Chapter 11 - A Meet Up

Shallot could tell what way the ruins were now because he could feel trembling from that direction and decided to leave the crater in this forest for another time. He wanted to meet up with Blake and jog her memory by using his personal nickname he had for her before he was chased out of the white fang.

Shallot continued walking for a couple of minutes thinking about when he was smaller and trying to teach Blake about ki and how to use it. It took her a couple of months but it was worth it since he mainly wanted to teach her ki so he could sense for it from her so that he could locate her whenever she is nearby and when he becomes stronger he could do it from anywhere in the entire world.

Shallot: 'Oh ... I can sense her nearby time for me to play my role.'

Shallot jumped from the ground and held onto a tree branch while using his ki to slightly float so the branch doesn't break from his weight he then launched towards Blake's ki.

Blake was standing around talking to Yang after meeting up with her in the forest and she started hearing screaming from up above her.

Ruby: "Heads up!!!!!"

While Blake was watching Ruby come falling from the sky she watched as Jaune crashed into Ruby midair sending her and him into a tree.

Blake: "Did your sister just fall from the sky."

Blake was still looking upwards as she could see something coming in quickly towards there direction and after a slight second, a large wind blast came into there face, and in front of her stood a tall male with long spikey hair going down his back with a sleeping mask on.

Shallot landed and tried his best to not make a large impact but couldn't do anything about the wind pressure. Shallot then lifted his face mask and smiled while looking at Blake's face.

Shallot: "Hey Mittens, long time no kiss."

Shallot could see the gears in Blake's head-turning and when she heard the last part her face turned bright red remembering right before he was chased out of the white fang.

Blake: "But ... why..."

Blake couldn't complete her sentence when a large crashing sound from nearby was heard. Trees were being broken apart and the sound of Grimm could be heard. An Ursa came from the woods on its hind legs swinging its arms and then a purple lightning blast came from behind it and hit the Ursa.

???: Yeehaw.

An orange-haired girl came rolling over the back of the now-dead Ursa.

???: Aww. It's broken now.

Shallot: 'Ahh ... that reminds me of my first Ursa ride. Good times ... good times.'

The orange-haired girl got on top of the dead Grimm and made an eww sound looking at it when Shallot could see Ren coming out of the forest.

Ren: "Nora ... please ... don't ever do that again."

Shallot: 'Ah ... Queen of the Castle in the flesh. She was one of the characters that I really enjoyed. She always brightened the mood next to Ruby.

Nora shot off towards the center and grabbed the Rook piece while singing that she was "Queen of the Castle".

Ren: "Nora!!!"

Nora: "Coming Ren."

Blake: "Did that girl just ride in on an Ursa?"

Shallot: "I feel ignored mittens. That's what caught your attention and not seeing me coming all this way just to see you ... I feel betrayed."

Shallot was saying while motioning his right hand to his chest in a dramatic way.

Yang just looked at me and Blake feeling astonished at all that's going on.

Yang: "I ... wait you guys know each other ... but ..."

Before she could say anything else. The sound of more trees being knocked over could be heard and a loud growling sound of a Grimm. The sound resembled a loud screeching noise.

Shallot: 'Oh there's Pyrrha and I never realized how much happened in these couple of seconds. She can handle this she's the third-best after all.'

Pyrrha was running with a giant scorpion-like Grimm chasing closely behind her. As she was dodging the attacks of the Grimm and heading towards them Shallot turned towards everyone else and asked.

Shallot: "Do you want me to kill that thing or do you all want to fight it. I have a habit of playing with my food ... well not really but that's what some people say."

Shallot then looked at Blake while saying the last part while squinting his eyes at her. Blake looked at Shallot while shaking her head and Shallot just shrugged his shoulders.

Pyrrha called towards Jaune and they had a little interaction while Ruby finally left the branch and jumped towards the ground next to us and called her sister.

Yang: "Ruby!"

She looked excited to see her.

Ruby: "Yang"

Ruby was the same

Nora: Nora!!!

Just because its Nora.

Shallot: "She has to be tired of running from that death stalker by now. I think she ran all the way here."

Yang's semblance went off and her hair flared up.

Yang: "Ggrrrrr"

Shallot: 'I wonder ... if I have kids with Yang will they be able to go super Saiyan more easily.'

Yang: "I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for like two seconds before something crazy happens again?

Ren was panting and jogged over to the group.

Shallot: "Oh, hey Ren. How's it going.

Ren was breathing heavily while supporting himself by placing his hands on his knees while bending forward.

Ren: "Tired"

Ruby: "Um ... Yang."

Ruby was pointing up at the sky.

Shallot looked up putting his hand against his forehead to block out the sun while looking up.

Shallot: "So that's where the snowflake went."

Weiss: "HOW CAN YOU LEAVE ME!!!"

Ruby: "I said jump."

Shallot looked towards Ruby.

Shallot: "You're the cause of this Ruby? Nice."

Shallot gave a thumbs up in this comical moment.

Blake just shook her head back and forth while telling everyone else.

Blake: "She going to fall."

Ruby: "She'll be fine"

Shallot: "We can see that mittens and Ruby that's some confidence you have in her."

Yang turned towards Shallot.

Yang: "Why do you keep calling her mittens?

Shallot perked up getting ready to tell his tale.

Shallot: "Well ... sit down and let me tell you about me and Blake's childhood."

Ren: "She's falling."

Shallot looked up to see Weiss falling towards the ground.

Shallot: "Well I guess stories can wait for later. Someone should catch her."

Nora: "Ah man ... I was expecting a good storytime."

Jaune jumped towards Weiss to catch her and the result ... well, it wasn't graceful what so ever. Jaune only managed to make himself a cushion to break her fall.

