4 Chapter 4

__Shrek City__

It may have been the clan's meddling or by pure coincidence, Yaoheng and him will be sharing a room. Not that, they are opposing. However, classes are given out randomly just now so they won't be in the same class.

First day in class, Long Chen is already standing out from the crowd as people from a prominent clans with a promising future. He was already well-known as the greatest prodigy in the Ming clan. Many recognize his name. The girls couldn't help but admire his charming, attractive face and quiet nature which made him so mysterious. Not too long later, the door opens and the fierce comes in.

"Alright class, it's time to start. I'm Zhou Yi and I'll be your homeroom teacher starting today. Keep in mind that trashes will be expelled on the spot. Shrek needs monsters, not useless waste."

Naturally, those words alone spark many complains especially since the lot of these kids are from great families or pride themselves in their abilities and praised to the heavens for being such geniuses.

Teacher Zhou Yi ignored all of them, "Each and every one of you will be receiving a training regime. I will hand out the paper now."

The teacher gave each students a piece of paper containing their timetables and classes. Surely enough, it was packed and harsh. Their first class was already physical, weight training. This teacher means business.

"The first class will merely be a test to weed out the weak so GET TO IT!"

"Wha! Why should we listen to you!"

"Yeah, we're all strong!"

"It's only the first day too!"

"Good good, you don't wish to do as I say, is that right? Is it the same as the rest of you?"

Long Chen, who knows her personality stands up and runs outside to complete her instructions. The others look at him in confusion. Why is the great prodigy doing as this arrogant teacher asks?

'Oh, there someone who isn't trash? A good student.' Zhou Yi thinks for a few minutes before turning her attention back to the other students. "Is that all? Good good, those who dared to talk back will have their weights doubled as punishment!"

"What!" They all exclaim in shock.

"Those who don't finish within the time limit, they will be expelled."

The students hesitated believing that it's just a bluff but after looking into her glaring eyes. They realize that she's serious. "Run! Quick!"

'This is really hard on the body if you don't exercise well. Good thing, I gain the habit of jogging every morning while wearing weights. My stamina is higher than normal people.'

Back in the classroom, Zhou Yi watched the students from the window. She noticed that the boy who ran out earlier did more laps than required. "This boy.....a really good student, not blinded by title or prestige and focus only on getting stronger. I have to nurture him carefully, he requires more brutal training."

Each day was more exhausting than the next. It was evident there were getting fewer and fewer people with each passing week. Students that couldn't withstand the cruel and taxing lessons were forced to dropout. This school is indeed a school for monsters only.

3 months went by, rumors were flying around the students regarding a certain two. One bearing the golden hair like the sun had gentle and friendly demeanor, while the other had abyssal black hair resembling the night was more quiet but has a comforting presence. Not to mention, they were often seen together on school grounds outside classes, coming and go in pairs. It didn't take long for the students to start calling them the princes of Sun and Moon.

The qualification exam had come. Everyone were excited for the time when these two strong princes fight on stage, competing for first. Yaoheng was a rank 30 spirit master breaking to spirit grandmaster while Long Chen is currently a rank 31 grandmaster. The difference isn't that great.

In Long Chen's team, there were two boys. One was named Hao Lin and the other is Luo Han. Hao Lin is a rank 22 agility attack type spirit master, possessing wind spear spirit essence. Luo Han is a rank 26 defense type spirit master with his Steel rhino spirit essence. It's a somewhat balanced team considering he's a control attack type spirit master, more towards control though.

All 3 of them trained together to further improve our understanding of each other's abilities and range.

"You two come at me together." Long Chen proposes.

"Eh, are you sure." "Doesn't that put you at a disadvantage?"

"No, just do it."

The two boys look at each other and back at him in confusion but eventually steeled themselves. "Here we go!"

Few minutes later>>>>>

Two boys were laying on their back, panting and breathing in air desperately. Their fight consist of Long Chen dodging their attacks and redirecting the weight to make them lose balance. He didn't even take out his spirit essence!

"Brother Long is too strong!"

"I agree!"

"It's not that I'm too strong, you just lack technique and experience in combat. Your strength doesn't solely rely on spirit power, else that'll make you no different from a muscle head. You need to learn to use your strength to you advantage and understand your skills better and hone it."

As they spent time together, it was obvious Long Chen gained a great understanding on how they could use their skills. Under his guidance and easy to understand teaching, they made advancements.

"Brother Long! Here we go!" The two of them would fight with Long Chen day by day. Gradually, their attacks have become more stronger and accurate. Additionally, their teamwork is also progressing well. They are now capable of filling in for each other's weakness.

"Long Chen, will we really be alright?"

"What are you saying now? With Long Chen here, how can we be defeated?"

"Don't just rely on me. You must remember what to do during a match. I'll let you two test out the fruits of your training."

" Please pay attention. Examinee's must enter your respective examination fields." The announcement was made and Long Chen's group did as asked. They went to the 23rd examination field. Long Chen happened to see a familiar face. It was dark-haired teacher Wang Yan from the story. He is the examiner of this field.

Moving on, Long Chen's team did not engage in combat until some time later. Most of the students expected for the other two teammates to be eliminated first in the battle but to their surprise even without Long Chen, the other two handled the fight well and won. The two unnoticeable students that didn't stand out much compared to other had suddenly become strong. At first, they all thought it is a fluke.
