Chapter 5 (Dungeon Challenge II)
As Koji walked a few steps inside the room of the 1st boss in the dungeon, the gates of the room closed by themselves and lights were ignited guiding the way to the boss.
"This is more creepier than I thought. But he's still a B grade. It shouldn't be that much of a deal for me." He spoke to himself as he dug deeper in the dungeon.
The deeper he got inside the room, the air for denser and denser. Like there was a beast waiting for him at the end.
With the air, he also encountered C grade monsters acting as minions. He saw them after every ten steps he took.
"These small guys are annoying. Get over it already damnit. I have to save some stamina to kill that big guy." He said while slashing the monsters with the sword he got from one of them.
The strength of the minions were continuously increasing the deeper he went.
Some were using bows and some could use elemental magic. Orcs with shields and armour also started to arrive. And their numbers were rapidly increasing. It was as if Koji was against someone stronger than who he was expecting.
"Something's not right. If an A ranked adventurer would have gone in alone, theoretically he would have came back in one piece but this, it's not as it should be. That guy's aura is way too overpowered. Like those A ranks I fought."
Koji kept on rushing forwards as all the backdoors were closed.
It really was do or die. And because he never opened the gate to second floor, he had only 10 hours left.
He kept in killing every monster and finally reached the gate connecting to the boss room.
In front of it were three big monsters.
"Huh, they're different than others. What are they?"
[Analyzing the life.]
[Dialogue Box : Analyzing Complete]
]Dialogue Box : The following species is one of the highest in the orc world. They are refered as Orc generals. Physically strong and with the determination to win.]
"So I can use it this way too. Orc general huh, whatever I'll just slice through them." Koji said and ran towards one of the generals. He struck the orc with the sword. *Crack*
"No way… He's skin is all fine, but my sword, it broke. These guys are not going to be easy. I have to think of a strategy." He said as he took out another sword from his bag.
*On The Surface In Tokyo*
*BLAST*
"IT'S A DUNGEON OUT BREAK!"
"RUN!"
"SAVE YOURSELVES!"
"CALL THE SPECIAL FORCES!"
These were the voices roaring on the street where the dungeon broke.
Breaking of dungeon is when it's gates are somehow severed or broken and monsters find their way out. It's usually done by B grade monsters which are considered strong by people so an entire force is sent to stop them
*At Special Force Agency, also the place where Koji first came*
A man ,Hashimoto Yasuhiro ,also the secretary of the first General Muto Hisoka, rushes to the general's office and slams the door open.
"SIR THERE'S AN EMERGENCY." He states.
Muto Hisoka, who was having some fun time, gave a glare of bloodlust to Yasuhiro and said in a silent voice. "Shouldn't you knock first? And you must have a good reason for intruding my fun time."
"Yes sir, sorry for for intruding. It's a big issue. The area under your force has just gotten under the attack of B grade monsters. They're destroying everything." He respectfully stated.
The general looked at the secretary and sighed.
"You intruded me just for that? Send the rookies on the scene. They can atleast do that."
"But sir, they aren't trained yet. They can't fight that crisis."
Muto Hisoka jumped towards Yasuhiro and said with a filthy smile.
"Do you think I care wether they live or not?"
It left the secretary speechless and he couldn't respond.
"Now just go already before more of my land destroys."
"At once sir!"
As Yasuhiro walked out, while thinking of just one thing.
"How did they let someone like him become a general. He has no skills or anything. Everyone knows he bribed his way in. This system is all wrong. I just got ordered to send my subordinates on a suicidal mission. I hope the light of hope comes soon."
*In the Dungeon*
"*huff* I've tried every strike. Every position. Every part. This blade is just too dull. What is it..something that can react to the resistance of common gear. Something with a good force and power. Something sharp. Something with a good volume. Something controllable…OH I GOT IT."
*BAM*
The orc directed a hit on Koji.
"DON'T ATTACK ME WHILE I'M THINKING YOU UGLY BASTARD. So now, if I induce my water elemental magic in my sword, and make it shape sharp and efficient with great area slice, I can create the inevitable rival of that gear. I could've used fire but the pressure building would cost too much time. For now, this is enough."
Koji creatively created a water sword with immense power. The more power he put in it, the harder it hit.
"HERE I COME!!" he yelled as he ran towards the general.
The orc first threw a slice on Koji which he barely dodged and kicked the orc as he slid down and inserted his water elemental sword right inside his neck which was uncovered. Thus killing the first general.
"The sword has been taken care of, that leaves the mage and the bow. For the bow, sword is a perfect rival and for mage, the bow is good enough. So I'll kill you next." He said as he pointed at the orc with the bow.
He took the long sword of the orc he killed and induced it with fire.
"With this much sharpness, I bet it can take them down quickly."
He ran to the bow carrying orc, dodged it's arrows and kicked it up. After slicing it in half, he took the bow in mid air and shot it towards the mage orc.
He deflected the bow with elemental shield but it gave an opening to Koji.
"YOU'RE WIDE OPEN." He shouted as he sliced off the neck from behind.
Now all the obstacles between him and the boss were dead. Who left was now the boss alone.
"Looking at these orcs, they're definitely B grade orcs, I wonder if there's a beast waiting inside for me. I'll take advantage of the equipment of his subordinates and use it against him. Now then, what waits for me ahead." He said as he walked inside the room.
