Chapter 17 Day 4 Part 2

The fight against the 7/12 giants, wasn't going so smoothly. Many giants made it through, because the mothership stopped shooting them. But we had killed one of the giants, meaning we can use some more cannons to the weaker giants, now. As for the wall, well let's just say, having hundred thousand giants attack you, doesn't speed up the process.

Don't get me wrong, the gods were doing fine, rebuilding the wall, but it could be faster! The mothership and the other ships are being destroyed, outside the realms, we need them inside. Other than that we were doing great.

Another one of the 7/12 giants were killed. Now we can focus all other cannons at the weaker giants again.

" What's our loses?"

"150 000 ships have been destroyed, loses on ground is unknown sir."

Not to bad, but not good either. We need to shift the odds more in our favor.

"What the current status on the wall?"

"There almost finished connecting the walls on all realms." He said as the last 7/12 was killed.

"Good, begin passive retreat! "

"You heard what the captain said. Send message to all ships and realms!" One of the captains screamed.

I was brewing up another plan at the spot. The new one was, to shoot down every giant that enters the realm with the ships. This way our losses at the wall and ships would be less and might be enough to make us survive this.

The ships started flying backwards, while shooting giants. Slowly making their way towards the walls.

Ones we arrived the wall and realms were fully connected. Getting my plan in action I leaned back I my seat, ready to see how it works.

It worked splendidly, every giant that entered, were killed instantly. We had almost no losses for thirty minutes. Until a 6/12 giant decided to pop out and destroy a wall, killing all gods on and around it. The best part was that it was outside the motherships domain, so we couldn't do anything to stop it. That's when I got the brilliant idea of taking of some of the cannons, on the mothership and put them where we couldn't reach.

" get some ships to remove some of our cannons!"

" why would we do that sir?"

"We are going to put one cannon in every realm we can't reach!"

"But sir, if we do that, we will have to remove ten thousand cannons."

"I know just get on with it."

My orders were quickly put into action. Every second we wasted that giant could destroy another realm. We couldn't leave our position to help them, since if we did that, all other realms would be swarmed. Seeing a cannon be carried by a ship and be used as a rifle, was quite the ironic sight.

The cannons were brought to the other realms and the 6/12 giant was killed and so would all others of it's kind. And with that our defense was perfect as long as no 8/12 or higher invaded us. And with that I called the general.

" The realm has been secured sir."

"Great work. I will send a new mothership with another commander to you. He will take over defending the wall! You will be taking his ship and crew and he will be taking yours. The man I'm sending is one of the best at defense, but not good at working miracles, unlike you. That's why I need you to do something else!"

"Yes general, I will not disappoint you."

"I know you won't. The mothership ship will arrive in an hour."

The rest of the hour went without any surprises and the ship arrived right on time.

Sadly the new mothership was much smaller than my previous one. The commander flew to my ship and I flew to his.

When i landed, no one came to greet me, so I made my way towards the command center. Man I love the signs on the walls, if not for them I would be lost in this huge ship. Ones I arrived in the command center I saw a thousand gods working on the computers. But the scary thing was all of them was 5/12. I made my way towards the command chair and sat down ones more. Right as I sat down I received a call from the general.

" hello there. You might be thinking, where is everyone why is there one thousand 5/12 gods controlling the ship. Well to answer that my friend. I went with quality over quantity. Meaning on your ship there is one hundred thousand 5/12 gods. Directly out of the academy. Though they have never experienced war there power makes up for that. Your mission will not be to reclaim, but to create chaos among the enemy. The ship you have right now can hide from 7/12 and below. You and the other gods are to go to the enemy's middle and kill as many as you can and return to the ship. You and your team will be doing this for a while."

" General with all due respect, isn't this a suicide mission?"

"No, you will do an in and out! You have thirty seconds to kill and return to the ship! Rinse and repeat. Nothing else, understood? I don't want great soldiers and a commander to die for nothing."

"Yes sir."

With that the call ended and I made my painful way to the enemy's frontline, to then sneak behind them. While waiting I ordered everyone to gather at the docking Bridge.

" Why's our commander a 3/12? I'm stronger than that!" A mindless ret@rd complained.

" Silence." Screamed the only 6/12 on the ship

" Hello everyone. I'm Ragnar and I will be the commander for this mission! My job will be to order and heal you. Our mission will be to attack the enemy, not defend like everyone else. We will attack precise places to create as much chaos as possible. Any questions?"

"How come you are the commander? Aren't you a bit to weak?"

" I am the commander for my achievements. To command, one does not need power! You need talent, merits and flawless strategy. Any one else?"

"Isn't this a suicide mission?"

"No! You have thirty seconds to kill a giant and return to the ship. If you are any slower, you will be left behind! For the survival of everyone else."

With that said, I left the bridge to return to the command center. This will be a long day i thought to myself.

(Author here. Yoo nice chapter right? Do tell. Anyways, one or two chapters tomorrow don't know. Soon we will get to the second wall how great is that. After this volume we will focus much more on the life of his worshipers. So look forward to that. I just wanted to be better at writing before doing that. author out :) )
