5 Chapter 5

After several victorious fights, one thing enter their mind. 'It wasn't a fluke!!' In all those fights, Long Chen didn't need to move much. The only students dumb enough to try and attack him are those who overestimate their ability or those who lost their rationality due to panic.

Every single one of those attacks, fell to the ground before they could even reach 5 meters near him. Other believed it to be exhaustion but Wang Yan thought differently after seeing that the collapsed students were sweating profusely and trembling the moment they wake up. Even after questioning, they didn't wish to speak about it.

'There's definitely something weird happening here. It's most likely a mental type attack but I don't see a spirit ring. Is it his essence?'

Only after experiencing countless fails in analyzing the student called Long Chen did Wang Yan finally give up and ask.

During the night, there is a grand celebration among the new students for the ending of the exam.

"Wuwuwu....Big Brother, we passed! It's thanks to big brother that we made it through the exam so smoothly!" Luo Han cries crocodile tears.

"Don't be silly. You two have worked very hard for this. It's not just my efforts alone. Besides, you two also did most of the fighting. I didn't need to move much."

"That's not true!" Hao Lin rebukes, "Brother Long had so much for us. From training us to improving our spirit power! If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have gotten this far!" Luo Han nods in agreement.

They all chatted merrily when an unexpected person cuts in from behind. "Hi, Long Chen. As expected, you passed with flying colors." Yaoheng hugs his friend from the back by circling his arm around his neck.

"Y-You're!" "Dai Yaoheng from class 2!"

"You must be Long Chen's teammates. Nice to meet you. Sorry but I'm going to borrow him for a while. You wouldn't mind, right?"

The two boys absent-mindedly shook their head. They did snap back to reality until later when Yaoheng and Long Chen were out of their sight.

"Did brother Long got kidnapped?"

"But I heard that they are good friends and are usually together?"

"....."

____Somewhere Else____

"I see from your team that you all did well." Yaoheng starts the conversation first.

"Yes, assuming that's the same for you."

"I wouldn't hear the end of it from my family if I didn't pass with flying colors."

"True." Long Chen recalls the time he spent at their home, listening to his mother brag about how brilliant her sons are.

"Hope that we meet in the Top 64 tournament that's coming up next."

"We probably will as long as you don't lose to someone else before me."

"Ouch, that hurt. Hasn't your tongue grown more sharper ever since arriving here."

'I was badly influenced by Teacher Zhou's poisonous mouth.' Long Chen commented in his head.

"Well, for today. Let's celebrate our future success!" Yaoheng takes his friend by the arms and drags him to the food stalls.

____Classroom____

"The results are out, some of you have failed, disappointingly." Teacher Zhou Yi announces the results and called out the failed students one by one. They were to leave Shrek academy by tomorrow. "Now that that's settled. The rest of you lot have passed and made it through Shrek's requirements."

The remaining students all cheered in glee at their official acceptance into this prestigious school.

"Yes! " "We don't have to leave!" "Great!"

"Don't celebrate just yet! The next event in the important one. The top 64 tournament is an event where you can fully showcase your skills and talent." Teacher Zhou yells, putting a stop to their original happy mood. "You lot better not slack off right after a mere pass."

The class gulped a mouthful of saliva in front of Teacher Zhou's nasty glare, not even gonna try to rebuke her words and obediently nod their heads.

A day later, the first day of tournament is already starting. Everyone were on edge at the tension and excitement to accomplish something here. The first few matching consist of mainly student battling their own classmates to decide on the best within the classes. This was easy for Long Chen's team, earning them a position within top 40. Day 1 passed in a flash.

However, Hao Lin and Luo Han will start to have problems in their fight from day 2 onwards. The students from here on out were on similar level as them.

Next battle, this fight was slightly hard to handle for the two boys so Long Chen had to step in. Their opponents this time consist of students from class 3. Two power attack system at rank 28 and one support system at rank 26. Luo Han and Hao Lin may have lower cultivation rank but their skills have been polished by Long Chen so they can deal with one power attack and his power boost gained from the support spirit master.

The other one headed in Long Chen's direction. The support spirit master paid more attention to this side since to them Long Chen posed the strongest threat to their victory. The opponent wasted no time in launching his most formidable attack.

A golden light covers his muscular arms. He went at Long Chen like how a Gorilla would at a prey but it was futile.

[Boundary mirror First path : The realm of hell ]

The mirror manifests in from of everyone and turns from monochrome to complete black, a very ominous black. No one could tell what was going on except for three individuals. The two opponents and Long Chen himself.

Smoke spread out from within the mirror and the surroundings morphs into that of a different dimension. The two felt as if they were dragged into the mirror itself and are currently in a different world. That was not far from truth.

The realm of hell, a skill that sinks its fangs deep into the conscious of the inflicted one and dives into their mind. It learns the deepest nightmares of the person and makes them go through with the pain ten times over. Only two method can allow one to break out of this spell. Either they have a higher or equal cultivation base or they have high mentality to protect themselves and conquer their fears.

However, those without any of the two can only be left in the dark to suffer. The skill continues until they are completely engulfed and lose consciousness or if the caster cancelled it himself. Truly a hell.

From a 3rd point of view, it looks like the two guys were clutching their head for sometime before fainting. Finally after seeing Long Chen reveal his spirit essence, everyone caught on that the previous student who fell in front of this person did not faint because they exhausted themselves, they were unable to withstand whatever attack that hit them.

It is fairly easy to conclude that this attack is a mental type attack, one of the more difficult type to counter. In the end with two out of the battle, the remaining one was also taken out by Hao Lin and Luo Han.

Through this battle, many students felt dejected and forfeit whenever they saw that their teams were being pitted against Long Chen as they knew they had no way of dealing with his attack, only Long Chen is aware of its flaws. With this, Long Chen's team made it easily to the top ranks and qualify for the tournament.
