7 Chapter 7
After all that is happening with Wally, they decide to head back after Wally starts to bond with his little Ralts. A few minutes later they head back into the gym.
"Dad Wally was able to catch his first Pokemon! It was a Ralts."
Brendan says in a hint of jealousy remembering Wally's Light Blue talent Ralts.
"Thanks Brendan for helping Wally get his starter Pokemon today, but your weren't here for helping kids get their first Pokemon. Follow me to the arena where our battle will be."
Norman says after walking in a certain direction and Brendan proceeds to follow after him taking confident strides. After getting in their places on each side of the gym, the battle will start
The rules of a gym battle will be made by yours truly; the challenger can choose from either 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 and 6v6. The minimum is 3v3 because in a gym battle it's about showing your potential and battle prowess than winning, but winning guarantees the badge. For this ff, the gym leader can't switch out their Pokemon, but the Challenger can once.

"This match the challenger Brendan from Littleroot Town has challenged Norman the Normal type gym leader to an official match, each person must have three Pokemon and only the challenger can switch out once. BEGIN!" The referee shouts to make his point clear (The battle field is just a flat Gymnasium lol).
Norman proceeds to call out his Skitty first so Brendan can make a choice (Gym leaders will be sending their Pokemon out first in every gym battle no matter what).
Pokemon: Skitty (Light Orange Talent)
'A skitty huh, well I guess well start with Poochyena then.'
Brendan carefully rolls a Pokeball down his hands to call out a Poochyena.
"Skitty use Fake out."
Skitty running straight at Poochyena.
"Poochyena jump up an use sand attack!"
Poochyena dodging skitty's fake out lands a sand attack blinding it a little bit making it panic. Brendan knew skitty only could just attacks relating to physical damage, so he planned to use sand attacks first.
"Poocheyna use quick bite and keep close to it."
Poochyena getting a counter on poor Skitty couldn't do anything, as it was panicking a little with losing vision for a few seconds (I mean, I would sh*t myself if I suddenly couldn't see).
"Skitty use growl then tackle."
Norman says in a calm tone. Skitty proceeds to land a hit on Poochyenas side. The growl decreasing Poochyenas attack by a stage.
"Poochyenathis full powered tackle."
Poochyena was able to land a hit on Skitty, but because of the growl wasn't as effective, as Skitty proceeded to recover.
"Skitty use jumping tackle"
Skitty taking a little leap to get to Poochyena, but because of the sand attack earlier Skitty just grazed Poochyena missing. Norman is a gym leader, but with a Skitty there are limited things you can do with it.
"Poochyena finish it with a full power bite!"
Brendan taking full advantage of the sand attack makes Poochyena go in for a full powered bite, gets a direct win and the skitty faints.
"Well done Brendan for your first ever gym battle you're doing pretty well for yourself but this is only the start, go Taillow." (If anything Big man Norman will try harder against his son in this battle than any other first badge trainer lmao).
What you guys think about the first fight never tried making a chapter like this yet. Also any Pokemon you want to see on his team comment in this message has to be a GEN 3 POKEMON, personal favourite pokemon of mine is Aggron :)
(I deleted some ones comment about their Hoenn team on accident mb xd).
