Unexpected Visitor PT : 1

Ryan arrived running faster than he had ever run before, he ran to the closest wolf he could find. "Hey, where is my mother? There's an emergency."

The brown wolf looked at him curiously but tilted his head to the side. Ryan turned around and found his mother hanging out and talking to some other females. He thanked the wolf and hurried towards his mother.

Star Light saw him going towards her and met him part of the way. She looked around and then back at him in confusion "What's wrong Viper pup? It's as if you had been spooked by an undead or something."

He was about to speak but he froze with what she had just said and begun thinking 'An undead? You mean that those actually exist?. He shook his head and tried getting to the point "Someone named Raven Tail arrived from the forest and reported that they have some wolves from the Swamp Clan. The wolves stated that one of their patrols was attacked by humans and some pups, elders, and warriors came to seek refuge."

Star Light turned around to her companions that she was talking with earlier "Get everyone gathered I'll be there to explain soon enough.

The females nodded and began to run off in different directions. His mother turned to look at him again and asked "Where are they?"

"Well they found the Swamp Wolves in the Snake Cliffs but the patrol is taking them to the Fallen Caves. Meanwhile, father said that he would fly over the Swamp Clan territory and try to see if it is true."

The while wolf looked at him in confusion for a second but she nodded and rubbed her snout on the top of his head. "You mean the Fallen Cliffs and the Snake Caves. Thanks for letting us know, now I want you to go back to the den and stay there. Soon I'll send some guards to make sure that you are all well protected."

Ryan thought about it for a minute and realized that he had actually jumbled the names of the places together. "Father said to let you know so that you could keep your guard up, also he told Raven Tail to make sure that they covered up their tracks so that human's summoned beasts couldn't track them to our territory. Mother, could you tell me what these beasts look like?"

She smiled at him and pointed at the den "I'll tell you about them later, for now, make sure to go with the other pups."

He nodded and watched her run towards the group of wolves that had formed, he sighed and began to walk to where he was told. 'That's one of the safest places at the moment anyway there really isn't much that I can do to help'.

When he arrived at the den the pups were all lying down on the floor with their head resting on their paws. As soon as they saw him they raised their head and began wagging their tails. Fang Pup ran towards him with a questioning look "Viper Pup where did Star Light take you? Are you okay? Is she still angry at you?"

He smiled and shook his head "No I don't think that I'm in any trouble anymore. The thing is that the pack is having some problems at the moment and for now all we can do is stay here and keep silent."

The grey pup seemed like he was about to open his mouth once more but quickly closed it shut and nodded. Then they all move away from the entrance and deeper into the cave leaving Ryan alone as he tried to make out Star Light's words in the distance.

"Sun Blaze I want you to find the other patrol and bring them back to the camp immediately. Make sure that they cover their tracks while they return, at the moment we need all the help we can if our camp is found out. Hopefully, the humans will be taken care of or at least weakened by the Swamp Clan so that we won't have to worry about them but it's better to be safe than sorry."

"I also want 4 wolves protecting the den at all times, those 12 pups are our future and they are worth more than your lives is that understood?"

"Yes, Star Light"

"Good the rest of us will be somewhat spread out around the camp if any humans are spotted everyone knows what you have to do."

Ryan gave a short sigh and began to go to the end of the den where the pups were. A few minutes later four wolves arrived, one of them was Ash Fur and the brown wolf he had talked to earlier. He sat next to them and looked as the rest of the wolves tried hiding inside some of the tall batches of grass.

He turned around and looked at the brown wolf "Hi nice to meet you, I'm Viper Pup. We met earlier but I didn't have the time to stop and talk with you. I was wondering what your name is."

The wolf grinned and nodded "We all know about the great Viper Pup and his accomplishments. My name is Dust Thorn and I'm one of the few warriors that had the honor of being taught by your father after my mentor passed away."

Ryan looked surprised at the brown wolf and began thinking 'These names keep on getting even more ridiculous what does dust and thorns have to do with one another. His name might be nonsense but if he really is an apprentice of my father aka the alpha then he has to be pretty strong.'

He nodded and smiled "It's nice to meet you, Dust Thorn, I was wondering about something do you think that you could answer my question."

The wolf looked curiously at him "Hmm depends, if it's something that I can answer then ask away however if it's something that I don't know the answer to then simply ask your father or mother."

"Thanks, I heard my father mention something about human's summoned creatures. He told me a quick description of humans but what about the creatures that they have? Do you think that you can tell me what they look like?"

Ash Fur and Dust Thorn seemed to think of how to explain the creatures but they shook their heads "Well the thing is that there are many different types. They look like any other creature, the only difference is that they have a mark on their foreheads. There have also been some cases where the animal that they summon is also a wolf like us. Some elders say that the creatures aren't from this world though and that the longer they stay the weaker the human that brought them here becomes. There have also been some rumors that there are some humans that have the power to turn our companions into their mindless slaves."

Ryan shivered as he heard the last part 'There are tamers in this world? I'm so freakin screwed now I really need to get the hell out of this body.'

The four wolves saw his shivering body and they began laughing "There is no need to worry young one, like I said they are simply rumors none of us have actually seen one. It's all part of the elder's stories to make sure that we stay away from humans."

He sighed and looked at the sky "There are so many dangers in this world."

They all nodded and looked at the young pup who seemed to be radiating with years of experience as he said those words. Ash Fur was about to laugh at Viper Pup and tell him that it was even more dangerous than he could imagine. Suddenly he got a whiff of a strange smell, one that he had smelled many times.

Ash Fur used his tail to hit it against Dust Thon and get his attention, "I smell a strong scent of blood and it's coming this way."
