Reincarnated as an Extra

In life, countless things might happen to someone at some point in their lives. Some people may call it fate, destiny, opportunity, or a turning point but for me, it wasn’t one of those. Fate? Nah, everything about my life was already trash to begin so to hell with fate right? Destiny? Who’s name was that? If destiny was real then how come nothing changed? Opportunity? What the hell was that? If there was an opportunity presented in front of me then I’ve grabbed it a long time ago. Turning point? To hell with turning points, everything about me had always been in twists and turns like I’m always riding a roller coaster of life. So, what’s the point of these things for me?

Chapter 7

"Haaa… just thinking about what happened earlier made me think that maybe… just maybe, the system was made to make me suffer even more", I mumbled under my breath.

Just a week ago, I was just an ordinary F-rank awakener but all of a sudden my whole life changed in an instant. I gained a system, I remembered my past life and I even attained a strength that enables me to grow the more I trained and hunted.

But a lingering thought still haunts me now…

'Was this a blessing or a curse?'

I, myself, don't even know the real reason and purpose as to why was I chosen but if this is truly a blessing given to me, then I suppose it's not a bad thing.

But, if this was a curse… then, I might not know how I'll end up in the future.

The system itself had too many advantages compared to its disadvantage but even so, I need to raise my guard against it. Yes, that's right…

"I'll let the system use me and at the same time, I'll use the system to my advantage.", I said as a steeled my heart with this resolve.

I wanted to enter Pentagon, I wanted to help save many people but I never thought of becoming a hero that would be revered by many.

What I wanted was to create a place that was safe enough for people to live normally… that was my goal ever since the beginning – my sole goal and purpose as to why I want strength.

'I've had enough seeing a lot of bloodshed due to the demons' antics, I've already had enough…', I repeated in my mind.

After sorting out my thoughts, I gathered myself up and went to take a notebook and a pen.

I began to write all the upcoming events in the novel that would require my intervention. When I say 'intervention', it means that those events will have a lot of human sacrifices that's why I needed to intervene since I was the only one, capable enough to know of their plans ahead of time.

Therefore, I needed to prepare in advance and to prepare I need to make a plan and sort out all the events.

Other than that, I also needed to grow stronger than my current state. Growing my strength was necessary if I wanted to achieve my goal.

"Yes! I should work hard even more now", burning with a passion, my hatred towards the system seemed to have lessened a little bit already since I'm currently seeing the system in a new light.

Accepting the fact that I needed the system for achieving my goals made me feel that I've started a new chapter of my life. In this new chapter, I am now more confident that no matter what I may face in the future, I'll be sure to handle them well.

Or... so what I thought of…

...............…

On the other side of the world, in the demon continent.

"What?! Someone from that clan survived?", asked one of the count-ranked demons while gritting his teeth in anger.

"Yes", replied coolly by another demon. He had a stone-cold face even though his insides were burning with unbearable anger upon hearing that information from a high-ranked demon.

"Haa… I thought we already purged those abominable bastards but why was there someone from that clan who survive the purging?!", at first, the demon did not believe the information they got but he didn't rule out the possibility that maybe some of them survive the hunt ten years ago.

'The Purge'

It was the event that both humans and demons could not ever forget because that was the incident that ruined the clan that stood against the demons ever since the very beginning and almost halved the demon king's army since the people from that clan had the ability that could counter ducal-ranked demons.

But one day, that clan produce an heir with immeasurable talent that could counter even the demon king himself. The demons at that time were too relaxed and they didn't even consider that person as a threat even though that clan was their long-time enemy.

Then years passed, and that child grew up and become the best among the people in the clan. He began to kill the demons at the tender age of fifteen. At first, he hunted lower-class demons but just after a few years, he began hunting count ranks until he managed to kill one of the pillars of the demons, Archduke Lintel Von Vampiere.

The demons began to feel the threat that the boy brought. 'Asura', the demon killer that was like a demon himself, was the nickname they gave to the boy.

Then, fear and anxiety crept towards the demons making them shake every time they hear the name of that boy.

His name became the symbol of fear to most lower-class demons. Then, the pillars of the demon continent, the four remaining archdukes, and the demon king decided to purge the entirety of that clan.

"Now, they're saying that one of them survives?! Hahahahaha… should we be happy or not?", the demon said with a depressing tone.

Just remembering that night made him mad with anger and helpless at the same time. That night was a total massacre that made the demons feel emotional upon seeing their entire army piled up as mountains of corpses by a single man.

"According to the information from Duke Freego, there was a kid around the age of fifteen who mastered the spear arts at a fast pace…"

"But, Count Arno… learning at that pace couldn't mean that he was part of that clan", there is no way that could happen, maybe that child was just born a genius.

"Hmmm… you do have a point there Count Piast but that child had red eyes, blood-red eyes… and you know that was a unique trait to them.", Count Arno rebutted.

Count Piast's eyes grew wider and wider, "What?!", then does that mean he was really from that clan?

"Haaa… then, what should we do?", Count Piast asked while massaging his temples to lessen the stress he currently feels.

"Don't worry… Duke Freego had already reported this to his eminence."
