Chapter 007- Poison

(With Ling wan)

Few days later-

Ling wan finally managed to reach Divine phoenix empire without alerting anyone. Since he doesn't want anyone to know that he was here, he always used a cloak and a mask to hide his whole body and face.

Ling wan didn't waste any time in sightseeing. Instead, he directly went toward the main headquarter of black moon merchant guild to get what he wanted.

After testing his profound strength in profound crystal array at the entrance of the guild, he finally managed to go in. First, he walked around to see if there are any rare cultivation resources is being displayed.

Then, after checking his budget, he bought some of the cultivation resources that are difficult to get in Blue wind empire. But he didn't find the thing he actually came here for.

So, Ling wan turned towards the saleswoman that was accompanying him and asked, "I heard that you guys sell all kinds of things that exists in profound sky continent. But I didn't find any kind of poison is being displayed here."

The saleswoman smiled and said, "We do sell poison as well. But we only sell it to those who especially asks for it, that's why you didn't find any kinds of poison being displayed here. So, what kind of poison do you need, sir?"

"I need poison that is powerful enough to kill Emperor profound realm practitioner. Can I get it?" Ling wan asked.

"As long as you have money, you can get even stronger poison than this. Follow me, I will show you some of our poison collection that you might like to buy."

Ling wan sighed in relief and followed the saleswoman to a small room. After making him seat, she went to get some poison samples. While sitting alone in the room, Ling wan thought,

*Good thing that they didn't ask me to remove my mask that I had on my face. Otherwise, I would have had to go to the black market since I don't want to leave any evidence of me being here in Divine phoenix empire. And even if I find the kind of poison I am looking for in the black market, it would cost me a lot more.*

It didn't take too long for the saleswoman to come back with 5-6 kinds of poison. After looking at their descriptions, Ling wan finally chose one.

The poison that Ling wan chose has no color or odor. So, it is easier to use in a person without anyone noticing. Moreover, this poison doesn't start it's effect immediately.

Instead, it first gets itself mixed with the blood of the victim without doing any harm. But the moment the victim gets too emotional, poison starts to attacks the heart and slowly kills the victim over time.

Though the poison has several restrictions and takes time to kill the victim, it doesn't leave behind any evidence.

*This poison is perfect. As for making villa master Ling yuefeng emotionally unstable, I can think of that later,* Ling wan slightly smiled after finding the kind of poison he was looking for.

After finishing the payments, Ling wan didn't stay in the Divine phoenix empire any longer. He mounted his aerial profound beast after coming out of the city and started his return journey toward the Blue wind empire.

Ling yun has been trying to learn about formations in the past few days. But he was frustrated to find out that there are no real formation master in the whole heavenly sword villa. There are people who knows a thing or two but that's it.

So, Ling yun has to rely on books to learn. But what is more annoying is that all the books that he found are only basics. There is no book about advanced formations in the whole library of heavenly sword villa.

So, he has to ask his mom to get him some books about formations from the sacred ground 'Mighty heavenly sword region'.

Though Xuanyuan yufeng has some misunderstandings with her father, xuanyuan jue who is the 9th elder of Mighty heavenly sword region, she decided to sent him a letter regarding the books on formation for the sake of his son.

*The main reason I had some misunderstandings with my father is because of my marriage with Ling yuefeng. Now I wonder, why did I even marry such a bastard who just thinks about some other woman all day long!!*

Few days later, Ling yun got his hands on those books and started learning about advanced formations. As he was going to be spending more time on cultivation, he decided to make one of his subordinate learn about formation as well.

That way, he can concentrate on the research of new formations instead of spending time in making formations for others. Though his mother told him not to teach those to anyone else, he paid it no heed and decided to teach it secretly anyway.

*Now whom should I choose? Xia yuanba and xiao lingxi is out of the question since I don't think they have the talent to learn about formations. Ling wan also can't since he is going to be busy with all those politics.*

*Now only xia qingyue ane xiao che remains. Let's hear their opinions first. Then I will decide.*

But when Ling yun asked xia qingyue about it, her answer was, "Why should I waste my time on something that isn't going to make me stronger?"

*So, now only xiao che remains, huh! I wonder what he will say.*

Ling yun doesn't want to force anyone since it will only bring negative results. If a person isn't dedicated enough to learn something, he/she will reach a bottleneck sooner or later at that thing.

But he was relieved after hearing xiao che's answer.

(With xiao che)

Xiao che has been feeling really useless since coming here. Though after learning that his profound veins will be cured, he got some of his confidence back.

But as it was going to take a long time for him to be cured, he can't help but think of various negative things. And it gets worse when he sees his peers getting further and further away from him.

So, after Ling yun asked him if he wants to learn about formation or not, he readily agreed as he wants to prove to others mostly to Ling yun that he isn't useless and he also can contribute.

*I must learn everything about formations. Even though I might never be able to catch up to my peers in cultivation even after I get cured, I will at least not be ashamed in front of them if I can become a formation master.* Xiao che thought and swore to himself not to disappoint his grandfather and his new master, Ling yun.

Few days later-

In Ling yun's room-

Ling yun and Ling wan are both seated while discussing their next course of action.

"Young master, I managed to get a poison which will let us kill Ling yuefeng without leaving any evidence behind. But we need to think of a way to make him emotionally unstable in order to make the poison work," Ling wan said while describing the specifics of the poison to Ling yun.

"I have a plan on how to make him emotional. Can you tell me how much time is needed for the poison to take it's effect?" Ling yun asked.

"As long as we can keep him emotional for an hour or so, the poison should be able to kill him immediately. Even if he managed to fully calm down, it will just slow down the process. We just need to make him emotional once after giving the poison and it will be over for him."

After hearing this, Ling yun asked, "I will leave the work of poisoning him to you. How long it might take?"

"I will make sure to poison him by tonight. Though what should we do to make him emotionally unstable?"

"Leave that to me. I have a perfect plan for it," Ling yun answered.

"Tomorrow is going to be a decisive day for us. So, don't mess up no matter what! Did you prepare a speech of what you are going to say to the masses after my father's death?" Ling yun added.

"No, I didn't," Ling wan replied

"Then prepare it right away. You must not let anyone take advantage of the situation. Also, make the speech as emotional as possible to not let anyone suspect you. You should always remember that a speech that is presented well can make good people look bad and bad people look good. I hope you will not let me down, Ling wan." Ling yun said the last sentence with a little more deeper voice than the previous ones.

"I will try my best, young master."

"Go now. I need to prepare for tomorrow as well."
