Chapter 194 Mother

Krana stepped back in discomfort. The crazed rambling of Trickster only served to scare her.

"Get away from her!" the mother screamed. She recklessly raised her weapon, bound to time itself and threatened the monster in front of her. A big mistake.

"No, please don't hurt me, no I'm just a weakling!" Trickster said and appeared in front of the women. In its hands was an umbrella, that already reached its target, claiming the mother's life. "Just kidding!" Trickster said with a psychotic smile. "This is self defense after all." Trickster said and turned to the empty space where the Zerosaur was.

"Not you too, do you have no shame. Abandoning your daughter at such young age!" Trickster said, killing the father, that had tried to attack it. Now only the daughter remained and she was trembling in fear. She had seen her parents, who she thought were all powerful get killed with ease, by a evil monster who had planes for her.

"Please get away from me!" the girl said and walked away from Trickster. But it had no plans of letting her go. It slowly approaching her, while sealing of her escape.

"Don't worry little girl, I need only one sample!" Trickster told the girl, yet she didn't listen. She tried to run, but there was nowhere to go. Billions of umbrellas had formed all around them, creating a barrier, sealing everything inside.

Before the girl could struggle more, Trickster grabbed her and extracted a weird substance from her.

"This will do, this will do just fine. I have no experience raising children, so if you could be so kind as to take care of it after I'm done. I'll reach out to you when I'm done conceiving this little thing. Oh the chaos we'll cause, bahaha." Trickster said in bliss and disappeared.

Months went by and the Krana had ran away, hopping to hide in the nothingness part of the seventh dimension. But it was no a place any creature should live, especially if they're not pure nothingness. Self hatred would affect her on daily basis and she thought about ending it all many times. But one day her quiet, safe image she had thought to live in shattered. As Trickster appeared in front of her in the middle of nothingness. In its hands was a huge child, recently conceived.

"Here you go, tech it some basic manners and stuff, will you. This is your kid too after all!" Trickster had said and disappeared again. Leaving behind a monstrosity.

Krana tried to kill the child using her powers over nothingness and time but she failed.

"Why is mommy trying to hurt me?" the child had asked and Krana felt a shiver down her spine.

"It's just a game honey. I do that to make sure you're growing in the right way!" she has told it. Kronius being an innocent child had believed its mother's words and asked. "We'll we be playing games often mother?"

"Of course honey, at least once a day!" she had told it.

Like that time went by, Krana would try killing Kronius at least once a day. She feared her child, it was growing so fast. One time it even accidentally crippled her when she tried to kill it. Kronius had laughed and said. "Mom, mom, look I can also play now!" happily.

"No that's not okey. Only mother can do that!" she told it and Kronius pouted, but listened to its mother's words.

At some point Kronius felt bored and left nothingness and came to existence. It was so lively and there it had met its first friend. He went by Gluttony and was powerful. Kronius had told him about the came it had with its mother and asked if it could try playing it with Gluttony. Gluttony had agreed and Kronius tried its powers on Gluttony,

"Impressive kid, you got power and spark. Let's meet again!" Gluttony had told it and dismissed the kid. Kronius was happy and returned home to its mother. But what awaited it was several hours of the game, but Kronius thought the game was boring, it was more fun with its friend. But its mother wouldn't stop. She was even screaming at it over and over again. Telling Kronious it had been a bad kid.

The next day Kronius met with Gluttony again, who seemed to be doing well. He even brought a friend. His name was God. A powerful being, who guarded all creatures rights, of all the three greats. Kronius had made good friends with him too and asked if it could play its favorite game with God. God accepted and was shocked when he was attacked. He asked waht it was about and Kronius said it was the game its mother always played with it. God had nodded and said.

"I'll come by and hang out when I have time little one. Gluttony will always be available if you need him!"

Kronius nodded and said it had to come home again.

Once more its mother played that boring game with it for hours. Constantly telling it that it had been a bad kid.

"I don't like this game anymore mother!" it had told her, but she dismissed his whining and continued.

Years went by and Kronius would always visit Gluttony, no matter how much its mother complained.

Then one day the mother followed Kronius p, having had enough of her child escaping all the time.

"So you're the one having bad influence on my useless child!" Krana had said to Gluttony before realizing who she was talking too.

"Kronius, can I play the game with your mother?" Gluttony asked Kronius. Feeling disgust for the being who appeared before him.

"Okey!" Kronius had innocently said and Gluttony smiled.

He raised his bare hands and an ever consuming vortex appeared. It trapped Karana and forced her to stay in place, as the vortex slowly shredded her into pieces and consumed her. She screamed in pain until she died. A very painful death.

