Just wanted to say I wrote this after watching the owl house and seeing there wasn't many fics out there that were that long so I decided to write my own for fun though I do take constructive criticism and I'll only be posting the first five chapters for now. Hope you enjoy it and if you don't then I'm sorry that it wasn't to your liking. (My rewrite is up and has a few chapter already published.) name: My unexpected life in the owl house

A deadly encounter

Time skip 6 1/2 years...

'Time has passed quite quickly with 6 and a half years since I came to this world and I noticed something strange after meeting Luz and that is... I could see glyphs on everything ranging from the ground I walk on, to the water I drink, even in the very air I breathe. I also seemed to have abnormal strength for my age but I'm not sure where it came from since I didn't really do anything to make that happen but it doesn't matter at this point since it'll be useful in the future if I run into a problem which I probably will with-.' I thought as my monologue is interrupted. As my inner monologue to myself was interrupted by someone tapping my shoulder causing me to be taken out of my thoughts by my mom in this world. "Chris your friend is here to play with you how about you go with her to the forest like you always do?" She says as I nod. 'Speaking of my problems.' I thought as I looked up at my mom.

"S-Sure mom, see you when I get back!" I say stuttering as I run out to see Luz. "Hey Chris!" Luz said in a very happy-go-lucky way.

"Ah... hey Luz how are you doing?" I greeted reluctantly. "Good! I've been looking forward to going to the creek behind my house with you all day!" She said making me feel bad for feeling nervous around her. "Yeah I have too! I mean it's been boring without you around!" I said putting on a smile to hide my previous reluctance as I started walking with Luz to the creek.

"Great! Then let's try to get there as soon as we can so we can spend more time playing!" She said. "Too cute." I mumble as I chuckled thinking about how such innocent kid could bring so many problems before I saw Luz turn away covering her face for some reason. 'Huh?' I thought curiously as I got closer to Luz. "Hey are you ok there Luzy?" I say light heartedly trying to lighten up the awkward atmosphere. "Ah I'm fine!" She says as her head snaps forwards before she takes off running.

"Race you there!" She said leaving me in the dust surprised before I called out to her or at least tried. "Hey wait up!" I say as I run after her wondering how she's so fast only to be broken out of my thoughts. "Ahhh!" hearing a scream from up ahead that sounded like Luz, I grabbed a bat I left on the path the last time I was here and ran as fast as I could to where Luz is, only to see what looked like a wolf growling at Luz. 'Why does Luz have to be such a magnet for trouble?' I thought before I ran at the wolf while it was distracted with Luz's screaming as I attempted to hit the side of it's head only for it to jump back, causing me to hit it's chest hurting it but not knocking it out like I wanted. 'Oh no...' I thought as the wolf turned to me.

"Luz run!" I yelled out as I run further from the path drawing the wolf away. When she finally she got up, she hesitated, noticing her hesitation I try to reassure her. "Luz I'll be fine!" I yell as I smiled at her before she ran to get help as I focused back on the wolf. "Luz you really owe me for this! Though I guess with her gone I can finally try this out." I say as I start to draw a decently made ice glyph with my foot as I focused back on the wolf waiting for it to charge at me and when I finished blinking I saw it jump towards me but before it could get me I stomped my foot on the glyph as a small chunk of ice shot out of the ground hitting the wolf, knocking it back as I started to feel tired. "I guess that confirms that." I say as I finally confirmed that I seemed to be able to do magic with glyphs after a long time of waiting to test it.

'But now I'm totally drained.' I thought to myself as I struggled to focus on the wolf as I saw the wolf or what I thought was a wolf get up before it grew in size, becoming larger and larger only to stop growing at a height of 6 feet towering over my measly 56 inches of height. "Oh no." I said as I tried to run towards Luz's house only for the 'wolf' to block me. "Looks like it won't let me escape." I say smiling bitterly before coming to the decision to run towards the creek.

"Shit! shit! shit!" I yell as I slide down the slope of the creek only to feel something cut a deep gash in my leg. "Ahhh!" I screamed in pain as I finally reached the bottom before staggering up to my feet as I ran towards the stream knowing I needed to pass through it to find a hiding spot but when I reached the creek's edge I heard the 'wolf' snarl at me as I turned around to see it jumping down towards me.

"Screw you, you mutt!" I cursed as I tried to swing my bat in a last ditch effort to hit it only to be knocked into the water as I felt it's tooth cut my cheek as l felt a horrible pain in my leg before a feeling of falling overtook me as I passed out.
