"Shouldn't you eat before we go?" Alice asked with concern.

"No. I almost never eat breakfast anyway. It doesn't agree with me." I responded before walking into the garage.

"You have a lot of cars. I don't even think the hoverbike is scheduled for release until next month." Alice said while looking around.

"We're taking the hoverbike, actually. It's the only vehicle I've designed that's for both air and street." I said proudly.

"You designed?" Alice asked.

"I help a lot at work. Put on your helmet and get on the back." I said while getting on the bike.

"Okay." she said while strapping on the helmet before jumping on and holding me tightly.

Cullen house

"Here we are. Welcome to my home." Alice said as she dismounted.

"It's nice." I said honestly. The messed-up part is we're neighbors.

"Now I can just walk to your house." Alice said with a glowing smile.

"Only if someone else is coming with you." I said.

With a little pout, Alice drug me into the house, playing that it was really hard.

"MOM? I'M HOME!" Alice yelled out.

"I'm in the kitchen!" I heard Edme yell back.

"Mom, this is Hadrian. Hadrian, this is my mom." Alice introduced us.

"Alice, would you give us a minute to talk alone, please?" I asked.

"Fiiiine." she said as she walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs.

After we heard her door close, Esme asked "So what was so important that you had to send her away for?"

"I'm sorry ma'am, but last night wasn't my idea at all. I fell..." I started to explain before she interrupted me.

"I know, I know. Edward explained everything to us last night. And your willingness to apologize just cements the fact that you're a good guy. I can not begin to tell you how many boys have tried to take advantage of her. To be honest, you have my blessing." she said.

(complain all you want, but this is exactly what I would do if put into a similar situation. AND I'm a bit old fashioned, so the knuckle kisses and courting part applies to me as well)

"Uh...thanks, I guess. But she's still too young for me. I am old enough to drink, but she's still in high school." I said.

"She is old enough to make her own decisions. And besides, you have her parents' permission, so don't worry about that. Just keep it PG like Carlisle said and you're fine." Esme assured me.

"Alright. How much trouble am I in for making her miss school?" I asked.

"None. She has perfect scores in all her classes and missing a few days won't hurt anything. Now, have you eaten?" she asked excitedly.

"No. I don't eat breakfast. It doesn't agree with me." I explained.

"Alright. Will you stay for lunch? I used go be a chef so I enjoy cooking for others." she said.

"...alright. I guess I can stay for lunch." I answered.

"Wonderful. Alice, we're done talking!" Esme yelled out.

After running back downstairs, Alice looked at us expectantly.

"Hadrian will be staying for lunch. It's your job to entertain him until that time." she explained.

"Okay! Do you want to go for a walk through the woods?" Alice asked me.

"Sure. I'm scarier than anything we're going to see in this forest." I said, mimicking Shrek.

"Haha. Don't worry, I'll protect you from anything." Alice tried to assure me.

"Pfft, hehe. I fought off two grizzlies when I was ten and stopped an entire van from crushing all of us just last week. Who's protecting who here?" I said with a smirk on my face as I walked out the back door first.

Hours later, before everyone else returned from school.

"Edward is bringing Bella by to meet the family. Will you stay to meet them too?" Alice asked me hopefully.

"I guess. I'm sure Carlisle wants to have a more in depth conversation with me anyway. He didn't look like he was done when we left the hospital anyway." I said.

"Great! I'll let Edward know to inform Bella so she's more relaxed." she said grabbing her phone.

"Thanks." I replied, making her smile.

An hour later, Alice and u walked into the kitchen to await Edward and Bella.

"Hadrian, good to see you. Feeling better after the accident?" Carlisle asked me.

"The only part of me that feels better is the part that isn't stuck on that hospital bed." I said honestly. This earned chuckles from everyone in the kitchen. Even Rosalie rolled her eyes with an invisible smirk on her face.

Hearing tires on gravel, I said "They're here."

"Yes, they are." Emmitt agreed.

Edward and Bella finally entered the kitchen after their little talk about coffins and dungeons and moats.

As soon as Edward said Bella had already eaten, Rosalie broke the glass bowl she was holding. Before anything could hit the ground, I used my powers to lift everything back up and repair the bowl before setting it back onto the counter.

Looking around, everyone noticed I was acting like nothing happened.

"What, ARE you?!" Rosalie asked.

"What are YOU?!" I countered. "Don't ask questions when you don't want any asked of yourself...and stop wasting good food."

"Fine. Are we just going to pretend this isn't dangerous for all of us?!" Rosalie started to rant.

"Rose..." Carlisle started to respond.

"I would never tell anyone, anything." Bella defended herself.

"She knows that." Esme said.

"Ya, the problem is, you two have gone public now, so." Emmit said.

"Emmet..." Carlisle started.

"No! She should know. The entire family will be implicated I'd this ends badly." Rosalie said.

"Badly as in...I'd become the meal" Bella said

Everyone in the kitchen started chuckling before Alice could make her entrance from the dining nook.

"Hi Bella. I'm Alice" Alice said as she hugged Bella

"Hi" Bella said as she returned the hug

"Oh. You do smell nice" Alice said

"Alice? What are you...?" Edward was lost for words

"It's okay. Bella and I are going to be great friends" Alice said. "And I'm with your cousin now! So we're like sisters!"

"Hi Bella, it's nice to meet you." I joking said as I shook her hand.

"Mr. Swan." Bella introduced herself, causing everyone to laugh.

"Alright. If everyone could prepare dinner, I'd like to have a talk with Hadrian, please." Carlisle said.

"Everyone spends more time with my boyfriend than I do." Alice muttered aloud.

"Hehe. I'll be back little pixie." I assured her.

After entering the office, Carlisle closed the sound proofed door.

"So, Hadrian. I have some questions for you." Carlisle started.

"Only if you are going to answer questions in return. Your family has a problem of thinking that their secrets are to remain secret, but everyone else's are open books for you." I replied, causing him to stiffen up.
