Chapter 4

We had boarded the Commonwealth and were headed to Harvest.

"Is this what you were talking about when you said an enemy much worse than the insurrectionists?" Jerome asked, "yes, it is" I gave a short answer.

"117 and 049, to the bridge" was played over the intercom.

John and I got to the bridge while Dr Halsey and the captain of the vessel were arguing, "even if it was a ship, which I highly doubt, it's long gone anyway" the captain said, "Captain, it was seen far away from Harvest then appeared next to it in a moment. It could be here at any time" the doctor snapped back.

"It's coming back" I spoke, "how do you know, 049?" I looked at the radar, looking for the ship, "no time to explain, it will be here soon. We need to get to that "MJOLNIR" project of yours" the Captain started arguing against my statement, when, "sir, he's right, it came back and it's closing fast" I looked between Dr Halsey and the Captain.

"I'll get my team ready, prepare the pelicans," I said while leaving the area and heading back to my squad.

*SWOOOOOSH*

The door opened and I looked at my team, "get ready and head to the hanger".

*BOOOOOM*

"Looks like they're attacking, let's go" I turned to leave and the rest followed me.

We got to the hanger and saw Blue team, Dr Halsey, and the rest of the SPARTAN-II's, "are we ready?" I asked, "no, they're sending a nuke at the ship," the doctor said to me. I shook my head, "the nuke won't do anything to the ship's energy shields" the doctor had a shocked look on her face, "how did you know they had energy shields?"

*KABOOOOOOOM*

The nuke had gone off, "Doctor, the ship is untouched" a man said over the intercom. While everyone had a shocked face, my team and I boarded a pelican.

After a while, we got planetside and into the facility housing the MJOLNIR armour, after an explanation from the doctor if what it's made of and why normal people can't wear it, she asked for a volunteer.

[New mission acquired!]

[Where's my super suit?

Dr Halsey is asking for a volunteer to try on the MJOLNIR armour. You know what they say? If you're not first, you're last

Rewards-1000exp, stronger than normal armour, ???

Failure-let someone else get armour first]

I wasn't planning on being the first to get armour, but now, I need to.

"Right here ma'am" I stepped forward, the doctor looked at me with a slight smile, "I thought you would say that".

After they got the armour on me, "alright, make small movements" the doctor said to me. I gave her a smirk, "sometimes, doctor, you got to throw all your chips in".

I leapt from the stand I was on. I flew in the air before landing behind everyone, " this feels good!" I said with a large grin on my face.

[Mission "Where's my super suit?" complete!]

I stared at the final award in amazement. In all of the Halo lore, the UNSC never made MJOLNIR armour suitable for non-augmented people. Even the SPARTAN-IV's were slightly augmented.

"Are you ok, Russ?" Jorge asked me with a slightly worried look on his face, "ok? I've never felt better!" I said to him while grinning at him, "you guys should get your armour on as well" everyone nodded at me and got suited up.

I walked over to the doctor, "before everyone gets their armour on. Is there any way for me to change the colours? Green isn't really my style" the doctor looked at me, "you're about to get board a ship full of aliens with superior technology and you're worried about how you look?" I looked at her with a straight face, "yes" the doctor just stared at me, "fine, what colour?" I grinned.

Blue team and my team walked over with their new armour, "wow, he was right. It feels great!" Douglas said, "what? did you doubt him?" Alice said while walking to a treadmill.

"Really Doug? You doubted me?" I said walking over to my team, "well well, looks better on you than green did" Jorge said while walking up to me.

I smiled at him, "yea, I've always liked black more" my new armour colour was primarily black with white accents, "ready to kill some aliens?"
