Back at the amazon village, the elves and Titus' amazon wives were meeting in Leah's home. They interrogated Emily and Enna on Titus' relationship with the fairies for a while, and got all the information they could.
"Well then, I think it's safe to assume that our king is safe and that he will conquer the fairies in due time." said Sera "The next thing for us to decide is whether we should go after him."
"How do we know he will conquer the fairies?" asked Alex
"Were you not listening?" asked Sera. "Since the fairies believe him to be the first and only male fairy, Titus is already the king of fairies by default. And judging by what Emily and Enna have told us, the fairies are already obedient to him."
"Oh, okay." said Alex
"How long do you think Titus would stay there if we don't retrieve him?" asked Leah, looking at Emily and Enna
"Only a day or two, at most, I think, Titus mentioned that he would need a source of regular food in order to live with the fairies." said Enna
"How interesting." said Sera "Does he need regular food to survive or is it only a preference?"
"He didn't say."
"I fed him this morning." said Carla, with a satisfied smile and a slight blush.
Emily and Enna gave Carla a knowing look.
"Well then, even if we hurry, it will take more than a day to reach him." said Sera "I'm sure the fairies won't allow him to starve. So, we can expect him to leave the fairy village on his own, soon enough. The next question is where would he go next. Here or the elf village?"
"I'm sure he would come looking for his wives eventually, but he might want to go to the elf village first." said Emily
"I suppose we have no way of knowing, so we shall have to prepare for either eventuality." said Sera. "If you'll allow me, I will stay the night and return to the elf village in the morning."
"That's fine." said Leah
"Hey, I'm the chief now, this is my house and that's my decision." said Alex
Alex received some harsh glares from the others.
"It's clear you need this situation explained to you," said Leah. "Everything and everyone you see here belongs to Titus, including this house, including you. It is our duty to act in his interest, and putting you in charge of anything is not in Titus' interest."
Everyone nodded in agreement, and Alex looked utterly crestfallen.
"You are a very strong fighter, Alex." Leah continued. "That is the value you can offer to Titus. I'm sure he will be grateful if you can win your duels and keep the amazons under his command."
Hearing that, Alex perked right up.
"That's right." said Alex, resolutely. "I am the strongest amazon and I'll beat anyone who stands in Titus' way!"
"I'm glad we're all on the same page now," said Sera. "I suppose the next question to consider is 'how can we serve our king while he is away'."
"Don't you think Titus would want to live together with all of us?" asked Emily, after a pause.
This question came as something of a revelation to the group, and it ignited a lively conversation about where Titus and all his wives should live.
