Chapter 6: Choosing the OFA Bearer

"And what's your quirk?" All Might would say.

"I usually hide a part of my quirk from others because I don't want them to call me a monster, but I'm a slime," he said as he transformed into a slime.

"And what do you hide from others?" All Might asked, confused.

"I'm sorry, but I don't like to talk about it, though it's nothing bad," Rimuru said, looking down and pretending to be sad.

"Professionals always put their lives in danger, so I can't openly say if your sister can become a hero without a quirk," All Might said.

"I believe that heroes without quirks could at least face low-ranking villains because there are heroes whose quirks aren't as strong as super strength or other things, but rather weaker abilities like telepathy or erasing quirks. If you know how to fight and train, at least for low-ranking villains, a quirkless person could face them."

Izumi woke up when Rimuru asked the question, and when she heard it, she couldn't help but shed tears. She got up as best she could, trying not to look sad, and when she saw All Might, she tried to appear as excited as possible and asked for his autograph, getting excited when she already had it. When All Might left, Izumi didn't cling to his leg, which Rimuru found strange but then understood when he saw her slightly sad face.

"You heard it, right?" Rimuru said, looking at Izumi.

Izumi just nodded.

"How did you know?" Izumi asked, trying not to cry.

"Because if you hadn't heard it, you would have done something crazy like clinging to his leg to ask him the question," Rimuru said in a joking tone.

"You know me well," Izumi said, laughing a little.

"Come on, cheer up. I'll buy you anything you want from the mall," Rimuru said, smiling.

"Okay," Izumi said, blushing a little.

The two would be walking a different path since Rimuru asked Yunyun to tell him a route to pass by where the slime villain would fall, as he heard the explosion with his enhanced senses.

"What's happening there? Is it a villain?" Izumi asked, confused.

"Do you want to go see?" Rimuru asked.

"Of course... Better not," Izumi said sadly.

"Idiot, don't be sad. Remember that if your quirk doesn't awaken, I'll give you an ability, so even anti-quirk handcuffs won't be able to deactivate your ability," Rimuru said, giving Izumi a hit on the head.

"You're right, let's go. But how do you know about anti-quirk handcuffs not working?" Izumi said, more animated as they headed towards the crowd.

"Because they're not actual quirks," Rimuru said neutrally.

Before going, Rimuru visualized All Might in his thin form, unable to do anything, and when he saw Izumi, he saw her with her hands over her mouth, looking at the villain All Might had previously captured who had Kacchan. Izumi ran to save him, and Rimuru went after her to protect her. Izumi threw things from her backpack at the villain, and Rimuru let Yunyun take control on the condition that she wouldn't kill the villain. Rimuru's eyes turned red with some black squares in the pupils as he launched at the villain since Yunyun was better at calculating than him. When All Might saw the young quirkless girl attacking a villain that even heroes couldn't handle, it motivated him, and when he transformed, he saw Rimuru pull Kacchan from the villain and also protect Izumi. In his muscular form, he launched at the villain and punched him, scattering him into thousands of pieces.

"All done, master," Yunyun said, returning to her golden-eyed state.

(I told you to stop calling me master, or at least not when you're controlling my body,) Rimuru thought, knowing that if anyone heard it, he couldn't explain it.

"You shouldn't have put yourselves in danger / That was stupid," the heroes scolded the siblings.

"I'm fed up. We did your job, and you scold us like this. We saved Bakugo, something you should have done but didn't; you just stood there waiting for another hero to come when there were already 4 or 5 of you here. While you waited, you fell into that villain's trap, so if you want people to stay out of it, do your job well, understood? We're leaving, sister; we'll go to the mall another day," Rimuru said, pulling Izumi's arm, who was surprised because her brother never insulted anyone except Bakugo.

"Okay," Izumi said, walking alongside Rimuru.

Later, All Might would appear where the two were and surprise Izumi in his thin form, with Rimuru pretending to be surprised. All Might then apologized and explained about OFA and being his successor.

"Young Midoriya, tell me, would you like to be my successor?" All Might asked Izumi, who was on the ground crying.

"Looks like you'll have a quirk to say you awakened later," Rimuru said with a smile.

"Yes, I'll be your successor," Izumi said, determined.

"Very well, I knew you'd say that. So, see you in two days at the abandoned beach at 6," All Might said with a smile.

Timeskip to two days later at 6:00

"Hey, hey, hey, this fridge makes a great seat," Rimuru said, sitting on a fridge while Izumi tried to lift it.

"How do you expect me to move the fridge if you weigh 274 kilos?" Izumi said, tired.

"You're wrong; I've lost weight. Now I only weigh 255 kilos," All Might said.

"It looks easy," Rimuru said, looking at the fridge under the confused gaze of the two.

"Good joke, brother," Izumi said, thinking it was a joke.

"It's not a joke; I could move that even without increasing my strength," Rimuru said, walking towards it.

"Give me the rope," Rimuru said indifferently.

As soon as Izumi gave him the rope, Rimuru moved the fridge easily without using his magicules, surprising All Might and Izumi.

"Incredible," All Might said, surprised that Rimuru moved the fridge with him on it.

"But you have many abilities," Izumi said, thinking he used an ability.

"You're wrong; I didn't use any ability. This is pure strength," Rimuru said.

"Ability?" All Might said, confused.

"Incredible, but why are we on the beach throwing away trash?" Izumi asked All Might, confused.

"Sister, isn't it obvious? You're going to receive the power of the number 1 hero in that weak body. If you don't train your body, at the very least, your limbs would explode from not being able to handle so much power," Rimuru said, scaring Izumi.

"Ha ha ha, as Rimuru said, if you don't train, your limbs would explode, and you'd die from not being able to handle your power, so you're not yet a suitable vessel. That's why we're cleaning up trash. Your first step will be to clear the trash from this place. Besides, I found this place on the internet yesterday, and it has been left to rot for many years," All Might said.
