I stood in the entrance to the fairies' main hall of their giant tree home crossing my arms. Lily and Iris stood beside me in similar poses.
"Mwahahaha, pitiful fairies!" I shouted after clearing my throat. "I have come to conquer you! I am the king of the sacred forest! Bow down to me or expect no mercy!"
A few of the fairies actually bowed. Most of the fairies looked to Rose, sitting on her throne, for direction. Rose smiled, knowingly.
"Fufufu, only a fool would think to challenge the fairies." Said Rose, rising from her throne. "We fairies command the strongest magic in the world. We have never been defeated."
"Your magic will be of no use to you this time, fairies." I said "I have canceled out all your magic with my super magic."
Some of the fairies gasped. Most looked surprised.
"Wait, time out." I said while making a 'T' with my hands. "Can I use your bath first?"
I still have mud on me from Leah and Alex, and I haven't bathed since the last time I was here.
"Oh yes, of course," said Rose. "Good idea."
The fairies stopped trying to hide their smiles since we're on a time out, and so did I. It was so cute when some of the fairies bowed and when they acted all shocked about their magic being canceled.
Obviously, I don't have super magic or the ability to cancel out other people's magic. I wanted to make magic off-limits so nobody gets hurt, especially not me. Magic could really complicate this game.
Earlier, while flying:
"This is gonna be so much fun." said Lily
"I can't wait to see everyone again." said Iris
"Yeah, it kinda makes me sad that we've been having so much fun without them." said Lily
"Don't you think it will be fun to conquer the fairies?" asked Iris
"Yeah, I'm sure we'll all have a great time." I said "Plus, I said I would come back soon."
I should have guessed that they thought of it as some kind of game. Good thing I kept my mouth shut. I bet I would have just made them sad if I tried to convince them I didn't want to conquer the fairies. Then, I know I would just be going along with it anyway.
Now that I'm getting used to flying like this, I'm really starting to like it. The brisk air rushing over my naked body is a uniquely pleasant sensation when it doesn't make you cold. Maybe this experience can also help me figure out how to fly.
Since I banged my head against a ceiling earlier, I'm starting to think that the tricky part of magic flight isn't the lift or the propulsion. I think the tricky part is the control. Maybe that's what fairy wings actually do.
So, I tried to better acquaint myself with the wind, so to speak, as we flew to try to get a better feel for flying. I also watched Lily and Iris' wings to try to figure out how they are controlling their flight.
