A Date with Qingyue

It has been one month since I became an apprentice. Dr.Seto treats me well and I often help him maintaining his shop and making medical pills. He teaches me some of his knowledge regarding medicine which I always take great interest to listen to.

I soon became his favorite student. I, myself treat some patients with little illness. I slowly am becoming proficient in it.

These days my relationship with Qingyue has also improved a lot. I don't know when but I slowly started developing feelings for her. What about her? Does she feel the same? I need to get my answer from her someday.

In my free time, I along with my little aunt go to Xia Manor and play with Qingyue and Yuanba. Qingyue is really a good girl. Unlike in the novel, she's warm, caring and her smile mesmerizes me. My heart feels content just by being with her. Should I invite her one of these days to a date?

Thinking so, I invited Qingyue to tour the city. I felt relieved and my heartfelt at ease when she easily agreed.

So, today I got ready for my little date with Qingyue. I put on my good looking robes, got ready, and arranged myself neatly, asked my grandpa whether I look good or not a few hundred times, and then left for her home.

My Grandpa already knew about me and Qingyue. But did he question me regarding it but always supports me. Inviting to date is also one of his suggestions. I don't know what that old brain is planning. As I reached her home, I saw a little girl wearing attractive clothes waiting for someone at the entrance.

My heart skipped a beat just looking at her like that. As I passed by her, I greeted her

"Qingyue, good morning!"

She replied in a slightly angry tone "Brother Che, why are so late! I have been waiting for you here for a very long time."

I said slyly "It seems someone here got so excited and came here 2 hours before the arranged time."

Qingyue blushed a little and replied in a low voice, "Brother Che, what are you saying? I came here just now. It's just a coincidence you are here when I arrived. You came here a little too early. Not me!"

I just laughed seeing her cute blushing face. She doesn't know how to lie. While lying, she never looks in the eyes. I know this because these days, I got to know her very well. The guards seeing our interactions and their young palace mistress like this felt happy.

"Okay, okay... I came a little early. Happy? Now come on.. don't waste time, let's go! or it will be late if we continue like this."

I took her hand, looked into her eyes, and in an honest tone said "You look cute, Qingyue"

Qingyue's face this time turned crimson and said while stuttering "B-brother Che, W-what are you saying?"

I not diverting my gaze, say

"Qingyue, I said you look really 'cute' in your clothes!"

Steam started coming from her ears. I didn't wait a moment and continued to drag her along with me to start our first little date.

First, we went to see the shops selling their items and went to a nearby clothes shop. I wanted to see some matching dresses for Qingyue and one particular dress caught my attention. I pointed to a red and blue color dress and asked her

"Qingyue, Do you like it?"

Qingyue seeing the dress I was pointing looked at the clothes, her eyes shined brightly and said: "Brother Che, it looks good!"

I let her try it and she seemed very happy with me choosing it. I also made her try some more clothes. She looks very cute in each one of them.

I felt happy seeing Qingyue happy. The shop owner told us that we look like a little couple. Qingyue blushed furiously at that.

I ordered all the clothes and paid for them as I have an allowance given by my grandpa and want to spend it on my cute Qingyue. We continued to do some shopping together. We went to buy bracelets and other stuff. Feeling hungry, we took our seats in a nearby restaurant, enjoyed ordering food, spoke, ate, and once again continued strolling down the shops till evening.

Seeing that the sun is setting, and our little date is at its end held her hands, went back to the entrance of the Xia Manor where we started.

On reaching our final point, I released her hand and spoke "Qingyue, it's a great day today with you. I enjoyed your company a lot. Let's get on more date-*cough* I mean tours, okay?"

"Yes, Brother Che, I enjoyed it too. We will go for more da-*coughs* tours in the future"

When I thought all is over, saw her face looking downcast, asked "Qingyue, do you still think about your mother?"

Her moist eyes now turned to me and said downheartedly "Yes, Brother Che, I miss her. When I'm with you, I am really very happy but now that you are leaving back, I feel a little lonely."

I grinned at her "My little Qingyue telling me that she feels lonely without me. What do you mean?"

Qingyue realizing what she had just said blushed and pouted "-Mo- Brother Che! don't tease me..."

I felt her especially cute this time. So, I hug her tightly and said "Qingyue, don't worry. I will help you reunite with your mother one day. Just wait for it and trust me, okay?"

She hugged back and said "I trust you, Brother Che"

I pulled her out of my embrace and said seriously

"That's good, all we can now do is to get strong, Qingyue, you need to train seriously, and I promise, one day we will definitely meet your mother. Just don't get moody. I already told you that I can't see you sad like that. It really pains me to see you sad. I love Qingyue who always smiles. Just remember that I am here for you and will always be by your side no matter what. Never ever say again that you are lonely!"

Qingyue smiled tenderly and said "I know"

"Okay, then take care, it's time for me to go, and Good night!" I said and was about to turn then something unexpected happened. Qingyue rushed to me gave me a peck on my cheek and ran away blushing into her home not even looking back to see my expression. I was shocked and stood there dazed caressing the place where Qingyue just kissed.

After a very long time, I went back with a smile.
