The First Challenge (2)

"Guys, today's the second day of practice. We have got only six more days left. We need to work hard."

A few days went by while they all were busy practicing. Ying Yue spent most of her time outside the dorm since Jingfei seemed to stay there round the clock. Slowly the day of the competition was nearing.

The Day Of The Competition,

"Everyone, today is the competition as we all know. We must win. But don't dance to impress. Dance to express. Express the feelings of the song through your dance. Don't think we are up on the stage. Imagine that we are in our practice room if you are too nervous. And, best of luck." Ying Yue said to everyone as they were heading to the main hall.

An Hour Before The Competition,

"Now the time we all were waiting for has come. I will be announcing your opposite team now."

Though Ying Yue tried to sound confident in front of her teammates, she was also nervous, just like others. All words of Hou Ling sounded indistinct until he called for Ying Yue's team.

"Team Five vs. Team Ten. Song- Me Too by Meghan Trainor."

Ying Yue nervously looked at the list of teams hanging by the side of the stage. Team Ten consisted of Sun Qiang as the leader with Pan Xioyi, Zhang Biya, and Shao Liqin.

By her side, the most chatty person in their group Yi Ruolan whispered to Ying Yue," Is this Sun Qiang the Sun Qiang? The legendary Sun Qiang?"

Ying Yue replied," Legendary is a bit exaggerated. But yes she is indeed the Sun Qiang."

'How did I miss her! I was so focused on Jingfei that I overlooked other strong participants.'

Sun Qiang is a very popular figure for her exceptional looks. When she was around 7-8 years old, a video of her dancing went viral on Vtube and it was one of the most-watched videos. Since then she started uploading covers of her dance. She also has a modeling record.

'If I remember correctly, she was almost one of the members of Bluefish. Due to a scandal of her sleeping with rich men, she lost her chance. I still don't believe she would do that."

After Hou Ling finished, every team got an hour to prepare before the competition. All teams went to their practice room. So did Ying Yue's team.

"Guys, I suppose we all know what we are up against?" Ying Yue asked as soon as they got to their practice room.

All gave a small nod. It seemed like all the energy they had a few hours ago died.

"They aremoret experienced than us, I agree to that."

Before she could say more, she was interrupted by Ruolan, "They also have Pan Jiayi."

"Who?" Xia Wen asked.

As Ruolan expressed her surprise at Xia Wen's ignorance of Pan Jiayi, Ying Yue explained.

"She is a popular dancer abroad. She has grown abroad and started learning dance there as well. And soon she became very famous there. Though many locals don't know her, she still has a big fanbase. Her mother is the famous Pan Li."

"Oh, I know her. She taught me singing for a little more than a month. then she left for abroad, Didn't know she had a daughter."

"No one did. People found out about it a few years ago when Pan Jiayi posted a photo of her with her mom. Anyway, we don't have much time left. We shouldn't waste our time gossiping."

"Yeah, so what's the plan?"

"What plan? It's simple. We will perform as we decided before. And don't be nervous. It's going to be okay. Now let's go and touch up our makeup."

While everyone was busy with their makeup, Ying Yue went to check the competitor Jingfei.

'Oh, cute concept.'

Jingfei's song was 'Only have feelings for you.'

'Interesting. Their competitor is Fu Meifeng. I was so absorbed in Jingfei that I missed all the tough competitors. I should not focus on Jingfei only."

Fu Meifeng is the only daughter of the Fus. Meifeng's father, Fu Qingshan is a very big businessman. They're more influential than even the Jiangs. Fu Meifeng has always topped her class of dance. She, without any doubt, is one of the best and toughest competitors of TBOTB.

'At least, Jingfei won't plot anything against Meifeng, that is if she has any brains.'

Ying Yue then noticed that their hour was almost up. She hurriedly went back and did a touch-up.

"So everyone, the time we all have been eagerly waiting for has arrived. Before we start the competition, let's welcome our guest judge of today. A big hand for our favorite Su Yun ."

Everyone burst into claps and screams of surprise.

Su Yun is a member of the girl group Twilight. And probably anyone's girl crush.

'God, I can't believe she's here.'

Though Ying Yue didn't join others' shouts to save her voice for the singing later, she was shouting louder than anyone internally. Su Yun was her inspiration to become an idol. Or at least she played a big role.

"Hello everyone, I'm Su Yun of Twilight. Best of luck with your competition girls."

All the girls cheered with screams. After a while, when everyone calmed down Feng Chonglin said," So let's start. The first performance is of Team One with Su Huan and Zhao Xiuying, Song Shuchun, and Dong Qingling. They will perform on the song 'Power' by Little Mix.

A few performances went by. Team One won the first performance between them and Team Six, in Team Two vs. Team Seven the latter won, in Team Three vs. Team Eight, the latter won, in Team Four vs. Team Team Nine the former won. In no time it was their turn.

"Next coming is the performance of Team Five led by Jiang Ying Yue with Xia Wen, Lai Yan, and Yi Ruolan.

From all sides, everyone cheered as they went on the stage.
