That One Guy

"I said I don't cry." Sakura became frustrated.

< Yes, master is the bravest. Master doesn't ever cry. >

"Oi, why do I feel like you are making fun of me."

< I am just stating facts, master. >

"Hmph, you better be." Sakura puffed her cheeks.

"Anyway, what's my requirement to evolve?"

Sakura looked through the details of the next evolution.

>>> Sakura spirit

A normal spirit wandering in the woods of Sakura petals. Upon gaining this race the user will gain

 the skills,

 1. Sakura Enhancement(A)

gives the user 100%+ buff in wood magic. Wood magic will not consume any mana and only

 build up mental fatigue.

Requirements: 10 bloom cycle, intermediate mastery of wood element.

"Ten Bloom Cycles!!!"

"That's freeking ten years, damn it!" Sakura complained. Ten bloom Cycle means ten years before she could evolve again.

'But then again, I am immortal. So, it kinda makes sense.'

"Sigh. Look's like it will be a long time before I can evolve." Sakura sighed out of frustration.

"Help!!! Somebody help me." Suddenly a girl's cry was heard.

"Huh?" Sakura realized someone was in trouble. So, she started a light sprint towards the location of the voice.

'Astra, where is it?' She asked in her mind.

< 50 meters to the front and 80 meters to the right. >

Sakura followed Astra's instruction and reached the source of the voice.

There, a girl was being surrounded by a group of ruffians.

"What the..." Sakura stopped upon realizing something. She took a close look at the ruffians harassing the girl.

'It's them!' She recognized the ruffians the same group of people who were harassing her yesterday.

"So, that means..."

"Stop right there you vile villains," Phil Shouted from a rooftop.

"Don't worry miss, I will protect you." Phil jumped from the rooftop.

"Oh, ho. Playing hero, are we?"

"Don't be sorry when we beat you black and blue." The hooligans shouted.

"Heh, who beats who is just the answer of time," Phil smirked.

The familiar fight started again.

"Aah!" The hooligans flew away, crashing into the walls.

"This ain't over you, bastard." The stick, like boy, said.

"Yeah, you may have won this round, but we'll be back!" The fat boy added.

"You haven't seen the last of us!" The hooligans retreated.

"Are you alright?" Phil said to the girl.

'This isn't gonna work, right?' Sakura thought internally.

"Oh, my hero!" The girl exclaimed.

'The frick, it worked.' Sakura was speechless. How is there a person who falls for such a thing?

The impressed girl was beautiful, with a noble aura, silky white hair, and fair milky white skin. Sakura couldn't believe someone as beautiful as this girl would fall for this type of farse.

At this moment Sakura and Phil's eyes met.

"..."

"..."

'Why is it that every time I meet this guy he's doing something stupid.'

The knight captain looked at the familiar figure with disdain. "What do you want?"

"I was just wondering if the hero of our time is still sleeping or not," Jester said with a teasing tone.

The knight captain felt weird hearing this. What was this guy up to? The knight captain couldn't get a read on him. "What do you mean by hero." He asked.

"By hero, I of course mean you, good sir. You are our only future beacon in our dark sky. Your majestic presence is like a dragon waiting to rise above the clouds and ascend to havens to rule the three realms and to end any and all darkness."

"Cough... get to the point." The knight captain's ego felt a little heavier hearing all the praises. He had his a fair share of pride, after all. He studied Knights Manship in a renowned academy after all. There is no more than hundred people in this entire country who could potentially rivel him in knight etiquettes and swordsmanship.

"I am trying to say that your great potential is being wasted here, my good sir." Jester said in a matter of fact manner.

"My good potential?"

"Yes, just being a knight commander is an insult your talent. You should be much higher, much more discussed, a hero among the people. You should be..."

"I should be?" The knight captain gulped.

"The lord.. of coarse."

the knight captain instantly understood what Jester was implying. Jester was saying he should rebel against the current lord.

"I am sorry but that is not possible Mister Jester." The knight captain flatly denied it.

"Oh! that's a dud. I guess good sir still doesn't understand his potential, yet." Jester stood up. "No, worries. take this." Jester put down a card on the table. "This is my inn address. visit me if you change your mind. I am willing to give my support to you if you want."

Before the knight captain could say anything else Jester left. The knight captain picked up the card from the table. He had an urge to throw it away but decided to keep it anyway. What's the harm in keeping it. It's not like he's gonna take the offer anyway.

"So, she's your acquaintance?" The white haired girl said while clinging on to Phil like a stubborn glue.

"Yes... we are." Phil said. Awkwardness was still in the air between him and Sakura.

Hearing this the white haired girl hugged Phil's hand more and more tightly.

Sakura also wasn't sure what to say either. 'She looks kinda familiar though.' Sakura thought. The white haired girl looked a little familiar to her.

< She is the same girl you bumped into this morning, master.>

'Which one?'

< The one that you slammed your door on first thing in the morning. >

'Wait she's that girl from this morning!!'Sakura exclaimed upon this realization. She did in fact open the door on someone's face this morning. The incident was short-lived due to the girl running away.

"Hello there I am Sakura. Nice to meet you." Sakura introduced herself. However, what Sakura got in return was a cold glare from the white haired girl as she tightened her grip around Phil's arms. At this point Sakura could see Phil visibly whinch in pain.

With a little bit of hostility from the white haired girl and a little awkwardness from Phil. The group strated walking. Sakura tried to make some small talks. And after a while of persuasion the white haired girl finally talked.

The girl name is Aeolia. She came from the recently fallen nation of Auton.

According to what the girl told the kingdom of Auton recently fell to the Kingsman kingdom.

Due to this, the economy of Auton is going through change. Aeolia came to the Arara kingdom to escape from the turmoil going in her country.

After returning to her room in the inn Sakura plopped onto the bed.

"Sigh, she still seemed hostile till the end." Sakura sighed in defeat.

In the end, Sakura couldn't befriend or at least aquint with Aeolia. Purely because Aeolia for some reason wasn't very keen on talking with Sakura.

Aeolia did talk if Phil didn't interject. She seemed to have some sort of grudge towards Sakura which Sakura didn't understand why.

<It's probably because she thinks you have a relationship with Phil.>

"But I don't though."

< Aeolia doesn't know that. >

"Fair enough." Astra's reasoning was kind of right. However, Sakura still couldn't deny Aeolia's fault here.

"Well, let's not think about it." Sakura bought out the books she bought at the store. Most of them were magic books. Some were travel logs and history books. Sakura bought them since Astra asked to.

Although Sakura was reluctant to let Astra read history books since Astra doesn't mind it Sakura didn't either.

Sakura started sorting out all the books to her interests.
