Half a Pathological Liar
If there was an eject button in this, Tianshi Xue would have already pressed it way too many times. Maybe even break the button. There was a sense of panic lingering on her skin as they walked to the other tent. It was like her whole being was prickling.
Could this be the magic? Could it sense its counterparts?
She breathed out loudly before stepping inside. "I'm going to get sick with the way temperature changes here."
Prince Qui walked towards the bed where a young child was. Tianshi Xue was not even surprised when she heard the prince spoke in another language. The child answered him.
"I told her you're my wife," he said, and Tianshi Xue smiled. There were only rare cases wherein Prince Qui had to introduce her. "She said you're pretty."
"Of course, I am," Tianshi Xue said, feeling suddenly at ease because of the compliment. Then she walked to the bed and sat on the edge of it. "Hi."
