Reincarnated as an Extra

In life, countless things might happen to someone at some point in their lives. Some people may call it fate, destiny, opportunity, or a turning point but for me, it wasn’t one of those. Fate? Nah, everything about my life was already trash to begin so to hell with fate right? Destiny? Who’s name was that? If destiny was real then how come nothing changed? Opportunity? What the hell was that? If there was an opportunity presented in front of me then I’ve grabbed it a long time ago. Turning point? To hell with turning points, everything about me had always been in twists and turns like I’m always riding a roller coaster of life. So, what’s the point of these things for me?

Chapter 6

In reality, these events aren't happening yet since there is still a week left before the main novel began.

The novel starts after the MC was admitted to Pentagon.

Pentagon was the name of the academy where elite heroes were trained. It has the topnotch technologies on the continent making it the best place to hone and develop the awakened people's potential but not all awakeners were able to study in Pentagon. Since some of them went to become mercenaries in order to gain more combat experience.

"Haa… all the events that were about to unfold were chaotic and many lives will be gone since I made it that way. Was this the reason I got two latent abilities?"

As I remembered the contents of the novel, I also began to question the purpose of the system.

Was it created because I was the creator of this world?

Was there any connection between the system and my reincarnation?

What was the reason why I remembered my past life?

But, the most intriguing question inside my head was, "Who am I?"

I was asking who am I. Ever since I first woke up in this body, I was already a five-year-old child with no memories of the past five years I've spent in this world.

The only thing with me that made people identify me was the shirt that I wore. Under its hem, the name Krayonne Reid was embroidered.

"It's no use asking myself that question. Ah… before I forgot…", I opened my drawer and there I saw a letter.

Inside the letter was the admission certificate of the Pentagon. This means that I was one of the elite talents that were chosen to be admitted to the Pentagon, but only I knew the bitter truth behind this.

Someone from the mercenary team took the exam and passed but the identity he used was mine. So, technically, it was supposed to be him that should be admitted but it somehow ended up with me. Why? The reason was simple. He died.

When he asked me if I could lend him my name for 50,000 Krones, I immediately agreed since 50,000 Krones was already enough for me to last a month. Then the examination date came and he miraculously passed but just a week before the confirmation letter arrived, our team went to the field to hunt monsters.

When we were hunting, a pact of D-ranked dire wolves came and surrounded our group. There was only one D-rank in our group, two E-ranks and the rest five people were F-rank and I was one with an F-rank status.

With low ranks against a pact of D-rank monsters, the outcome was glaringly obvious. All the members of the party were panic-stricken and I, as the porter, immediately contacted the association for help.

The association arrived a little too late. Upon arriving, they witnessed the dead bodies of the mercenary group. They thought that no one survived the bloody battle but all of a sudden, the bodies moved and there they saw a young boy hidden beneath the dead bodies of his comrades.

After rescuing the boy, they immediately send him to the nearest hospital to take care of his injuries. Though the injuries weren't fatal still, the boy needed immediate attention for he was an F-rank.

The boy stayed in the hospital for a week and the letter from Pentagon arrived. In the letter, it states that the boy passed the exam and was admitted to Pentagon. It also sent him a uniform, a dorm key, and a smartwatch that enables him to store anything the user wants to store. This smartwatch was only available to the students, graduates, and professors of Pentagon.

In an instant, the boy felt a huge pressure burdening his shoulders. He couldn't believe that in the end, he would be able to attend the most prestigious academy on the continent in the guise of luck. Having this rare and unprecedented opportunity, the boy decided to study at the Pentagon.

He was currently thinking of ways on how to increase his abilities while the academy was still not open but no matter how much he thought about it, he could not find any better way to help him increase his abilities other than going inside a dungeon.

But with his current state, going inside a dungeon would be nigh impossible.

Just like that, a week passed and he was discharged from the hospital; and the name of the boy who miraculously survived death was "Krayonne Reid".

Yep! That's me alright!! That's the bitter truth behind my admission and the only people that knew about this were all dead, therefore, no one would believe me even if I say that I sold my name for 50,000 Krones.

And since it already happened, I need to take responsibility for this mess even though I didn't create this in the first place. And just as when I thought that I was abandoned and as if God heard my pleas, the system came to help me… but in reality… the system came to fuck me up even more and drove all the crazy shits inside of me.
