Ch 14 - Fang Yuan vs Fang Zheng Part III

The fight went on for another fifteen minutes. Almost all the other gu masters had either backed out or were starting to run dry on primeval essense. Haru offered them many incentives and benefits lots of times but even that wasn't helping now.

Suddenly, Haru made a mistake and was not able to dodge an attack from strength path phantom in time. He failed in forming a killer move and suffered an intense backlash. He suffered so much pain that even Iron Blood Gu and Self Control gu weren't able to help him. He let out lots of blood from his mouth.

"Elder Fang Zheng", someone shouted out.

Haru immediately activated Healing gu worm and recovered to a much better state but he wasn't mentally prepared to fight again yet. He had never faced such a life and death situation in either his previous life or current life and this created a huge trauma for him to immediately recover from.

Fang Yuan saw this and didn't let the chance pass. He moved forward with all his phantoms creating a path for him. He was about to put Fang zheng in his aperture when..

"Enslavement path killer move — Eight Sided Ambush!"

A weird music started playing and tens of thousands of flying cranes moved towards Fang Yuan, groups of invisible cranes that had hidden their figures exposed themselves, encircling the Fang Yuan tightly while one other picked the sorry figure of Fang Zheng and lifted it in the air.

One could see a person sitting on a flying crane wearing a green robe.

It was He Feng Yang, also known as "Winged Crane Flying Immortal".

"Fang Yuan, you have crossed the lines. You are an immortal and trying to attack the mortals. Do you have no sense of shame? Also, attacking an elder of Immortal Crane Sect, much less tour own brother. Have you shifted to the demonic path?"

*Gasp*

Gu masters started gasping when they knew about Fang Yuan's true status. If they knew they were fighting a Gu Immortal. Some people were sweating heavily.

"He Feng Yang, I am not afraid of you. Handover my little brother and I will consider this matter over. Otherwise, hmph.", Fang Yuan answered back.

"Junior, it seems you need to be taught some lesson."

Fang Yuan finally released all of the strength path phantoms he had stored. Even He Feng Yang was shocked seeing such strength. They both exchanged 2-3 rounds. While many strength path phantoms Fang Yuan were obliterated, many flying cranes also died in their hands.

If this continued, both parties would suffer heavy losses.

Fang Yuan sent a divine sense to He Feng Yang, "Hand him over. Otherwise, the whole guts gu transaction will be affected and only you will be blamed for that. I need to educate my little brother. This is beneficial for both of us."

Meanwhile, Haru was happy to watch the fight between the two. He had sent his will along with Lord Sky Crane earlier to be brought back to the supreme elder. He used his contribution points to ask immediate help from a Gu Immortal.

In the Immortal Crane Sect, contribution points was everything on the mortal level.

In the contribution sect Hall, mortals can even take help from the Gu Immortals if they pay enough contribution points. So during the competition, Fang Zheng sent Lord Sky Crane to ask for help from his master. Gu immortals would normally not act without enough benefits involved. However, the matter of Fang Yuan concerned the Hu Immortal Blessed Land and hence he came personally to take action.

Upon arriving, he saw Fang Zheng as well as other mortal gu master fighting Fang Yuan as equal. Since he Fang Yuan's Gu Immortal identity, he felt even more appreciation for a talent like Fang Zheng who was able to match it. At once, he felt that the decision to bring in Fang Zheng was the best one. He decided to wait and watch. It would be best if he was not required to interfere at all.

He was shocked at how well coordinated each and every strength phantoms were. They were easily suppressing the gu masters. When Fang Yuan got the chance and went in for the final attack, He Feng Yang knew it was his time to act. He instantly used his killer move and faced Fang Yuan.

However, he was only acting due to the contribution provided by Fang Zheng and as a member of the same sect, he couldn't just stand by and watch. He didn't want to use more primeval essense or resources than required. He also knew that Fang Yuan is not an easy bone to chew. He would get no benefits by fighting all out with Fang Yuan.

Haru saw the hesitation and immediately guessed what Fang Yuan was trying to do. However, how could he let him succeed.

"Supreme Elder, Fang Yuan has evil intentions. When I saw him here, I contacted you directly for assistance. This demon has used his blood path attainment to arrive at the stage he is on now. He took the blood of all my relatives to improve his attitude using the Blood Skull Gu. Since I am connected to him through blood, he probably wants to dispose off me as well as use me for his blood path experiments. Also, I am his final weakpoint who knows about his origins and everything. Please save me instead of contributing to such a hideous being!"

Saying so, Fang Zheng fell on his knees as he asked for mercy and help.

When blood path was mentioned along with Fang Year's past, all the gu masters saw Fang Yuan with hostility. Even the Gu immortals who were just watching from the sidelines couldn't stay still now. If what Fang Zheng said was correct, then they couldn't let Fang Yuan escape with his demands.

Blood path has a vile reputation making any cultivator of this path a heavily despised and suppressed character by righteous path forces and even demonic path cultivators are wary of such blood path cultivators. It was founded and later widely spread by Blood Sea Ancestor. Because of high enough notoriety, blood path cultivators are pursued and eradicated by Heavenly Court. They even specifically made Demon Judgement Board to track such cultivators.

Listening to Fang Zheng, He Feng Yang kept his hesitation aside. He knew the events personally since he had soul searched Fang Zheng when he was brought here and also heard a detailed account from Lord Sky Crane. Now, if the same was to be brought and if it was found out that he helped Fang Yuan for some petty benefits, he may have to face prosecution from Heavenly Court. Each member of the Ten Great Ancient Sect dreaded Heavenly Court and no one wished to go against it.

At once, He Feng Yang steeled his resolve to fight Fang Yuan. Seeing that He Feng Yang didn't back down, even other immortals came. They wanted to benefit from the situation as well as represent the righteous path.

Seeing the situation turning against him, Fang Yuan snorted, "Since that's the case, I am unable to help this little brother. It's his loss to miss out on such great opportunities. Also, since this is a private matter between Immortal Crane Sect and it's subsidiart, we'll deal with it in private. Your interference is not required. See you again soon, He Feng Yang."

Saying so, Fang Yuan activated the Fixed Immortal Travel and disappeared within there breaths

"Fixed Immortal Travel, sigh. That junior is really hard to catch."

"Fang Zheng, meet me in the sect and tell me what happened in details.

"Yes, supreme elder He Feng Yang"

He Feng Yang and his flying cranes disappeared at the next moment.

Disciple, you have great insight being able to identify Fang Yuan's intent and take immediate measures. With his immortal zombie status, it would have been impossible for you to last this long against him alone."

Haru nodded. He had really escaped from life and death situation. However, this was just the start of his troubles. Later on, he distributed some resources to the injured gu masters and after calming down the situation, he sat on his flying crane and headed towards Immortal Crane Sect.

While flying through the skies, he recollected the whole experience.

'I was able to overcome this great tribulation. But that was mainly due to luck and proper help. However, the most important thing is one own's strength. I am still too weak right now. I need to get powerful as soon as possible if I want a sliver of chance to survive and witness the great era.'

He clenched his fist. When he opened his fist, one could see a gu worrm crushed under it. It was the Iron Blood gu. Using this gu was a mistake! Haru was using it to avoid pain but he knew it prevented him from getting precious battle experience.

'Even if I have to walk through the path of blades and thorns, I will never flinch. I will face death head on and overcome it.'
