Became an Apprentice

I woke up early in the morning and did a little work-out that I remember on Earth. Being nourished by the profound energy, my body started modifying itself again and again. It sped my muscle development. My muscles now became as tough as steel. I suppose I can start my body training quite early than assumed.

Yesterday, I tried my best to lessen Qingyue's trauma. I hope it does of pays off. This is what I did altering the destiny from the original story so I believe the future is different from that one. I already planned to take Qingyue with me to tour the city to make her familiar and improve my current relationship with her. I will let my little aunt join some time later. I completed my morning routine and took a bath.

OMG! always taking a bath after heavy training is really refreshing. I went out to the dining table for breakfast and saw my grandpa sitting in one of the chairs, eating his meal, and sat next to him.

I pulled my grandpa's sleeve and in an excited tone asked

"Grandpa, I am interested in learning medicine, can I join as Dr.Seto's apprentice?"

Dr.Seto is a famous doctor in Floating Cloud City. Generally, he is well-treated and is respected by almost all people in our city including my grandpa. Dr.Seto and Grandpa are old friends and are often very close to each other.

Grandpa stopped eating, looked at me, and said reluctantly "No!... Che'er, I won't allow it. You're too young to become someone's apprentice. You are already busy with me training you and hardly get any time to spare. You should enjoy your childhood better, Che'er. Once you lose it, you won't get it back. No... Do you say you want to learn medicine? You need to focus on one path and excel in it first and....."

I cut my grandpa in the middle and said

"But, grandpa, I really want to learn medicine. I promise I won't slack off. So, grandpa, please...." I now used my secret art "Puppy dog eyes".

Grandpa on seeing my cute face along with my secret art gave up quite easily and told

"Che'er, Making progress in medicine is really hard and it will take a lot of time and great efforts to come on top. If you really want to; then I won't stop you. But don't stress yourself like this. Okay?"

I say with determination, "I promise you, grandpa, I will not let you regret your decision, I will one day become a great doctor. I will take good care of my health" My grandpa is a little happy with my declaration and easily agreed to my request. I don't want my current life to go in vain just like my previous one.

In my previous life, I aspired to become a doctor but am unable to do so. Now, I got a second chance, and with my comprehension skill granted by the goddess, I will do whatever I can to fulfill my dream.

After that, I told my grandpa about what transpired yesterday and how I comforted Qingyue on her loss of her mother. Grandpa on hearing my narration appreciated me for having concern regarding friends and said that's to be expected from his grandchild. He looked deep in thought. I did not disturb him afterward. Later, he went out to complete all the procedures for me to become Dr.Seto's apprentice.

After completing our breakfast, I went to my courtyard and as usual, started to do my cultivation.

These days, my cultivation progress improved a lot. At first, I had difficulty with passing profound energy to complete meridian cycles through my dantian. But now, I could do it just by mere thought. I always speed it up when I'm alone and cultivate faster but stop the energy flow when in other's presence or going outside to not let anyone notice my current cultivation level.

My understanding of profound energy gets deepened day by day. I now can control and direct profound energy to my liking. I haven't shown it even to my grandpa because currently he is slowly recovering from the shock of my present progress and I also don't want him to get depressed of feel inferior to me or think that I'm a monster. I know it won't happen because I'm his grandson but it's better to keep it a secret than to regret something happening.

I now can control my profound energy skillfully that is either to become thinner or denser to my will, unlike any other. I think this too has something to do with the benefits the goddess talked about.

For the following days, I took my little aunt with me to the Xia Manor and played together with Qingyue and Yuanba. Qingyue and my cute little aunt are getting along with each other just fine.

In the evening, I go to the medical shop where Dr.Seto resides and just watch him treat several patients. I carefully watch prepare medicinal pills and at home, try to do the same by preparing my own medicinal pills using several herbs that my grandpa have acquired for me. So far, I have been making progress and am happy to learn new things every day, enjoying my life here in the world "Against the gods".
