Reincarnation From Villainess to Princess: Journey to Being Empress

Tianshi Xue was pretty sure she already died. After falling into the depths of the sea and feeling her last breath leave her body… she was sure she was going to the afterlife. But then she woke up. In another woman’s body. And that body belonged to a princess. — Tianshi Xue was a popular model turned actress. She was known for her striking looks and not-so-good ways in the business. A lot of people admired her for the lengths she was willing to go just to be successful. But a lot of people also hated her. She was not even surprised that someone killed her—or at least tried to. She woke up in the body of Princess Lin Yingyue, the daughter of the tyrant emperor from the Shānmài Empire, promised to marry the second prince of the Hépíng Empire. But because of a sudden invasion, Tianshi Xue—now Princess Yingyue was forced to marry the man she loathed from the moment she heard his name, the notorious young general, 3rd Prince Yang Qui. Tianshi Xue found herself living in the palace—a place that housed more drama than the TV. With her new body and title as a princess, Tianshi Xue was bent on trying to find the person who wanted her dead. But on the more important note: If death was necessary for souls to transfer to another body, does that mean that the princess died also? Or did someone tried to kill her too? — Photo on the cover is not mine. Credits to the owner of the beautiful work! REMINDERS: (You will be redirected here in case you seem to forget) 1. Sleeping With The Evilest Prince

Before Tianshi Xue could even react, Prince Qui was already steering her to the middle of the floor again. His father was up from his seat and was announcing the leaving of the couple for their honeymoon.

Everybody applauded and cheered. Why would they be cheering for the consummation of their forced marriage? These people were just truly disgusting.

As much as she wanted to cringe, the smile remained in her face as if this had been her lifelong dream, to sleep with the evilest prince. As they walked down the aisle made out of people, she caught Prince Xiaodan's eyes for a second.

There was no emotion in them. Her smile faltered but she lifted the corners of her lips. She wanted to speak to him but tonight had not been the best stage for that. She and Prince Qui were in the spotlight and doing something like talking to your somewhat-ex-boyfriend was not the way to go.

As if to make sure that they were really going in the same bedroom for the night, the emperor had them followed by two guards from his own men. All the while they were walking silently on the long hallways of the palace, Tianshi Xue's heart was all over the place.

Was this really going to happen? She knew that there was nothing above the emperor's order but was she really going to sleep with Prince Qui? She could not even imagine it!

She could not even think about kissing those red plump lips!

Just by touching his cloth-covered arm made her want to jump off the balcony again.

They were in a different set of quarters and doors lined the walls. Prince Qui stopped walking at the decorated door with a flower arc and a small red carpet that began at the entrance of the hallway.

Thinking that the two guards would leave them by themselves was wrong. Both men stood on either side of the closed door and one of them opened it for them.

If Tianshi Xue could speak another language, she would be cursing in it right now.

There was no escaping the emperor's orders.

When the doors were finally closed behind them, Prince Qui moved away from her. Her hand fell to her side. The room was about double the size of her previously (already enormous) room. This one was complete with a canopy bed, TV, and a mini living room area. There was even a table for two at the balcony.

Prince Qui did not closed the balcony doors when he passed it, the cold air came in, biting Tianshi Xue's skin. "I'll use the bathroom first," the prince said and before she could answer, he was already inside. The door slammed.

Tianshi Xue walked to the other door and it confirmed her suspicion that it was a walk-in closet for the two of them. Her items were in the left side and the prince's on the right. Dresses were hung and there were too many drawers than she could count. A wall was filled with shoes—shoes that looked like something Tianshi Xue would wear in her old life.

She pulled open one of the drawers near the mirror and found glistening necklaces. The next drawer was filled with bracelets in all thickness. The metals winked at her as they caught the light. The other drawers were filled with watches and earrings.

She was about to open a cabinet near the mirror when she heard that Prince Qui was already out of the bathroom. She quickly looked for a drawer that would give her house clothes but when she found them, she was already too late.

Hugging the clothes to her chest, she turned and saw that the prince was already standing in the way of the exit of the walk-in closet in nothing but a towel that hung low from his hips. "Have you no shame?" she asked him, pleading that her eyes would not drop down to his exposed wet chest. The lights did not help as it seemed to accentuate the lines on his hard stomach. The tattoo on the left side of his body seemed to have gotten darker from when she first saw it.

"Shame? What should I be ashamed of?"

"Showing up like that!" she accused.

"It's fine. You're not the first person to see me like this. Outside the walls we don't really care if we see each other's naked body."

"It's because all of you are men."

The prince gave her an incredulous look. "And you are not?"

Tianshi Xue knew that he was only teasing but she gritted her teeth in annoyance. She chose not to answer but glared at him on the way out. She did not look elsewhere until she reached the bathroom and took a breath that she did not know she was holding.

While taking a bath, she convinced herself that the marriage with the prince was not that bad. They were going to get divorced anyway. She would just have to wait until she would have her freedom again.

Clad in her nightwear—a matching pair of pajamas, she got out of the bathroom. Prince Qui was already on the bed and was using a Linker (cellphone). The hologram was in the air in front of his face.

"I didn't think a caveman would know how to use that," she said, getting on her side of the bed. She placed her body at the far edge that one move would mean she would fall to the floor.

"What are you doing?" the prince asked her. "You're supposed to sleep on the couch."

Her mouth opened with shock. "Aren't you supposed to be the one who would sleep on the couch? You're a prince, you're supposed to be nice and kind. A gentleman?"

"I'm a prince. I'm not a knight," he said. "It's not in my job description to be giving."

"One things for sure: I'm not going to be leaving the bed," she crossed her arms over her chest. Even if it meant sleeping 'technically' next to him, she was not going to exchange her sleeping comfort for that.

"Why don't we set an arrangement? Why don't we sleep alternately on the bed? I get it tonight, you would get it tomorrow."

She frowned at him. "I'm not sleeping on a damned couch."

"On the floor then."

She covered herself with the thick blanket, her irratation for him was reaching a new peak. "If you want me out of the bed, you're going to have to get me off it."

Prince Qui smirked while still looking at the holograms in front of him. "Suit yourself. I'm just thinking about your wellbeing since you hate me so much I didn't think you would willingly sleep next to me."

She wanted to argue but there was no point reasoning with this person. Their conversation would just drag on and on. The other thing that she would not want was to keep on talking to him. So she remained quiet and built a bridge of pillows in between them.

Even though she was finally in a great bed and complete pillows, even though she slept well, nothing would prepare her for the surprise that was waiting for her when she woke up.
