Meeting Someone (Rewritten)

(A/N) You can also read 'Red' as 'Aka', which is japanese for red. Red sounds better, so I will be using it. I always wondered why some fanfics would have a english name for the main character instead of a genuine japanese one. It always confused me. Enjoy the chapter!

Red opened her eyes. Ever since she turned ten, she had been having weird dreams. She usually tries to hear what's going on, and thus time it had been the clearest. she even could hear the words they were saying! She heard a few words, like her name, Dragon balls and something about saiyans . Plus, what was a 'Uchiha', anyways? She lived with her brother, Goku, and her grandpa, Gohan. She still hasn't told them about the dreams, so that she wouldn't worry them. Still, she always would wonder why she has dog ears and why Goku had a monkey tail, when her grampa didn't have either, but she never asked him that anyways.

Deep in thought, Red almost missed her grandpa's voice calling her.

"Red! Dinners ready! Come and eat before Goku takes your share!" Her grandpa shouted, panicking as Goku started taking his dinner.

Red loved her family. They were the reason why she was still alive. Her grandpa told her he found her on a flowerbed of buttercups, And when he saw her eyes for the first time, he was surprised how red they were. So, he named her red.

"Coming!" yelled Red. She ran over to find a amazing meal of rice, fish and vegetables steaming hot, with a amazing aroma wafting around the area. How the old man made it was surprising with how big the meal was. As they ate, Red could taste how much love was put into the food. The rice was fluffy and soft, the veggies bright and green, and the fish was firm but came apart easily with just a small tug from their chopsticks. One the last piece of radish they all started to fight for it.

Red POV

Grandpa's chopsticks moved like a blue. It was almost invisible, but Goku countered with his own, shooting it out so he would counter it, knocking away grandpa's. Seeing a rare chance, I shot my hand out like a lightning bolt.

Just as I was about to touch the fish Goku quickly turned his wrist and hit mine out of the way, managing to grab the radish for himself.

But before it even moved anywhere near his mouth, a pair of chopsticks flew and grabbed it away. Grandpa had gotten ahold of the radish.

Suddenly, a feeling of immense pressure overcame me. Rain started to fall. I could see the image of a dragon behind grandpa's back. Taking a quick glance a Goku, our eyes met. We both knew we had to team up if we had any chance of getting that radish.

Moving our chopsticks incredibly fast, we had the intent to wager our life for this radish. The battle was just starting.

Third POV

Red and Goku's chopsticks moved in unison, fighting for the chance to get the radish, but her grandpa dodged ever single time they got close.

Then, with a stroke of luck, Red managed to graze the radish. But a graze was all they needed, since the radish fell out of the grips of her grandpa's chopsticks.

It look like time was moving in slow motion for everyone. All of them wanted to eat the radish, and all of them went after it. Goku was the on to catch it though since he had the idea of using his tail to extend his reach.He popped it into his mouth, chewed, and swallowed. Red and her grandpa conceded, since it only a radish. These were the times Red lived for. These times with her family, even the occasionally arguments they had, she just enjoyed spending time with them.

Four years later...

"Goku! Wake up! It's time to go hunting!" Red shouted to wake the sleeping Goku. It had been three years since their grampa gohan died to the monster that comes out during the full moon. She had remembered a portion of her past life, but she couldn't remember anything other than the fact that she had been reborn in this world, called Dragon Ball Z, and that was enough.

She had accepted the fact that she had become a girl, contrary to what her previous life said. After all, she wouldn't let memories of such a long time ago, past that didn't affect this life, affect her. Plus, it was somewhat like watching a movie.

You wouldn't let a simple movie ruin your life, would you?

Seeing how she was reincarnated, she took it upon herself to take care of Goku, and even trained during the night to make up for the time lost. She still didn't know what race she was, but she now knows that Goku will be someone important in the future. She took a glance at the training hall, thinking about how she and Goku talk to is the four-star dragon ball. She had to admit though, before she retrieved her memories and even now, talking the what she could call the memento of the person that took care of her for eleven whole years was quite calming.

While walking home from fishing, what she remembered to be a 'car' from her past life came racing towards her. Quickly grabbing Goku and dodging to the side, the car crashed into the huge fish that they were carrying.

"Ow!' shouted a blue-haired girl that was stepping out of the car, "Hm? who are you two? And what are you two kids doing in the wilderness?"
