Aura

He took the most basic stance. His feet were shoulder-width apart with eyes focused straight on what was in front of him.

There was complete silence inside the ground to the point a pin drop could echo throughout the training ground. With that much silence, he could hear his heartbeat.

He tightened his core further and prepared himself.

He closed his eyes and began finding energy sources in him. Inside the pitch-black darkness, he found two blindingly blazing energies, the first one was blue-colored and the latter was yellow, which was dull in comparison but blazing nonetheless.

Both shone blazingly but their natures were contrasting. Blue was like water pure and calm, whereas the latter, instead of being calm and pure, was fierce and violent.

"Mana and Aura..."

Lloyd easily recognized both of the energies. It wasn't rocket science because he knew their nature from both the novel and the memories. It would be an issue if he wasn't able to identify and differentiate between both of those energies.

Aura had the same importance to a warrior as magic did to a mage. It was the founding stone of becoming a warrior. The aura makes one's body robust and powerful in every aspect.

"Let's pour it into my sword..."

As soon as he said that a path of nerves materialized leading to the sword. Now, the path was ready; all he had to do was to make it flow into that path.

To think it was going to be easier than you were mistaken, it was the hardest part of the whole process. Lloyd knew that well, so he prepared himself in advance.

Because the aura was a violent energy that was also mentally stressful, it required a body that was both mentally and physically strong. Even though it was overall weaker than magic, it had much harsher requirements than magic.

It was discovered by the beastmen king to compete against the influence of elven magic. As the beastmen couldn't use magic, so they created Aura that was weaker but more effective in close combat, which was the only weakness of magic and aura's only advantage.

He began to make it flow into a path that unknowingly materialized in his mind.

He was aware of the rough and violent behavior of Aura. He needed to be strenuous. He knew it would be arduous and a little painful, so he was prepared for it.

It was flowing slowly and roughly. The experience he was going through was much harsher than he thought.

"Has this ever trained aura..?" He groaned.

His face was crumbling in pain. It was indeed unbearable but was nothing compared to the pain he experienced on the night he arrived because of this he developed endurance to some extent. Still, it didn't mean he wasn't experiencing anything at all.

His grip unknowingly tightened along with his abdomen. His arms and legs trembled. Sweat fell to the ground. His veins that were carrying the Aura surfaced.

He shrieked in pain.

He felt his insides melting. He was experiencing stabbing pain and his veins kept on inflating, causing the pain to increase further and beyond.

*ARHHH*

He couldn't help but shriek and wail in pain.

He could stop there and he wouldn't have to go through the pain, but he knew if he stopped now then how would he be able to handle what was coming for him in the future?

The future was worse for him, far worse than the pain he was currently experiencing. That was the reason he was determined because his precious life was on the line.

'This is fleeting pain I can endure it.'

He tried to motivate himself as his body trembled in pain. The pain was already beyond what a normal human could endure. He would have already fallen if it was his original body.

The body of an ordinary human would never be able to hold this much aura inside them if they tried to, then their body with explode like a balloon painting the room bloody.

The aura was violent, always wanting to escape the user; if one did not have a sturdy build and control in mind to a certain extent, then death was inevitable at the very least.

He kept on flowing the aura into his veins, and though it was a very slow and painful process, he knew it would get better once he successfully got hold of it.

A yellow hue began to emerge and began coating his hands. The density of the hue kept increasing until it was golden.

*Huff*

It also slowly reached the sword and coated it from head to toe. At that very moment, the aura fully coated his sword. The pain vanished into nothingness.

All the unbearable amount of pain he went through was gone completely without a trace. The veins that we're inflating also leveled into the skin. The sensation of melting alive also vanished.

The aura flowed smoothly and violently. It was a success nonetheless. He succeeded in making it flow without giving in to the pain, even though it was unbearable.

*Haah*

A was panting badly while holding his sword firm, and still. He was out of energy just from doing this. His sweat had mopped the dusty floor. He, too, was drenched in sweat, smelling badly like a dead rat.

*Phuaff*

He opened his eyes.

"Was his Di got blocked because he didn't train!"

He said while breathing rapidly.

He was fatigued. He didn't have the strength to move his limbs anymore. But now the aura was flowing in him smoothly without making him experience stabbing pain like before.

He stood there holding his sword in his right hand. He decided to flow the aura all over his body to make sure there wasn't any more blocked Di.

Luckily, the aura flowed throughout his body smoothly like butter. He didn't have any painful experiences.

He was recovering his energy while standing still in the stance.

"Let's get serious..."

He said with confidence after he recovered almost half of his energy.
