Link woke up, Got ready and left for the library. Bai informed them that class was canceled and they could do what they wanted in the morning, but they have to gather in the middle of the Town for the test. Link Recorded more books until he had to stop. Students started leaving.
All students were gathered in the Town. Over 350 Students were there, but they were not in their Uniform. Some of them had casual clothing and others wore Armor.
Link wore his Armor, standing with his friends when a giant Magical Circle appeared, covering the whole Town.
"Listen up" A commanding voice boomed "Each and everyone of you will be teleported to a random spot. This continent is massive and you might not even meet another person from this Academy even if you traveled for a long time. Let's keep it simple here. The items you were given are the things you're allowed to take with you. You will have to survive there, death is a possibility, either from creatures, people or from the plants and terrain. Good luck to you all, and i hope i see everyone back here safely"
The Circle around everyone started to shine in a dim light slowly but steadily increasing.
"So this is another continent? No wonder no one managed to find the Academy before. Just how big is this world?" Link muttered to himself.
<It is two times bigger than your old one. But that matters not, you don't need to discover everything, just get stronger and leave this place.>
"That's the plan" Link stated. He wore his Armor with nothing on him. His bow, arrows, throwing knives were all in his Inventory. He also had a variety of new items. They were given to him by the Academy.
Link had 10 Gold Coins, food and water, an odd looking emblem and a book.
The Emblem was given to everyone, it was some sort of a flare gun, but a bit different. When a Student wants to be picked up, all they have to do is break it and a professor will appear to take them, and if they did not have the amount of Gold needed for the Exam they will be failed automatically and expelled.
The book was called 'The Sky Language' it was given to them so they could study the common language in this continent. Others have not started reading it yet but Link with the 'Scholar' Skill managed to learn the language with ease.
"I owe that Old Man one" Link muttered, remembering the book he received from the Librarian.
'Sky Tips'
It explained so many things that Students might find difficult to understand about the rules and culture of that place. The Sky is the god worshiped around here. Humans, elves etc.. are not used as the race names, they all call themselves Sky.
Link managed to relay a lot of useful information to his friends last night. They were ready for anything.
Link did not forget to remind them to use the Emblem if things go awry. He made sure to say this to Samuel especially, since if anything happened to him he will not be able to face his parents.
The light became blinding, forcing all present to cover their eyes. But when it reached a certain level it started to dim.
Link moved his hand away, finding himself in a strange room.
It looked like a room, there was a bed, closet and decorations. When Link looked around he found it a bit girly, with stuffed animals and pink blinds.
"Where am i?" He muttered, walking towards the Window.
People were walking outside, a City with huge buildings and streets, cars were going to and from places. Even bicycles and many other things were there. Link was surprised, the place looked almost like his old world. If not for the Flying pets and the different races, he would have thought he was back home.
The cars were designed to look like an average car while the buses were colored blue. People had something in their hands shaped like a brick. Link was familiar with these, he read about them in the library. They were called Devices or Relics. Invented by a genius Alchemist from some kingdom. They were like phones, but with limited reach. They did not have satellites to widen it after all.
These Devices had many functions. Other than to make and receive calls and text. It could also simulate spells using the User's Mana or a Mana Stone. It is limited to Level 1 and 2 Spells but for ordinary people unable to use higher Magic, it was a life saving device.
"Why do they have that here? Was it not invented back in my original continent?" Link asked, staring at the City.
Ding!
Link shivered. He knew that he must have been Teleported to a person's home, but he was too distracted.
He heard the sound of a door shut, indicating that the owner of this place probably came back.
"Am i going to be imprisoned on my first day in this place?" Link said, running to hide underneath the bed. With the shades he used his 'Shadow Walk' to vanish. So even if the person looked under the bed, Link would not be seen. He sat there in complete silence, his heart beating fast.
Thud!
The bedroom door opened and closed, the sounds of footsteps walking in made Link's heart beat faster.
"I better not die from a heart attack" Link thought to himself. This was his first time being in a situation like this. If he planned this beforehand he would have been fine but he was not ready, being put in this situation out of nowhere Link was scared of the misunderstanding his presence there would create.
"That fucking bastard. I swear i'll get him back for this" A voice of a girl echoed in Link's ears. She spoke with obvious struggle. It sounded like she was fighting back her tears "Why is he always picking on me? What have I done to him?"
Link just sat there trying his best not to move or make a sound. And surprisingly it was way harder than fighting Beasts.
The girl took off her shirt, throwing it onto the bed and she started fiddling with her pants.
"Oh no" Link thought "This is so wrong" He closed his eyes quickly. The girl changed and left the room, making Link sigh in relief.
"How am i going to get out of this?" Link muttered.
<She is still in the house, you'll be caught if you attempt to leave now> Zero spoke <Just stay there>
Link agreed with her. His 'Shadow Walk' would not be very efficient in the light.
"I just have to wait until the sun goes down" Link thought. Taking a deep breath to calm himself. He really hated misunderstandings, and he knew that if he was caught, he would not be able to explain his situation and be marked as a pervert and thief.
When Link looked from the window, he saw that the room was on the second floor. His plan was to jump out of the window when the time is right. And the only time to do that would be at night, when no one is outside to see him and start asking questions.
The hours went by excruciatingly slow. Link was bored out of his mind. Just hearing the girl's footsteps once in a while from downstairs.
He had a frown on his face. With his ear on the floor he could clearly hear her crying and sobbing.
Link managed to understand from her random babbling that some people keep on bullying her and something about being shunned and treated like an eyesore.
"What the hell? Is this some high school drama or something?" Link thought to himself, but quickly changed his mind considering the sword and armor the girl had on when she came back.
Even though he felt uncomfortable listening in on her, he couldn't do anything about it.
Night came and the girl came up and jumped on her bed, Link could still hear her quick sobs.
"By the gods, it has been hours and she's still crying, what the hell happened to her?" Link thought to himself "I should be the one crying for fuck sake"
Link focused on her breathing, waiting for her to fall asleep. After a while her breathing became slow and calm, that was when Link quickly made his move.
He still had 'Shadow Walk' on, making him hard to spot. He walked to the opened window and peaked outside. The place was dark and empty, lit by the street lamps.
Before jumping out, Link wore his Mask just in case and looked at the girl.
She had elven ears with smooth blond hair. Her face was pretty and her lips were naturally red.
Link was stunned by her looks, but he quickly realized the creepiness of the situation and looked away.
"I need to get the fuck out of here" He muttered, jumping out the window.
Before hitting the ground, Link used 'Float'. A gust of air slowed him down, until he landed gently on the ground. He looked left and right then vanished into an alleyway.
****
"Who was that? How long has he been here?" The girl muttered, her face shocked.
She got up and closed the window then went down and checked all the doors and windows.
"Was that a thief?" She said "That's a creepy mask"
