also pick a present like any other things"

Butler Kai thought that Aster would really know it and understand it. Because Princess Elsa is always with him playing together, smiling together and even sleeping to-…

"Is that so?" Aster had a relieved expression on his face. 

Aster then thought that this was quite easy. When he clearly remembered that he was always being bothered in his sleep because Elsa can't sleep in her bed and immediately rushed into his bed to sleep and confirmed what to buy. 

" Yes," Butler Kai nodded. 

"Then, thank you butler Kai for your advice. I'll be going now to buy something " 

" w-wait, Aster!"

Aster was excitedly ready to walk off to buy something when he suddenly heard Butler Kai's voice.

"hmm… butler Kai. What is it?" Aster asked. 

"Where are you going when you don't have money to buy something?" Butler Kai gently walks with his hand in his pocket. 

"So here is some money to buy what you actually want for your present" Butler Kai gave Aster some money after he said that. 

"ah, but I can't-'' Aster was flustered by it and immediately denied Butler Kai giving him some money so suddenly. 

"Don't worry…you're present, it's for princess Elsa's birthday right? So don't worry actually that money can only buy one present and do you want me to go with you in the town?" Butler Kai later gave him the money and thus worried about him if this boy will be lost in the town. 

" Is that so, Really? Ah no I'm fine with me being alone to buy it. I know the way to the town and thank you for the money butler kai" Aster thanked butler after he received the money he got from him while reassuring butler kai. 

Butler Kai was relieved when he heard what Aster just said right now. 

And he suddenly remembered that Aster is actually smart.  

After he said that, Aster headed off to the gates while a pouch of money in his side was making his feet difficult to move. 

"Then be careful," Butler Kai said when he saw Aster walking differently going to the gates. 

The distance between Aster and the gates continues to close with each of his different steps. 

The gate is opened by the guards while Aster responds to butler Kai with a wave of his hand like a grown up man doing some cool goodbye. 

"It's actually heavy though," Aster said before the gate closed and was walking on the stone Bridge still feeling the money that butler Kai gave to him.