Shallot: "Well at least he was a decent cushion but I'm pretty sure I heard some bones popping, they may be broken at worst."

While that was going on Pyhrra plopped on the ground right in front of everyone standing there.

Shallot: "Ok ... that wasn't graceful either ... now, this is hard, between Pyhrra and Jaune I'm not sure who failed more at being graceful."

Blake just facepalmed and shook her head while looking at Shallot and his antics remembering her times with him in the White Fang.

Yang: Great! Now the gang is all here and we can die together!

Shallot: "Yang shouldn't you bring a little sun to the situation right now instead of being Yin."

Yang looked at Shallot with an astonished face.

Yang: Was that a pun?

Ruby: "Not if I could help it."

Shallot turned to Ruby.

Shallot: "The Deathstalker or the pun?"

Ruby: "Yes."

Ruby ran off towards the deathstalker attempting to attack it and her scythe bounced off of the carapace of the Grimm.

Ruby: "D... Do ...Don't ... worry! Totally fine!

Shallot: "She's totally not fine."

Ruby turned her scythe into compact rifle mode and shot at it and started running.

The nevermore could be heard screeching coming closers flying above Ruby as Yang ran off towards Ruby.

Shallot: 'I could end both of these guys but they will need to learn how to work as a team in order to overcome what's to come. I may not have watched season 3 but I still know that this place falls. I don't plan on letting that happen if I have the chance but they will still need all the experience they can get ... I'm still killed that Deathstalker though so I can test out my move on the Nevermore though.'

Shallot turned towards Blake.

Shallot: "Mittens, do you still remember everything I taught you about enhanced attack combinations."

Blake thought about it for a second then nodded her head remembering their team-ups.

Shallot: "Good. You're going to work with Yang, Ruby, and Weiss to take down the Nevermore and I'll help Ren and the others with the Deathstalker to provide backup.

Shallot bent his knees and took off in the direction of Ruby while the Nevermore started firing it feathers at her. Shallot overtook Yang and blew past her picking up Ruby and carrying her in a princess carry while kicking forward sending ki blade from his leg upwards at the Nevermore knocking the feathers away.

Shallot looked down at Ruby.

Shallot: "You know if every time we're like this people are going to think we're dating. Although I wouldn't mind having a cute girl like you as a girlfriend."

Ruby looked up at him and started blushing and then starting hitting his chest telling him to put her down and while he was trying to flirt with her the Deathstalker caught up to them and stabbed at them with its tail.

Before it could make it halfway a white blurry figure shot past and froze the tail.

Shallot: "Nice going snowflake."

Weiss: "Can you two stop flirting. Ruby, you're so childish and dimwitted, and hyperactive and don't even get me started on your fighting style. And I suppose I can be a bit ...

Shallot: "Cold."

Weiss: No ... difficult. But if we're going to do this we're going to have to do this together. So if you quit trying to show-off. I'll be ... nicer.

Shallot: "The snowflake is ... melting."

Weiss stared at Shallot as he keeps making jokes at this moment.

Ruby got down from Shallot's arms and looked at Weiss.

Ruby: I'm not trying to show-off. I want you to know that I can do this.

Weiss: Your fine but Shallot could solve this issue himself.

Shallot: "Who ... me?

Shallot pointed at himself then looked away and started whistling.

Weiss squinted at Shallot.

Weiss: You have enough strength to knock away its feathers without even using your weapon and outspeed both me and Yang getting here, so I know that you have enough strength to deal with this deathstalker. The question is why aren't you dealing with this deathstalker."

Weiss started walking back towards everyone else and Shallot and Ruby followed.

Shallot: Well, mainly because the purpose of the test is to get the Relics and make it back to the cliff, but there is another reason for this test."

Weiss: Oh ... and what's that."

Shallot looked towards the cliff with Ozpin and Glynda before smirking before looking at Weiss with a serious face.

Shallot: "It's to watch and determine who has qualities as leaders. Not only that but how do people react under pressure and to unknown situations like these. There may be missions that you have to take on in the future with people you don't know.

They are judging based on if you can work with people who you have had little contact with and still perform the job in a satisfactory manner. If I was to wipe out both of these Grimm, Ozpin would just see that the group could only rely on those that are strong and not strategize to figure out an answer to their problem or he could view me as an outlier and wouldn't know how to assign teams for everyone else here."

Shallot, Ruby, and Weiss had made it back to the group and Shallot stepped up in front of everyone.

Shallot: "Alright guys, I think everyone knows who I am but I will tell you to know I will tell you all how to overcome your situation. While we are here on the open plains we are at a disadvantage. Everyone grabs a relic and we will head to the ruins up ahead that have cover and structures that we can use that to our advantage."

Jaune: "Guys that thing is circling back."

Jaune pointed towards the Nevermore in the sky.

Shallot: "Well everyone, grab your piece, and let's go."

Shallot walked and seen a cracked piece among other golden pieces and grabs the cracked one.

Shallot: 'This one seems slightly different. It has a trace of energy but it's not ki. Maybe this is magic it feels similar to Raven when I had seen her. I'll see if I can keep this one later.'

Shallot and everyone grabbed their relic and ran towards the ruins with Ruby in the front stopping and looking back from a rock. Shallot walked next to Yang who had stopped looking at Ruby.

Shallot: "I think she'll make a pretty good leader. She has the aura of someone who can bring people together."

Yang smiled then started running after everyone else. Blake ran on the side of Shallot turning to him.

Blake: "After all of this you're going to have to tell me why you got kicked out of the White Fang, but I can probably guess why."

Shallot leaned close to her face then blew into her ear.

Shallot: "Ok my lucky cat whatever you want to know.

Blake then walked away to catch up with everyone else while Shallot just had a small smirk on his face then rang towards there location.
