Kaori poured some mana and the orb turned... blue!

"I'm a... uhhh"

"You're a mage Kao, a mage" I reminded Kaori.

"Ohh yeah!" Kaori laughed

"Should I get back to explaining now?" I asked Kaori

"Yes please" said Kaori.

"Okay so. We found out about mana. Now how do we turn mana into magic? It's pretty simple. We just think about something. For example a fireball and if we point out index and middle finger out, it comes out! But then how does mana become like that? Our blood vessels have something special in them, called the magic maker. It turns the mana into whatever we think of. Of course, we have to imagine a picture ofwhat we think of. Forgot to mention that. That's all there is to mana and magic. Did you understand it now?"

"How come professor said the same thing but yours was easier to understand?" Kaori wondered.

"Because it's me" I leaned forward and winked.

I could already see her turning red.

"U-um Alex.. I kind of lack mana..." Kaori looked down

"How much do you have?" I asked Kaori

"Only 700.." Kaori sighed

"That's not going to help you during the practicals huh? I know a way to help you, but promise me to not tell ANYONE. okay?" I warned her

"O-okay. What i-is it?" Kaori said scaredly.

"Come here Kaori. Get as close and you can to me." I ordered Kaori.

Kaori is getting flushed again. Well I mean hearing what I said, it's understandable.

Kaori came so close to me that there were only a few millimetres between us.

"So, I'm not what you think I am. I'm a demon. I have a way to transfer mana to you. If you don't tell anyone, I will help you" I whispered in Kaori's ear in a devious tone

Kaori was trembling. "W-what do you mean?" Kaori whispered back.

"Exactly what I said. Don't worry though I am not here to hurt you or anybody" I whispered again.

"Wh-what do you want m-me to do?" Kaori whispered

"Pretend you're a vampire. Bite my neck and take some of my blood. That should give you about 1 million mana" I told her

She stopped trembling.

"WHAT?! HOW MUCH DO YOU EVEN HAAVE?" Kaori whispered loudly

"Let's just say more than 10 million" I smirked.

"I-if you say so.. I trust you"Kaori said while being in disbelief.

She bit my neck. It tingled a little bit but it didn't hurt. She took out her teeth and I started bleeding. She sucked a little more blood than needed and took 2 million mana. I still have 50 million left so it's fine.

Kaori pulled away.

"Are you okay? It didn't hurt right?" Kaori said worriedly

"Not at all" I smiled at her

She smiled back.

Kaori stared at my eye only to get lost in it. So did I. I was lost in her eyes. I leaned in for another kiss but Kaori interrupted because she wasn't able to take the hint.

"Mmm sorry. I think that gave me quite a lot of mana. Do you think I can take a break for now? I'm pretty tired after all that knowledge you just gave me" Kaori asked.

"Of course. I'll get back to my training for now" I said

The day went by with nothing special occuring after.

Each day, Kaori came over to get magic lessons and even asked me to help her in the other subjects. She aced through the class tests.

Eventually months passed and the final exam came. Hell wouldn't be enough to describe how hard the exam was. If I didn't study and practice, that is.

I easily aced through the exams one after another and so did Kaori and Amelia.

After each and every person was done, the results came back after a few days.

"Total of 1,280 people in 9th grade.

320 failed.

960 passed.

WHY SUCH TERRIBLE RESULTS? HAVEN'T WE HAD ENOGH TRAINING? HAVEN'T WE HAVE ENOUGH CLASSES?" Screamed our principal.

"Sir.." Our head coordinator glanced at our principal, Mr. Kyoko.

"Ahem, yes. Nonetheless you have all tried. HOWEVER! since so many of you did bad, ALL of you will go through a training camp. It will be of 2 years! Be prepared for hell. Now, our head coordinator, Mrs. Inoue will tell us the top four" Mr. Kyoko announced.

"Yes. The people I'm taking the names of, kindly come on stage.

Fourth place! Amelia Blake" Mrs.Inoue announced.

Everyone looked shocked. "How come she's fourth?" "Shouldnt she be in the top three?" Everyone gossiped.

Kaori and I both looked at Amelia.

"You're fourth? How come?" Kaori said confusedly

"Yeah I expected you to be in the top three!" I said.

"If you're fourth I probably did worse than sixth" Kaori looked down.

We all stayed silent. But to not let it stay awkward, I reminded Amelia to go to up.

"Well, I'll get going now." Amelia said.

She went on her way to the stage and everyone was staring at her.

Mrs. Inoue started talking once again. "Great. Now, 3rd position is.. Sakura Ito! Please come to the stage

Everyone was already shocked. The fact that a girl, completely unknown to most people, beat Amelia Blake, the sister of a so called 'genius'.

If she was able to beat Amelia, I should probably add her to my harem. She'll be useful to beating the 'hero' and the 'ultimate villan'.

"Kaori, want to go talk to her after the announcements?" I asked Kaori

Kaori gave me a thumbs up. "Sure"

After Sakura went on stage, Mrs. Inoue continued. "Second position is... Kaori Hayashi!

Everyone suddenly went drop dead silent. So did I. Kaori and I looked at eachother. We both smiled and everyone screamed.

They chanted "KAO-RI! KAO-RI! KAO-RI!"

"Good job Kaori! You did AMAZING!" I hugged her

Kaori's face lit up and she was also blushing.

She went up to stage and everyone was still chanting "KAO-RI! KAO-RI! KAO-RI!"

Everyone was happy for her.

"Okay, okay. Please quiet down and save your cheers for first position. Which is..." Mrs. Inoue created suspense.

"oooooOOOOO!" Everyone played along.

"ALEXANDER BLAKE!!!" Mrs. Inoue announced.

"YEAHHHHHHHHHH!!" Everyone screamed at the top of their lungs.

I was on my way to stage and everyone was chanting my name.

"ALEXANDER!.. ALEXANDER!.. ALEXANDER!" Everyone screamed.

After I went on stage, Mrs. Inoue continued. "Now everyone, please give them a huge round of applause for performing the best in this entire year!"

"YEAHHHH!!!" "WOOOOOOOOO!!!!"Everyone screamed while clapping.

"EVERYBODY, THIS IS THE TIME FOR YOU TO ENJOY THE GRAND PARTY!!!!" Mr. Kyoko screamed excitedly.

Everyone was allowed to drink since the people were only from ninth grade and we're already the age of 15.

Kaori Amelia and I came down from stage.

"You guys did incredible. Congratulations!" I hugged both of them at the same time.

They hugged me back. "You too" They said smiling.

"You guys enjoy. I'll be back in a little" I told them.

They nodded their head as a sign of approval.

I tried to find Sakura but I couldn't since there was a huge crowd. That was when I remembered about the pen and notebook! and stopping time too!

I stopped the time and levitated using my magic power.

"Aha! there she is!" I thought out loud.

She was quite easy to spot because she had quite the unusual hair colour too. It was baby blue.

I flew quite close to her but not really close and stopped flying.

I resumed time. I walked up to her and said "May I have a moment, Ms. Ito?"
