10 Chapter 10: Hokage

Appearing in the Hokage building the receptionist looked fairly surprised but she was very professional and told us to wait while she contacts the Hokage, after a couple of minutes of waiting she came walking back, "The Hokage has time to meet with you, he said that you can head right to his office."

My father, mother and I headed right to the Hokage's office, this would be the first time I would ever meet the Hokage, this would be basically the same as if I met the most powerful person back in my reality and any normal person would be fairly terrified, after all, I was meeting arguably the strongest person in a village of trained killers, so logically I would give him the respect he deserved, after all, if he decided that he was going to kill me, no one could stop him, now that may be a bit drastic but

The second we entered the door a brown-haired old man was sitting on a chair smiling at us, most likely the smile he gave every single person that he saw.

"Ah Shikaku-san, Yoshino-san, I wasn't expecting a visit from you." the Hokage spoke to my mother and father ignoring my presence completely.

My father spoke out next, with a small bow, "Hokage-sama, we've come here to inform you of something our son Shikamaru has managed to do."

The Hokage raised his eyebrow and finally acknowledged my presence, "Hmm, well, I guess we shall ask him, but first let me introduce myself to him." He stood up from his seat and walked towards me with the natural grace of a stone-cold killer and leader.

He crouched down in front of me and smiled at me with the most grandfatherly smile he could probably manage, "It is nice to meet you, Shikamaru-Kun, I am Hiruzen Sarutobi the Third Hokage of Konoha."

I bowed and also introduced myself, "It is nice to meet you, Hokage-sama, I am Shikamaru Nara, the son of Shikaku and Yoshino Nara."

He looked very surprised, he probably expected either a far more lackluster and bored reply, typical for the Nara, or a very immature reply, although he quickly overcame his surprise and regained his grandfatherly smile.

"Now, your father tells me that you did something, could you tell me what it is that you did?"

Well, there was no turning back now, I couldn't lie to him as it would most likely complicate things further than they already are, "Well, I entered a summoning contract with the Raccoon Clan."

His eyes widened a lot more than before and he quickly stood up and looked at my father, "It seems that there are some political things that we need to take care of aren't there?

My father merely nodded, the Hokage motioned for us to sit down in the chairs that were in front of his desk, "Now, there are only two clans that are currently registered to owning summoning contracts, namely the Hatake and Uchiha clan, I'm afraid that this contract will cause quite some problems with the other clans, but that will be taken care of by me, now if the Nara clan had been hiding a summoning contract then there will be severe repercussions to the Nara clan." He finished with a hard stare at my father.

I chose this moment to speak up as it would prevent more problems from showing up, "Actually Hokage-sama, it was I who found the summoning contract, the clan wasn't aware that there was a contract located in the premises of our forest."

The Hokage turned to stare at me, his gaze picking apart any lie I may have told him, "Shikamaru-Kun could you explain in more detail?"

"Well, I was doing some survival training with my mother when I felt a strong connection to a cave, so I entered the cave and got summoned to the realm of the Raccoons, they told me that because I had a strong connection with them I would be able to enter through the portal thingy they had set up inside the cave, they told me that I would be their first summoner and that no one else could enter the cave, but that's all really."

The Hokage frowned most likely deciding whether to believe my story or not, there was only one half-truth that I said in the story, the rest was all mostly true.

"Well, your father and I will talk with the other clans, but rest assured you will get to keep your summoning contract as I find your story to be true, now Yoshino-san, could you please take Shikamaru-kun home, I still have a lot to talk about with your husband."

My mother merely nodded and to my demise Shushined us out of the room.

Bit of a late chapter, the next chap will be between the clans and please people, read the story before commenting something stupid, in my very short period of being a writer namely 1 week I have discovered that many people on this app are probably mentally disordered and most likely only skim through stories only to comment something stupid, which I have to say I also did in the past when I was still an immature brat, of course until now only a couple of people have done this and I am very grateful for people who leave constructive comments that actually help me improve and not only say that my story is garbage, and if you don't like it then don't read it, but thank you to anyone who reads this and an extra big thanks to the around three people that have left constructive comments until now,
