Chapter-2: Trying to hunt.

Yesterday I learned a bit about this world and about what I can do. To start this world is called Nifdarkoum which proves that it's not the same as N.O even tho the names are somewhat similar.

And this world is a world of swords and magic which only makes me feel more excited, I could learn magic with some practice, but right now I need food supplies.

Right now, I'm in the tenku tenku forest, it's a forest in the southeast area of the continent I'm in, by the way, this continent is called Filinalia.

Sophia told me that Filinalia is the first of 9 continents present in this world, not only that but it's also classified as the weakest and less relevant continent from a world level perspective, as it seems this world works in a strength-based hierarchy where Filinalia is in the bottom. The worst part is that Filinalia Is oppressed by other continents and it's not really ruled by its inhabitants, but rather by the people of another continent.

From what I could get the disparity between continents in this world is massive and it's hard to even compare them, there's just an enormous difference in many areas especially power, and weaker continents just don't have any way to go against stronger ones. The only reason they haven't just been completely colonized by stronger continents are that one, the resources of the higher-ranked continents are better, and two, there's a level cap in each continent, and even if you're from a higher continent your level gets restricted once you enter weaker continents.

I was really interested in knowing more, but this is about as much as I know. When I tried to ask for more info, the answer I got was:

Luckily this forest is a low-ranking one, so I don't have to worry about very strong enemies, but I still need to find suitable prey for someone on my level.

Considering my situation, I started walking through the forest without knowing, if I'll be able to find an opponent I can defeat in my current state.

While I was searching for prey of my level, I saw a monkey on a tree nearby. I could somewhat tell that the monkey Is stronger than me, so I hid in the bushes and used my <Godly Demonic purple eyes> to appraise it.

What?! a monkey has more charm than me what kind of joke is this. I really need to evolve into something better and fast.

"But, can someone like me really get there? Will I be able to go through it if I try?... I can! I have to stop thinking pessimistically, I'll definitely find something even I can deal with in my current level. There has to be something that stay at the bottom of the food chain! I murmur to myself in a monologue as I decide that I'll be optimistic, then I continue to analyze the monkey's status screen. It seems to have some interesting skills, a title and even an extra.

Tenku howl: It's a powerful howl that has the words TENKU TENKU, as it's activation words. It disturbs all the opponent's senses for some instants.

It's used as an escape skill by tenku tenku monkeys.

Simian reflexes: It increases the the mobility,speed and flexibility. Also improves the balance of those that have a tail.

Strong tail: Increases the strength and control of one's tail.

The benefits and bonuses given by the skill improve as the skill levels up.

Monkey language: Allows you to speak to monkeys.

These are some interesting skills especially the first one.

"It is a function that allows the user to inherit skills from the monsters killed."(Sophia)

"I see, that sounds useful."(Protagonist)

Tenku tenku fruit's boost: This boosts one's physical strength by +30 for each fruit eaten.

The effect is temporary and the time is reduced by the number of tenku tenku fruits eaten.

The effect lasts longer on tenku tenku monkeys.

This thing would definitely be dangerous in human's hands. Well, let's not think about that for now and see what the title does.

The lost one: A title given to those with no sense of direction. If you have this title, you will not find your way home unless guided by someone else.

While I was thinking about the information I just got, the monkey disappeared.

So, I decided to go on with my search for prey.

After searching for some time, I found a goblin. Luckily it's alone, but it has a short spear with it, I better look at its status before trying to kill it, it might be dangerous.

As I activate my <Godly Demonic purple eyes> through thoughts instead of saying it, a notification ringed in my mind.

But I decided to ignore it for now and concentrated on the status screen in front of me.

This goblin is too strong for a physical battle. I'm very ashamed to say so considering that I should be a cheat.

Luckily I learned one magical spell I thought would be useful yesterday, I think this is a great chance to use it.

Then I begin to collect some rocks from around the area. After collecting the rocks I put them in my inventory and to my surprise, the inventory seems to have a multiplication function that increases the number of items collected inside the inventory. For each rock I put inside I get from 23-32 rocks, so I won't have to worry about running out of rocks also it's extremely useful considering I can take out or put in things instantly from the inventory and can store anything in a range of 30 meters, it was quite hard to test.

After collecting an acceptable quantity of rocks, I look to confirm if the goblin is still there. I could use my <ultra detection-lv-1> skill, but I don't feel it's necessary yet, so I simply look.

I see the same goblin there it looks like he's eating a rabbit, it looks like it's my lucky day now that he's distracted eating it would be considerably easier. Also, it seems now that he let go of the short spear his str reduced to 11, if I don't do it now, I won't get a better chance so soon.

I get closer to the goblin in stealth mode, doing my best not to let a noise out. Once I get close enough I get some rocks from my inventory and start throwing them at the distracted goblin with all my strength that is very low.

Then once again I get notifications and decide to ignore them. As I keep throwing rocks at the goblin.

The once peacefully eating goblin gets hit by some rocks and immediately gets up to get his spear just like predicted.

<light magic:flash>

I use this spell to create a strong flash of light that temporarily blinds the goblin as I rush towards the spear while the goblin is rubbing it's eyes in pain while on the ground.

Not too long after I was able to grab the short spear and by the time I did the goblin had already got up and was looking at me with pure bloodthirsty eyes. I could feel it, it wanted me dead.

Goblin:I'll kill you. Killlllllllllllllll.kill,kill,kill,kill youuuuu!!!!!!

The goblin screamed as it charged at me it obviously knew I was weaker, and came straight at me with no restrictions and no plans just charging at me a like a mad warrior.

"perfect."(Protagonist)

I said as I made an evil smirked.

Now all I need to do is wait for the right moment.

The goblin who wasn't that far from me, being just a few meters away.

"Just a little closer and I can do it."(Protagonist)

In no time, the goblin was already 1 one meter away from me then.

<light magic:flash>

Once again a strong light blinded the goblin who was now running at his max. Then when he tried to stop his body but it was already too late, I had already positioned the short spear to thrust him using his strength to do so. The goblin was in a panic state cause it could understand that it had no way of escaping this, and it started moving its arms like crazy and just before the short spear fully thrust him, and in that period he was able to hit me with a final punch before dying.

Having been pushed by the goblin with all it had left, I was now on the floor with blood coming out of my nose and mouth even tho I won this battle, I realized in what kind of state I was left from one lucky shot punch, I finally understand what was the power difference between me and the now-dead goblin.

Not having the strength to get up I simply stayed there lying on the ground.

"I'm still too weak, maybe I should try something weak the next time."

I laid down trying to recover from the experience more mentally than physically.
