6 Chapter 6

"Tor Chik Tor Tor!"

Torchic running a hopping around, a middle-aged man wearing a red jacket and navy track pants.

"Hey, Brendan it's been a while since I've seen you, ever since you became an assistant for Professor Birch you've been busy!"

"Yeah I've learned a lot about Pokemon, my goal of becoming the best trainer in this region isn't merely a dream anymore. I'm here for my first gym battle against you, you better be ready tomorrow!"

Brendan says in a confident tone. He's already planned his battle with his father, but executing the plan is two separate things. He can never plan for everything so Brendan always has a backup plan incase of things going south, if things go right his dads team will go bye, bye, and get swept.

"I'll look forward to the challenge tomorrow then! But for now let me prepare some food you must be hungry after taking care of you Pokemon all day."

Brendan and Norman proceeded to end the day off with eating Tinola made by Norman and some fried rice in the fridge after heating it up.

* * * The next day * * *

*Yawn* 'Dam it's already after noon. I guess it's time for me to train up my team just a little bit more to warm them up before the gym battle. Dad should already be at the gym'

Brendon proceeds to go to his daily necessities and goes to the kitchen to eat some left over food from last night and feed some more Pokeblocks to his Pokemon.

Brendan making his way to the gym, spots a certain green-haired boy entering just before he does.

'Wally? Wally became a really strong trainer in the games making it to the end of Victory road before being defeated by the Main character."

Brendan entering the gym, finds Wally having a chat with his dad.

"Brendan come ever here, I would request that you help Wally over here catch his first pokemon as his starter."

Norman says while handing Wally a Pokeball.

"Sure dad, I'll sign up for the gym battle right now though. Meet with me outside Wally."

"O-ok I'll be there in a sec"

Wally, nervously holding the Pokeball, follows Brendan into route 102 to find his starter. While walking they both stumble upon a Ralts. Brendan proceeds to check the Ralts talent.(Man, I loved Wally in the games for some reason, no homo, one of my favourite characters besides Steven Stone).

Pokemon: Ralts♂ (Light Blue)

'Hot dam no wonder Wally was able to catch up to the main characters in the games, he had a Light Blue talent Ralts!'

Brendan says, inwardly surprised by the Ralts' talent.

"Go Zigzagoon use tackle."

Wally says in a nervous voice sounding very close to crying for some reason. Zigzagoon goes for a tackle, but the Rats use Teleport and use a confusion and gets a direct hit on the poor Zigzagoon. Zigzagoon gets up and waits for its next instructions.

"Zigzagoon use leer then full speed tackle!."

Wally says, keeping calm even with his situation. Zigzagoon used leer and proceeded to run in for a fast tackle; the Ralts tried to dodge but was too slow and was hit, leaving it a bit stunned.

"Zigzagoon go for one more tackle, don't let it counter attack!"

Zigzagoon goes for another tackle. It's a little bit slower due to being hit and using a full speed tackle, but was able to barely land a weak tackle that finished the job. Wally threw an ultra at the Ralts and successfully capturing his first Pokemon!
