Reincarnated As Jasper Whitlock

In the shadows of vampire existence, where eternity and bloodlust intertwine in an eternal dance, two souls crossed paths in an unexpected twist of fate. Jasper Whitlock, a brave soldier turned vampire during the American Civil War, and Marcus, a twilight fan fiction fan. To also declare that I do not own any copyright on the Twilight book series and I am only writing a fanfiction about this book series, all credit and recognition belongs to its corresponding writer Stephenie Meyer.

Chapter 5 Finding Out Your Skills

"Before delving into the discovery of their abilities as vampires, they searched the barn for a suitable room to test their abilities. Finally, they found a small room that seemed to have been used as a warehouse in times past. The place had an abandoned appearance. and dusty, but it would serve its purpose.

His first test was to measure his strength. They lifted heavy beams and stacked boxes on top of each other to determine their boundaries. It turned out that they were incredibly strong; They could lift any nearby object with astonishing ease. In an oversight, Marcus broke a wooden beam that was about six meters long and weighed approximately 16 kilograms. His ability to do so suggested that they were at least a hundred times stronger than a human being at their peak, or at least that was what his instincts told them.

After testing his strength, they explored his speed. Given the limited space, they could not measure it precisely, but they estimated that they could run at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour, becoming almost invisible due to the speed at which they moved. Then, they tested their senses. As Marcus ran at high speed, he realized that, despite moving so fast that the human eye could not follow him, he was able to maintain a clear vision of everything around him, without missing any details. Additionally, they had outstanding night vision, allowing them to see clearly even in the dark of night. They could also distinguish objects and details that the human eye could not, such as an ant on a beam more than 20 meters away or a deer more than a kilometer away. Although their ability to smell was impressive, they found that they were not particularly attracted to animal blood, which they found disconcerting. However, they could detect odors from miles away and, if they concentrated, could accurately describe what they smelled.

His hearing was acute and sometimes disconcerting. Sounds came to them from multiple places, like a car radio miles away or a cricket chirping miles away. This was overwhelming at first, but they managed to adapt thanks to Jasper's military discipline. They noticed that their bloodlust intensified when they lost control of their senses.

As for the sense of touch, they could feel the breeze and the flow of air on their skin, as well as the heat radiated from objects. The sense of taste was an area they left aside, since without hunting or drinking blood, they could not tell the difference from that of a human being.

Something that puzzled them was a kind of sixth sense that they had not experienced before. It warned them of imminent dangers or threats as if giving them a warning signal. Suddenly, they realized their talent: empathy, the ability to feel other people's emotions. Upon sensing how a wave of emotions charged with lust and bloodlust was approaching them,  they realized that their time had run out, and Maria was on her way."
