The Pendant
Max, having won the bid for the enigmatic rock, felt a rush of excitement. With barely concealed enthusiasm, he quickly paid the sum he had bid. The rock was his now, but he would have to wait until the end of the auction to take possession. Deciding it was worthwhile, Max and Oliver chose to sit through the rest of the auction, anticipating the final delivery of their won item.
The next two items proved to be just as exciting, if not more so. One was a remarkable sword, a coveted relic once owned by a famed Journeyman Knight. With a distinctive design and a history steeped in countless battles, it instantly incited a fierce bidding war among the audience. The sword was ultimately sold for an astronomical sum, leaving many in the crowd awestruck.
