Reborn to be the strongest God

After Centuries of being the Demonlord, Gerar quits. Why must he torture men when it's no longer fun? Why must he conquer the world when there's nothing to gain from it? Why must he be the demon lord when there's nothing left to challenge? So, he decides to quit and just dies. But instead of being reborn as a weak demon or even a human, he gets reborn as an Angel and thus his journey to supreme godhood begins! . .. ... Hi, Yet here- So, this is a fantasy story but there are also sci-fi elements. There's a harem but Mc's not particularly into romance. This story is basically a culmination of the things I find interesting and hopefully, you guys will find it interesting too (It'll keep on evolving into different coherent stories, ranging from traditional fantasy to sci-fi and even space exploration, as the volumes pile up). This'll also be my largest planned novel yet, so let's see how that turns out. I'll try to keep the updates regular and will release bonus chapters if I can. In return, I expect votes. Oh yeah, I do have a server. https://discord.gg/vnnbHCJ4Sn Thank you for reading; I wish you a good day.

The Great Gracicus Festival (Part 4)

"The hell was that?" A mid-tier god shouted. "The hell was that!!"

"Keep your voice down," Xorax sighed. "In a matter of a day, that kid might be your colleague…"

"But-"

A lot of sighs.

The gods-

Particularly the mid-tier ones didn't like the idea of a lesser being a god- and certainly not that upstart.

And because of that-

They nodded at each other.

No verbal communication necessary, they already knew what they had to do.

And they were going to do just that.

There were still two more groups' battles but no one was interested in those, and the vast majority of the mid-tier gods just disappeared.

"They're up to no good…." One of the lower-tier gods mumbled.

"Leave them," Zamas shrugged. "They don't know that boy."

"You speak as though you already think of him-"

"A god?" Zamas chuckled. "NO. he's much more fearsome than just 'a god'."

***

"So, that's the brat's place?" asked the god.

"Yes-" the high angel answered.

They'd been tasked.

With a heavy duty.

"Everyone's been already evacuated?" The god asked.

Mid tier, a fine beard.

He was falling from grace.

Rule wavering, authority declining.

This was the perfect chance to do this and get everything back; force the other gods to respect him again!

Yes!

His time had come!

"All except the fortieth apartment."

Before coming to the festival, he was feeling miserable. Nothing to gain, nothing to live for.

Yet-

The timing of that brat showing couldn't be better.

Now he had a purpose, now he had a goal.

"Perfect!" he grinned, raising his hands up- forming a massive ball of enraging fire- "Don't hate me, it's nothing personal!" It was all for his glorious return!

The giant ball of fire dropped-

It'd incinerate the whole building along with all inside.

Of course, the casualty will only be two-

And they could easily be revived… oh wait, since their bodies would cease to exist, maybe it won't be possible to revive them?

Well, who cared about that.

The god was only interested in-

"So, this is where the disgusting hatred was stemming from-"

A voice-

From behind the two-

A voice-

They didn't expect-

And a voice-

Not only sent shivers up their spines but also goosebumps…

So cold-

The fire descending had already disappeared. Not a trace.

"But you're-"

"Supposed to be in there?" A grin- "I still am."

The god attempted to turn around, but before he could, he had a hole in his chest… warm golden blood streaked out as a hand came out of him- with his heart- "ARGHH!! You won't ge-"

"Did you know they used to call me the supreme god slayer?"

"Sup-"

"Yes. Because I didn't bother wasting time on you worms." A chuckle-

Squish!

Golden liquid streamed and slowly descended-

"ARGHHHHH!!!" The god foamed, turning to dust.

His very core had been destroyed, he was no longer immortal.

"My lord!" The high angel roared, unable to save his master- "You won't get away with this. They'll era-"

Flick!

With a flick of his fingers a ball of black fire enveloped the angel- instantly returning him to naught.

Gone.

"I'd like to see them try." A big wide toothy grin.

And then nothing.

***

The next day-

"Hey, I heard lord Maraheal's name disappeared from the sacred gospel," a lower tier god whispered.

The final match was about to begin.

"Disappeared? Did he descend to the lower plains?"

"We're not sure…no one knows anything…"

"Who cares. The guy was about to become a renegade anyway."

"AND NOW!" The emcee declared- "The battle you have all been waiting for!!!" Participants were gathering-

It was about to start.

The final match-

"Well, I never liked the guy anyway." A shrug.

"Shh! Shhee!!"

***

"This is gon be easy win!" Rose was really psyched, punching her palm.

Bright sky-

Beautiful weather.

Roaring crowd.

Perfect day.

"Yes but-" Sarveisa stared at Mihael. "Something wrong?"

"It's odd…" The boy's focus was on the ring-

And particularly on one shirtless boy.

"Odd?"

"Odd… there appears to be a familiar presence among those-" He paused. "Never mind." A faint grin.

And with that-

Rose and Mihael entered the ring.

"The rules are simple. Just like yesterday, knockout or yield would decide the match. Hovering is allowed but flying is not." The ref explained. "NOW BEGIN!"

Am I boring you with the tournament and stuff?
