Chap 2: This body's husband

Hao Zongying realized that this person knew the original owner, therefore she relaxed a bit. She looked at the man that finally appeared from outside, in the house.

Hao Zongying was left speechless for a moment.

Unexpectedly, the original owner knew such a peerless handsome man!

His long, white hair was a bit dirty, but it didn't reduce his charm at all. The face was perfect, as if it was the master of carving that had made it himself. The nose was high and straight, the lips were thin and red, the eyes were seductive like a fox! Even a man wouldn't be picky, if someone presented him to spend the night!

However, this living male fox god was a bit familiar, for some reason…His eyes, she felt as if she had seen them somewhere. Perhaps her memory was also affected by that great fall.

Hao Zongying stared at the man for a while. She narrowed her eyes, trying to find whatever clue that could explain her odd feeling of familiarity, but she found none. This man was surely human, and although his natural aura was strong, it couldn't be as strong as someone she had already met before.

But this man, he had such a beautiful face on top of such a perfect body, it makes people wonder why he is not in whatever princess' harem. Now she really felt that she was quite blessed to be such a beautiful woman, if she was just a bit less beautiful, she would be inferior to this man!

Her pride as a woman would not allow it!

She observed the man. He seemed to have paused after seeing her, for a while. Just as she thought it was suspicious, his lips curved into a smile, his face displaying cunningness and amusement. What made this man so interested?

The man spoke up again upon seeing her furrowed brows. "Lan Lan, you're awake. I came to bring you food."

Why was this man calling her by such an odd name? She couldn't possibly be named Lan Lan, right? If so then her parents must mistreat their poor daughter, so pitiful ah!

Surname Lan and name Lan, she must be mocked until she dies!

"Who are you?" Her voice was a bit weak. Her mouth was very dry, she felt like she could drink an entire river by herself!

The man stared at her with a shocked expression then fell on his knees and grasped her hand. "Lanfen, do you not remember me?! I'm your husband, Xia Yanrin, and you're my wife, Xia Lanfen! Could it be that you have hit your head after tripping on this rock?!"

Hao Zongying was at first startled by the sudden feeling of warm hands around her cold ones. Then, her little vein appeared once again.

Damn! Those rocks again! "Don't say nonsense, my head is perfectly fine. I just felt a bit dizzy and I did not remember on the spot. Of course I know you, husband."

She rubbed her head with her free hand unconsciously, before seeing the sorrowful face of her so-called husband. She startled and, uneasy, avoided the pitiful stare of the handsome man that now looked like a sad dog. "W-What's wrong?"

"Lan Lan, why don't you call me like you used to? Honey." He said with a smile, and she was sure, that she had seen a flash of mischievousness in his eyes before his acting started once again. Hao Zongying was a leftover woman. An old lady that was older than the world, with a youthful and gorgeous appearance, and she had tons of admirers.

But, she was still a leftover woman, one that never even dated, never wore a red gown, never exchanged cups. She never, ever in her whole life called someone 'Honey'!

Especially not someone she didn't know at all! She looked proud, but inside she was still a shy, and who knows how old virgin!

She would, of course like anyone else like her be flustered and confused at this demand!

"H-Ho-Honey." Her face flushed furiously as she felt her cheeks heating up. Hao Zongying bit her lip in humiliation and shame, not hearing the amused sneer from the man still holding her hand. When she felt her hand become very warm, she reluctantly looked him in the eyes, a bit of blush left on her pale face. "Could you please let go of my hand?"

He smiled and let go, before standing up and going back outside. When he was back, he was dragging a huge wild boar, properly tied up and killed!

A big, fat boar while she was so hungry and had her stomach growling more than ten thousand beasts, could this husband be an angel? The heavens even gave her such a blessing. Surely, she would stick to him a bit more, at least until she can go back to Yun continent. Then she'd reward that man, for saving her second body from dying of hunger!

Seeing the sparkly eyes of his wife, Xia Yanrin smiled in satisfaction and let out a deep chuckle that was completely ignored by the woman on the bed. She then swallowed the bit of drool back proudly and looked at him, determined. "H-Ho-Honey, could you please cook me some of that boar? I am afraid I will die of hunger if I stay here with an empty stomach." She said while caressing her flat belly. He couldn't help but let out a laugh, and with a smile, he nodded. "Sure, darling. Wait here, I'll cook you an entire leg of that boar!"

"Thank you." She said while blushing a bit. It was the first time she relied on a man, so she was a bit uncomfortable of being spoiled that way.

And by that husband who did not belong to her…She prayed for the original owner in her mind, excusing herself.

For sure, one's loss is another one's blessing!!
