Doing Something Right
Well, the blade would have hit home if Ink did not catch it from the air.
Tianshi Xue's jaw fell open. "Wha—How is that possible?! Did you just really catch it?"
Ink flipped the knife in the air and caught it with her palm. "One of the things that you would learn if you're going to practice. Almost every soldier could do it," smiled Ink.
Tianshi Xue was pretty sure that was not true. There was just no way.
"See?" said Ink. "Again," she commanded and thankfully already stepped away, unblocking the target.
Tianshi Xue rolled her shoulders. She was already getting exhausted with this. She could already sense the body pain that she was going to suffer from tomorrow.
She did a repeat performance of what she did earlier, moving her body with force and focusing on putting it all on her fingers. There was the satisfying chunk sound of the knife hitting the wood. "I DID IT!" she jumped excitedly.
