The Aftermath

Megumin! Hey! Megumin!

I woke up to loud noises. As I got up, I saw my parents with huge smiles right at my face.

"Megumin! You got a quirk! You sure are a late bloomer though." my mom said.

Oh yeah! I awakened my quirk. That's amazing! Oh, the glorious explosion magic. Wait, I'm starting to think like Megumin. But, I am Megumin. Holy shit I'm confused.

"I'm sure you're confused. I mean, they said you immediately passed out. Basically, you blew up the whole park," My dad said without a care in the world.

"Wha- how are you going to pay for the damages," I asked, truly concerned.

"A kid like you doesn't have to worry about that. Papa has a pretty wealthy lineage!" Father said in an excited tone.

All I could think was 'bruh'. Allegedly, we came from a rich family, but we are living in the smallest apartment imaginable.

"But, because of this, we need to move to Japan," My mother said.

"That makes no sense," I refuted.

"You see, the government is not exactly too happy with us at the moment, and we have family in Japan, so we will be protected from any further charges if we move there,"

Sounds a little farfetched, but whatever. Plot armor exists.

What worried me more was my mental crisis. It seemed like I had two personalities. One from my old world, that I kept most of the time. But, when I get super excited, I turn into a true explosion-crazed loli. That wasn't something I exactly liked.

"Um, will I be able to say bye to my friends," I asked with the sweetest tone I could muster up. I had to see what the others thought about my quirk. I'm sure they are in awe after seeing my beautiful explosion!

I became Megumin again. Shit.

My mother looked at me with the saddest eyes and hugged me, "Of course you can. This big of a change is not easy for a kid like you, I'd imagine,"

The next day

After waking up, I was brought to my preschool. I immediately saw Blake standing at the entrance, with his eyes being super watery.

"Megu, is it true that you're moving away?" He asked me, with a cracked voice.

"Yeah. Sorry dude," I said back.

He then came up to me and handed me a bracelet.

"This is a friendship bracelet. I also have one," He said showing me his arm. "Keep this on so you don't forget about me,"

Was this kid really 5? He was making me cry.

"You got it, bro," I said.

In the end, he never found out I was a girl. Well, whatever. When I mature and have melons, he'll find out.

Wait, Megumin is a flat chested loli. NOOOOO.

Those were my last goodbyes, as we left for the airport to go to the country of Japan.
