Chapter 24

"Thanks so much for the ride Steven!" Brendan says in an excited voice.

"No problem rookie, make sure to get stronger and make your way up to the elite 4 at least." Steven says in an amusing voice. 'Brendans potential as a trainer is very high, he's definitely can become a champion-level trainer, especially with now having all three royal starters of Hoenn and that egg, it should be hatching quite soon.'

"Don't worry in one to two years tops I'll be at Ever Grande facing off against you." Brendan says in a determined voice.

"I wouldn't have it any other way!" Steven says, while he starts to depart on his Skarmory on the way back to Rustboro.

Brendan is now making his way to the Mauville gym or tries to he get a little lost. In this big area with heaps of shops everywhere, it's pretty difficult to locate a single area. But one place in particular interests Brendan. The bicycle shop, he wants to buy a bicycle for an easier way of getting through routes.

Brendan entering the shop suddenly gets surrounded by confetti. "Congrats customer your the 100,000th person to enter this shop! Because of that you will be getting a free bicycle!" The man exclaims in a loud shout.

Brendan getting out of his stupor, shows a surprised face to the man. Brendan didn't expect to get a free bike, but one thing he does know is that he isn't going to waste this chance on a free bike. After a few seconds, the man introduces Bredan to a few Bikes and his personal choices on what to get.

After a while Brendan settles on a bicycle that's both a combination of the acro bicycle and mach bicycle. Brendan picking up the bike, starts to walk up to the counter.

"Her sir I want to choose this bike please!"

"Very smart choice young man, Thanks for stopping by see you sometimes else if you need to repair the bicycle!" The man says

Brendan nodding puts the bicycle in his space storage. Brendan now already, is making his way to the gym slowly but surely.

He's asking people around for directions and he seems to be getting closer to his destination. After a while he finds himself in front of the Mauville gym. Just before he could enter he hears a voice.

"B-Brendan wait up!" A shy and nervous voice says behind Brendan. Brendan turning around spots a kid similar age to him with a Kirlia next to him and an old man. "I challenge you to a battle!"

Pokemon: Kirlia (Deep Blue)

'Damn how did Wally's Kirlia get a Skip from Light blue to Deep blue, how unfair is this.' Brendan says, groaning internally, regretting not just taking the Ralts for himself.

Brendan surprised raises his eye brows at this challenge. Should he accept? Should he decline? He doesn't really know what to do. After a few seconds, Brendan tells the nervous Wally to head over to the battle field as there's one trainers can use close to the Gym. Both Wally and Brendan are now in position, as both trainers pick out their Pokeballs.

"Wally this will be a one versus one battle!" Brendan shouts. Brendan seeing Wally suddenly regaining his confidence when picking up his Pokeball shouts. "Begin!"

"Kirlia!"

"Mightyena!"

"Kirlia use Disarming voice."

Brendan hearing hopes for the best. "Mightyena tank the hit and go for a crunch!"

Mightyena hearing this goes for a crunch. On the way to Kirlia Mightyena tanks, a disarming voice but still on his two feet, goes up to the Kirlia and gets a direct crunch on the elbow.

"Kirliaa." Wally's Kirlia now distressed starts to shout in pain from the crunch.

"Use psychic Kirlia." Wally says, not thinking the battle would end up like this. Brendan already knowing that that move has no effect on Mightyena, goes for the finishing move.

"Mighyena use crunch again finish it off!" Brendan says. Mightyena hearing this goes for another crunch, running up to Kiria feels a tickle, but brushes it off and gets another direct super effective crunch making the Kirlia faint.

Wally, seeing his Kirlia hurriedly walks up to Kirlia and picks him up. "You didn't do too bad Wally but you could still improve a lot." Brendan says to the disgruntled Wally.

Wally, quickly nodding starts to run to the Pokecentre with the old man from before scolding him. "Wally my boy that was the Rookie Tournament winner why would you try to challenge him?" The old man was confused.

Both Wally and the old man slowly become a blur in the distance. Brendan remembers the real reason he's here for. Brendan deciding to only use Kirlia, Grovyle, and Combusken because the rest of his Pokemon aren't in shape to battle (Mightyena just versed a Kirlia).

Brendan now without any distractions, enters the gym.

Hey folks got some awkward news here today. I'm going over seas as some of you know, and I had some pre-made chapters ready.

But my mum suddenly extended it to 4 weeks. I have pre-made chapters just not enough for four weeks.

So in a few days when I leave I'm going to make this FF go on Hiatus Im pretty sure it means a pause before I upload chapters again. Just so you guys know, I'm not dropping this ff.
