Bone Crushing Bite

Matthew's eyes and the biggest deer's eyes locked against each other, but only for a few seconds as Matthew was the first one to break the staring contest and started running on the ground, and heading straight to the deer's head.

Matthew is currently running with his 4 limbs, hands included so that he could reach the maximum speed limit with his current body physiology.

The deer also didn't stay still at all when he saw Matthew was charging at him, the deer welcomed Matthew's charge with a charge of his own, running with all his might and positioned his enhanced antlers towards Matthew's direction, and ready to pit his antlers against Matthew's body.

With the deer using his aura ability, it gives him a boost to his overall body strength and defense, and it also gives a massive boost to its antlers, turning them to be extremely tough and durable.

The deer was actually quite confident in winning against Matthew since the deer noticed Matthew didn't activate any aura ability and even though the deer had never seen the creature in front of him, he definitely realizes that the creature only has a weird crocodile-like tough scales on its body, but it didn't have any tusk or antlers on its body, hence with his enhanced antlers, the deer's confidence in winning ramming competition is through the roof.

And the deer was absolutely, 100% right that he would win if they were really going to be bashing their heads against each other. Because even Matthew's crocodile scutes can't do much if his head was hit hard enough to make him get a concussion and with the enhanced deer's antlers, and their running momentum going in the opposite direction, a concussion is pretty expected to happen, while Matthew's skull breaking is another possibility that might happen.

But of course, Matthew clearly understands this problem, and he didn't have any plans to fix this weakness of his, because he never planned to do any dumb attack like charging straight into his opponent with his head in front.

When Matthew's head and the deer's antlers were only about 1 and a half meters away, Matthew launched his tongue to the nearby tree on his right and coiled it onto the base of the tree before pulling his body towards the tree, resulting in a sudden change of position where now the deer was running into an empty ground while Matthew was directly beside the deer's body.

The deer was already so confident before, that he even increased his running speed a few meters before the impact happened. Alas, the moment he is waiting for where his antlers will be crushing the poor creature in front of him never happened, but instead, he saw the creature suddenly jerking its body sideways to dodge his charge. And with all the build-up momentum the deer had, it was impossible for him to stop moving so suddenly, so he kept on running while steadily trying to decrease his speed.

But Matthew didn't dodge sideways not to only play as a matador with the deer, when the deer was about to run past him, Matthew pulled up his arm, extended his claws outward towards the deer's body. And when the deer finally run past him, the deer's body was grated by Matthew's sharp claws and blood started flowing out of the wounds as a sign that Matthew's claws succeeded in injuring the deer.

But Matthew wasn't quite happy because he felt how strong the deer's body had become. Although the deer is definitely injured from the blood that was flowing out of the claw marks, Matthew knew that the wound wasn't that deep. Matthew could feel that the deer's enhanced muscle was giving Matthew's claws a decent resistance and prevented the claws from going even deeper into the deer's body.

The deer was shocked at first when he felt a stinging pain on his side, but he knew that the aura ability gave him extra protection, and such a wound wasn't fatal at all for him.

'Ck, I should have coated my claws with the venom.' Matthew thought as he looked at the deer that was smugly looking at him as if looking at his attack earlier as a cheap trick.

'Be proud all you want, but I won't be missing this free meal you just gave me.'

With the deer charging out in Matthew's direction, the 4 other deers who used to stand behind the big deer for protection had been left vulnerable. And Matthew, who was pissed off by the big deer's expression, of course, will take advantage of the opportunity given to him by darting forward as fast as he could towards the 4 deers.

Matthew kicked his tree off the tree he was standing on, and in a blink of an eye, he covered the distance of 10 meters and was right next to the other 4 deers. Seeing that the unknown creature suddenly appeared in front of them, the 4 deers are both surprised and frightened.

Seeing the delayed reaction of the 4 deers, Matthew didn't even bother to use his tongue to latch himself to a deer. Instead, he just jumped upward fully relying on his leg strength. Although Matthew wasn't able to jump that high vertically, 3-meters is already enough to reach the deer's head. Then using both of his hands, Matthew caught on to the deer's neck before biting it with his wolf mouth.

Before his third evolution, Matthew's size was quite lacking and even his wolf mouth was only able to cover half of the deer's whole neck. But now that his body is already the same size as the deer's and his head also grew proportionally larger following his body's growth, Matthew is now able to barely fit the whole deer's neck inside his mouth.

