chapter 35: meeting captain charlotte and making a new friend part 2/4

As I flew in the carriage with charlotte,arata began to recall the relationship of yami and the woman in front of him.

'Maybe I should give her a push.'

"Hey charlotte?"

"Hmm?what is it arata?" charlotte asked arata and as he looked her in the eyes he just said it,"are you in love with yami?"

Charlotte's eyes widened at the declaration arata made and coughed,"w-wh-wha-what makes you say that?!!!",'how does he knooow!!!'

Seeing charlotte be flustered only confirmed his suspicions,"charlotte…would you be happy if I helped you and yami become a couple?"

Charlotte taken aback by his offer,sharpened her gaze at the teen,"was I really that obvious? But why would you be helping me?"

"…because I already got an engagement with my master,merleona vermillion,and I thought it would be nice to have you be happy as well,maybe make it a double date,but that's if you are honest with me."

Hearing this charlotte felt conflicted,'should I Admit I like yami..?! No!! I'd be betraying The rest of my squad!!!'

While the blue rose captain was fighting her honesty over her pride,Arata spoke up and what was said caught her attention.

"I understand you have pride,but I'm wishing to help you get the attention of my captain,so please…let me help you."

Hearing the boy in front of her wanting to help her,she relaxed a bit and after a bit of hesitation she looked at Arata.

"Yes I do like yami,but I always feel shy around him,and yet I don't know why." As she started to explain her curse Arata was using summoning magic to send a message to Merleona,to help charlotte with her love problem.

As he finished and sent it to the capital charlotte finished her story and with a sigh glances at Arata.

"Well thank you for opening up and saying your story,my teacher also had a problem with love until she met me,and as we spent time together we became closer than even old time friends. So seeing you be honest with yourself…you've made progress,and maybe your curse…it will erase itself for good."

As he finished his reply he gave a gentle smile to the blushing blue rose captain,but before she could thank him the carriage started to descend.

"We're almost there,so please keep quiet about our talk."

Arata who nodded at her request saw the base of the woman in front of him,the base looked like a castle from a Disney movie,it was so uncanny he couldn't let it go.

The castle with a combination of granite and some crystal gave the building an ethereal feel to it,with a front gate with blue roses covering it leading to a front garden that would make poison ivy jealous.

(A/N : fun fact,poison Ivy is my top 3 of the Batman rogues)

As the gate opened up Arata was met with the rest of the squad.

Wanting to make a good impression on the knights in front of Arata he gestured charlotte to remain seated as he opened the carriage door and walked down the stairs,and when he got to the bottom stair he turned around and held out his hand to the captain who with a bit of hesitation gently grasped it and walked down the stairs.

"Alright everyone,are you all ready?" Charlotte asked all the members who nodded their heads except for one tanned girl who looked at Arata wishing he'd explode,'why is that man so close to big sis?!'

Arata who saw all the member looking at him turned around and gave a small bow.

"Good evening to you all,I am Arata of the black bulls and owner of the lakeside cabin,and as the owner I will be your host,any questions? Yes miss-miss?"

"Sol,and why should we have you! An ugly man, stay with us during this training week?!!"

Arata who was taken aback by this rude person who was taller than him by about 19 cm,knowing little about sol's past he looked at her and gave his reply.

"Well miss sol, I'm already engaged to someone,and because I am engaged to her I wish to be a gentleman. So don't assume I'm going to be a pervert and treat you like objects."

Sol hearing his reason hesitated,but due to her stubbornness and unwillingness to let Arata host she came up with another question.

"So you say that but what about chores like laundry and such? Will you try to take our clothes for your sick desire!" She asks pointing at him,'I win,now I can have sis all to myself!'

"…I won't ask why you are being so rude towards me with such biases,but I assure you I won't do anything of the sort, I will wash clothes if asked but I won't stoop so low as to take them,so stop trying to justify your feminist manifesto and just let me do what I was asked to do by the wizards king."

Sol hearing this was so shocked she could find words to refute the man she wants gone,and as she is trying to speak charlotte tells everyone to place their items in the carriage and tells sol he is supposed to come.

As Arata saw her face tearing up he walked up to her and as sol looked at him he spoke,"I apologize if I went too far with what I said,but I am doing this as a job for the good of the squads,so please…just try to get along with me,and if it bothers you so much,you can lend a hand with the chores,I won't judge,I'll let you help out ."

Hearing this the tan squad member nodded her head and went inside the carriage while Arata sat in front of the reins with puli next to him,"I'll give you directions,hope we get along." And he gave a smile at puli who nodded.

And soon they took off with the sun setting behind them.

Hey guys sorry about not posting for a week I was trying to figure out if I should have charlotte be part of Arata' lover group,and after a week of debate I decided to let yami have her,but I decided to have sol instead,and you the viewers get to decide how they get together from these four options!

1) a late night talk over a glass of wine and she comes to fall for Arata as he explains his life until now(I.e triggering the big sister nerve in her being)

2) they both share a bath due to a stuck bathroom door and she explains her hate for men.(daddy went to get milk)

3)she works herself too hard and Arata gives her his room and takes care of her.

4) as she observes Arata she rethinks her views on him and becomes a close friend.