"Hmm, it seems your mother lost the game Kronius. Want to go to my and God's place and hang out with us?" Gluttony asked and Kronius nodded happily.

(Back to Ragnar)

Wtf did I just watch. What the hell was that?

I didn't even get time to think about what I saw, as I appeared in a room I was all to familiar with. This was the house my mother had lived in, after my death. Why was I here again. That's when I saw my mother again, it had been so long. But I didn't feel anything, I knew it was an illusion. She was an illusion, or was she. This is the flow of time, illusions shouldn't exist here!

I stood in the empty house and heard "mother" it was the hurt voice from the past me. When I had been showed my mother dying from overdosing on drugs. I could sense myself disappearing from the place as something changed.

In the empty house my mother appeared again and next to her were thousands of Sun Vermin.

"What do you want us to do my lady?" one of the Sun Vermin asked.

"Take Alice and reincarnate her. Make sure she suffers as much as possible! I will handle the rest. If Ragnar sees all those terrible things we'll be able to find him. Paarthadox won't be able to stop him and Cronus is passive for the moment. This is our only chance to reach him!"

"What about Trickster, it won't like us touching its property. If we're not careful we'll be killed my lady." one of the Sun Vermin said.

"Don't worry, me and Trickster are on friendly terms and want the same thing. He won't stop us, it likes its subjects suffering anyways. Plus I heard there was something weird with this one to begin with. Just do as told!" she ordered.

"Yes mam, we'll send some monsters of chaos to capture a god of reincarnation and make it as natural as possible. So Ragnar won't question anything."

"Good idea, if he reaches his full strength before we can kill him, it's over for us and everything we've worked for!" the women said.

I watched as the scenery changed and I saw a god being chased. Several monsters of chaos that I was all to familiar with was chasing a god who wielded reincarnation. He was constantly attacking the monsters but was overwhelmed quickly and poof, he was under their control. Then a weird conversation ensued.

"Is this really a good idea?" " Of course it is, even if he hates us, it is what we want." "Yes as long as he hates, hehehehe." "But why hate us, he can hate everything instead?" "It is easier to make him hate us! End of discussion, begin part two, of the plan." "Yes sir, all is in order. Summoning the women now." "But sir, how do we torture her if everything is consumed by chaos already?" "We simply send her to a world, chaos has not touched and hinder it from touching the world, until everything is done." "That's a great idea, I wish I was as smart as you, I'm leaving now, I'm bored." "Do as you wish, just don't get in the way." "yeah yeah, see ya later."

(Note read chapter 36-39 for slight refresh in memories)

Then everything changed again and I saw Alice being reincarnated and thrown into the cave. Where she would struggle for her life.

Now I understand, my mother, my f@cking mother was behind this. She was never killed and now she's come to haunt me. She' behind everything! I raged.

Then I was once more thrown into the chaotic flow of time. Each vision I saw filed me with knowledge and power. But also rage, an unquenchable rage.

Then I came to a stop, I don't know how long later. I was already in the 69th layer. Someone had come to visit me, an all to familiar face. It was Cronus, he stood before my endless body of Nightwater that had spread throughout time itself. Affecting it with my very presence. Like a true original timeline should.

"It's been a while Ragnar, I think you have some questions for me!" Cronus said and I responded.

"Oh course I do. But first thanks for saving me and second, why the hell did you save me?"

"Do you want the long version, or the short version."

"How long is the long version?" I asked.

"Hmm, about 150 000 words."

"Okey, I'll go with the short version."

"Got it, long long ago in a time different from this one there I was....

A gigantic, young being sat down on a small stone throne. For as long as it had know it had hated its father and his rule. He was alone, no one to help him. But one day his mother gave him a scythe. It was sharp, so sharp. She had told him it could even kill his father. But Cronus knew better. He would stand no chance in fighting his father. They were worlds apart when it came to their powers. So Cronus tried to delve into his powers but to no avail. It's like his powers were useless, everything he had been told about giants, titans and their power didn't work with his own.

Then one day he appeared. A strong man. His powers were almost the same as Cronus. He had taught him how to use his powers and all the possibilities. Cronus swore to serve him, but the being known as Ragnar denied his wish asking inly for one thing.

"Be my friend."

"Why!" Cronus had asked, not understanding why such creature would want him.

"Time has decided that you would be an alpha in the future. So I decided to help you become one. The road is long and tedious and you'll need all the help you can get!" Ragnar had told him and Cronus had more questions now then before. What was an alpha?
