Chapter 118 - The Adventures Of Merlin And Zwei (2)

Merlin was running through the campus of Beacon with Zwei running behind her.

Zwei: "Bark BarkBark Bark Bark. (We are supposed to be waiting for Ruby and the others to get back. We need to stay at the place that the frizzy-haired human left us.)"

Merlin: "Meow Meow Meow. (I don't care. I'm stretching my legs. Go back and wait there being a good boy or something.)"

Zwei: "Bark Bark. (I can't leave you to whatever you do. You only cause problems wherever you go.)"

Merlin stopped running and turned around looking at Zwei. She saw a rock on the side of where she was standing and swiped her paw hitting the rock sending it towards Zwei. Zwei rolled into a ball letting the rock bounce off of him.

Merlin turned and ran for a bit of distance before Zwei uncurled himself when she noticed someone standing there and stopped in front of a blond woman that had a crop in her hand and a stack of papers. She looked down seeing the black cat wondering where this animal came from. She looked and also noticed Zwei standing there with his tongue out.

Glynda was out walking to bring some papers to Dr. Kitsune so she could sign off on some students that were recovering from a mission. Glynda lifted her crop and used her semblance and started walking towards the infirmary.

Dr. Kitsune woke up looking around with some drool on the side of her mouth. Seeing that 6 hours had passed since she had fallen asleep she had fully woke up remembering what she was supposed to do. Dr. Oobleck had asked her to watch the cat and the adorable Corgi. It was already the next day and towards the mid-point of the day.

She looked around looking for them and saw that they were there. She noticed that the window was opened and paw prints in the dust on the windowsill. She started panicking thinking that she had failed in doing the one thing that Dr. Oobleck asked her to do.

Dr. Kitsune: "I need to find them!!! What will Dr. Oobleck think if I can't even watch after small animals? How will I convince him to go out with me if I can't even do this."

Dr. Kitsune grabbed her coat she had laid across her chair and ran out of the room getting ready to search the building for the two. She darted out checking other rooms. After checking all of the rooms she couldn't find them and thought that they didn't head back into the building and went out the back entrance to search outside for them.

Glynda was walking through the front door to the building leading to the infirmary section and walked to the room where Dr. Kitsune would always be as she didn't teach any classes. Since they had two people working as the Drs. for the students they had Dr. Kitsune stay in the infirmary in case of injury during class or emergencies.

Dr. Oobleck would take care of the classes and would be in the infirmary whenever he wasn't teaching since he had his workspace here. Dr. Oobleck enjoyed staying in this room also due to the coffee machine that is in the room.

Glynda didn't see Dr. Oobleck or Dr. Kitsune inside and seeing that she was wondering what they were doing. She called Ozpin trying to see where they were at when she was told that Dr. Oobleck was busy giving technical support to three of the teams that went out on a mission he sent them to.

The last known place for Dr. Kitsune was in her office 30 minutes ago. Glynda hung up and called Dr. Kitsune scroll and heard a ringing sound from the disk by the computer.

Glynda: "Should I just leave the papers here? I should give them to her personally since I need to get these signed today and seeing that her scroll was still here maybe she stepped out for a few minutes and I just missed her.

Zwei: "Bark Bark. (See where you got us.)"

Merlin: "Meow. (Shutup furball.)"

Glynda turned to see the two animals making sounds at each other and walked back out of the room to look for Dr. Kitsune. Glynda walked for a while before she came across Dr. Ozpin out walking.

Glynda: "Professor Ozpin! Is there a reason that you've left your office?"

Ozpin looked towards Glynda and noticed that the teacher for the survival class was there. She didn't talk with him much but knew that he wasn't much of a talker, to begin with.

Glynda: "Hello Mr. Howlett."

Mr. Howlett: "Hmmn."

Mr. Howlett just nodded his head while letting out a grunt. He was a stocky man who specialized in tracking and finding information. His semblance allowed him to heal his wounds using his aura within moments which makes him very durable. They came across him fighting against a Grimm outside the city of Vale with a weapon made in a set of 3 claws.

Professor Ozpin: "I was out for my coffee break and since you hadn't returned I left to get my coffee myself."

Professor Ozpin looked at the two animals floating behind Glynda.

Professor Ozpin: "I see that you are looking after the animals of Team RWBYS."

Glynda looks at the animals not knowing who they belonged to.

Glynda: "I didn't know that they were the pets of Team RWBYS."

Merlin felt insulted by that.\

Merlin: "Meoooow Meow Meow Meeeoww (I'm no pet. The humans are there to serve my every need."

Zwei: "Bark Bark Bark. (You only say that when Shallot isn't around. I don't know how he understands you either.)"

Merlin: "Meow Meow Meow. (That's different. I don't understand how Ruby and Summer understand anything you say furball.)"

Zwei: "Bark. (Prat)

Merlin uses her semblance and red strings started coming from around her and latch onto the ground pulling herself to the ground and runs.

Glynda notices that she felt a tug from her semblance and turned to see that the cat had run from her and the dog was still there.

Zwei: "Bark. (Heyyyy)"

Zwei was barking and yelling at Merlin who left him and was running. Glynda put Zwei down and he sat there feeling that he didn't want to get picked up again. They heard someone yelling towards them and noticed that Dr. Kitsune was running towards them.

Glynda: "Dr. Kitsune, I was looking for you so you could sign off on some students."

Dr. Kitsune: "Hello Professor Goodwitch. Have you seen a small black cat that was along with the Corgi?"

Professor Ozpin points his cane in a direction and Dr. Kitsune could see a small black figure running into the building where the communications center is but they lose sight of Merlin.

Dr. Kitsune crouched down in front of Zwei.

Dr. Kitsune: "Can you find your mischievous friend?"

Zwei barked.

Zwei started running in the direction with Dr. Kitsune following behind her. They ran through the building with Zwei stopping now and then sniffing the air then running in a certain direction.

Zwei and Dr. Kitsune had finally seen Merlin running toward an opened door. Dr. Kitsune saw Professor Ozpin inside and he stood up turning around seeing them.

Everyone could hear Merlin Meow and then Zwei barked shortly after.