Matthew's main method of killing the deer was by tearing a part of their neck and let them bleed to death slowly, but now that he had added the crocodile's second jaw joint, the crocodile jaw muscle, and the increase in his overall strength, Matthew was going in for the kill with another method.

The moment the deer's neck was fully inside his mouth, Matthew bit down as hard as he could. He felt the crocodile jaw muscle giving its best support as Matthew easily bit through the deer's skin and flesh and his teeth are now pushing down hard on the deer's neck bones.

While the skin and the flesh of the deer had barely given any resistance to Matthew's biting strength, the bones did give him a tougher time. But it wasn't for long, as he felt his second jaw joint moving and pushed his mouth closer together even further.

With the combined strength of his improved body, added jaw muscle, and the second jaw joint, a crack was soon heard coming from the deer's neck and Matthew soon felt the deer's neck bones inside his mouth was clearly broken in pieces way beyond repair.

But fortunately for the deer, the whole process of Matthew jumping onto his neck before completely breaking it apart, only took about 7 seconds, and the deer wasn't even completely woken up from its confused state before suddenly losing its life.

The loud cracking sound from the neck bones breaking becomes a wake-up call for the other deers and the deer who were using aura. The 3 remaining deers turned tail and ran without thinking about it for a second while the big deer stared at Matthew with vicious eyes.

Matthew looked at the big deer and responded to the deer's fierce eyes with a challenging gaze of his own before he suddenly started to run charging towards the deer one more time.

The enraged deer who had just seen its kin murdered right in front of its eyes, of course, didn't back down from the challenge and started charging towards Matthew once again.

Matthew had fought against a desperate deer before where it saw all of its friends slowly dying by Matthew's venom, and the eyes of that deer were filled with madness and rage as it abandoned the thought of fleeing and just focused on taking its revenge.

But the deer in front of Matthew is certainly different from the deer from before. Although Matthew had seen the rage in his eyes, Matthew knew that the deer won't be abandoning all reasons and just charge at him again blindly since he had tricked the deer the first time before.

And Matthew's guess was correct. As the deer was already near Matthew, it didn't increase its speed like before, but it stayed steady and cautious to intercept Matthew's tricks like before.

The deer was certainly smart in this regard to not be consumed by rage and remembered the lesson it had just learned the moment before. But unfortunately, Matthew didn't only have 1 trick up his sleeve.

When the deer was going at full speed before, it was dangerous for Matthew to meddle with the deer's body because of the strength and momentum it carried was dangerous for Matthew if he ever got hit by them and inflicting a wound by grazing his claws with its side is the safest option that Matthew had.

But now that the deer wasn't going at full speed and it was just going forward at a careful rate where it could change its direction anytime it wanted, it was the perfect condition for Matthew to use the other card he had.

Just like before, when the two were only separated by a 2-meter distance, Matthew once again launched his tongue out. The deer of course noticed this and it slowed down even further to prevent Matthew from grazing its side once again. But the deer didn't expect at all that the tongue wasn't going into a tree's direction, but instead, it was going into his direction.

Because the deer was trying to stop its body from moving forward to prevent itself from getting caught in Matthew's trap, the deer was now actually almost completely stopped moving, enabling Matthew's tongue to easily wrap around both of the deer's front legs and tie them up together.

When Matthew got the deer's front legs in his grasp, he jerked them up as hard as he could, resulting in the deer losing its footing and falling onto the ground.

The deer tried to struggle as hard as it could, but it couldn't do much when Matthew swiftly took a hold of its neck and bit down.

Matthew's sharp teeth easily pierced through the deer's skin, but it slowed down significantly when it was trying to tear the deer's aura-enhanced muscles and only succeeding after the second jaw joint took part in it. And when the teeth finally reached the bones with great difficulty, it completely stopped moving against the aura-enhanced bones.

'Whoa! These bones are something else! … Plan C then!'

After seeing that his attack to break the deer's bone failed, Matthew then injected a full sac of his +2 spider venom and then added a half-sack off the snake's venom into the deer's bloodstream.

If Matthew had torn open the deer's neck then the venom won't work cause they will flow out along with the blood, but now that Matthew didn't tear the flesh out, the venom was still able to flow into the deer's bloodstream even though a small amount was bound to flow out along with some blood.

Matthew was actually capable of killing the deer faster by tearing the deer's neck, but he didn't want to wait for another chance to test out his upgraded spider venom and the newly added snake venom. And after about 8 minutes, with the deer already losing its will to live it didn't take long for Matthew to receive the notification,
